Chapter 32 Rescuing the Hostages

Silver calmly put away his wand, his face still, as if he had just done something insignificant just now - he had been rehearsing in the dormitory for this action for a week.

He waved to the enthusiastic audience, which won him more applause.

"I have to say, you're more suitable to be an actor, Jack." The lazy female voice rang in Silver's mind. "I think your talent in acting is much better than magic."

"I have emphasized many times. You can speak softly and don't invade my brain casually!"

"The principal of Hogwarts is watching you, you don't want to expose my existence." The female voice paused, "In addition, this trick doesn't last long. If you don't hurry up, then the lake will be restored to its original state without waiting for you to come back. You don't want to swim back in this cold lake."

Silver no longer argued with Ravenclaw. This special magic of "Moses' Sea Division" was originally a special ancient magic used to search for underwater objects. This magic was promoted in the hands of the Jewish prophet Moses. He separated the Red Sea and opened up a Jewish escape route. When the Egyptians chased to the center of the sea, the sea water flooded the Egyptian wizard army.

Although this ancient magic is amazing, its lengthy spells and harsh application conditions are disliked by later wizards. After the emergence of modern magic, the ancient magic "Moses Sea" was also forgotten by wizards along with other ancient magic. The reason why Silver learned this magic from Ravenclaw was to complete this competition decently without having to swim in the cold lake like other warriors.

Although the Black Lake in Hogwarts is far from comparable to the Red Sea, Silver's magic cannot be compared with the Jewish prophet Moses thousands of years ago. According to Ravenclaw's estimate, Silver only needs a quarter of an hour to complete the round trip.

Although the lake water is separated, the mud and silt at the bottom of the lake are not suitable for people to run on it - not to mention that the Black Lake is not small.

Silver took out a pile of paper birds with magical characters from his arms and sprinkled them forward. The activated paper birds flew crookedly towards the depths of the lake.

"It seems that the Silver player plans to reuse the same trick, use the paper bird to position the phantom to move into the bottom of the lake!" Bagman explained, "This is a very smart idea. The black lake in Hogwarts is not a small pond. Even if you use magic to separate the lake water and run on your feet, you have to fight against the mud and silt that has been deposited for many years! But if there is a phantom, it will be no problem!"

"Look, the Silver player has taken action, he has begun to phantomize, let's see what he is going to do next!"

Silver stood on a huge rock painted with many mermaids, holding spears in their hands, chasing something that looked like giant squid.

"Mermaid murals." Silver looked at the art works of these mermaids with interest. "It seems that it has been tens of thousands of years."

"That's natural." Perhaps because he felt that the distance was safe enough, Ravenclaw spoke directly. "Mermaids had a very developed civilization. These mermaids in Hogwarts are the remaining descendants of the Atlantic Kingdom. Although their civilization had long disappeared, they were still intelligent creatures and did not return to ignorance."

"But today I am not a mermaid. I have to find what I have lost to complete this competition." Silver looked around and found many rough stone dwellings, spotted with algae. Silver saw some faces in the dark windows, which were obviously the permanent resident mermaids at the bottom of the lake.

The mermaids had iron-gray skin, long dark green hair, and messy. Their eyes were yellow, their incomplete teeth were yellow, and their necks were covered with pebbles strung with thick ropes. They seemed to know that Silver was the culprit of separating the lake water, and they smiled maliciously at him. One or two ran out of the cave to see more clearly, holding spears in their hands, slapped the lake water with their thick and powerful silver fish tails, and threatened toward Silver.

Silver ignored the mermaids, and he changed himself into a pair of light overshoes and walked forward. There were more and more stone houses, and some houses were surrounded by gardens. He saw a pitiful little Green Lodi tied in front of a door. Mermaids emerged from all directions, all looking at him curiously, pointing at him, and whispering with their hands covering their mouths.

Silver continued to walk along the road he had opened and found the square of the small mermaid village, surrounded by houses, and a large group of mermaids floated in front of the house. In the middle, some mermaids were singing in unison, calling for the warriors to come. Behind them stood a rough statue: a mermaid carved from a huge stone. Four people were firmly tied to the tail of the mermaid stone statue.

Ron was tied between Hermione and Kakarov. There was also a girl who was eight years old, whose misty silver hair convinced Silver that she was Fleur Delakure's sister. The four of them looked very sleeping, their heads shook weakly on their shoulders, and a string of thin blisters kept popping out of their mouths.

"Hehe, it seems that the target of Krum's rescue is Kakarov." Silver had indeed looked like this. Silver reached into the lake, not as cold as he thought.

"It seems that I still can't escape and have to swim for a while." Silver added a spell to himself and plunged into the lake in front.

Silver swam hard towards the hostages. His swimming skills were not superb, and he could even be said to be clumsy, but fortunately he was not too far from the hostages. After some struggle, he finally arrived at the destination. But the time for "Moses' Sea Division" had come, and the lake water returned to its original state. Silver lamented and accepted his fate and put his spirit on the rescue of Hermione. The ropes that the mermaids tied the hostages to the statue were woven by water plants, thick and slippery, and very strong. Even with a knife, it might not be able to cut them open.

"Then - the God's Fighting No Shadow!" Silver pointed the wand at the straw rope tied to Hermione. Silver had excellent control over this magic. The magic cut the straw rope tied to Hermione and did not hurt her at all.

Hermione floated a few inches above the bottom of the lake in a conscious mind, drifting around with the waves.
