Chapter 13 Snake Shadow

"Oh, isn't this the famous Potter? Why don't you say hello when you meet the chief? It's so rude." Malfoy maliciously called Harry Potter and Ron Weasley who were walking towards the foyer.

"Who are you? It turns out to be Malfoy, the chief of Slytherin. Can you care about me?" Harry fought back unwillingly.

"Malfoy, you'd better speak more carefully. The little followers behind you, Ban Crab and Gollco, didn't say hello to me either." Ron said loudly.

Crab and Gole smirked behind Malfoy.

"Then I have to deduct some points for Gryffindor. What do you think about the 10th?"

"Malfoy, I am also a prefect! Don't think I don't know that prefect has no right to deduct points, only professors can deduct points." Ron said sternly.

"I know the chief can't deduct points, Weasley," said Malfoy.

Crab and Goer burst into laughter. "But members of the investigation team-"

"What?" Harry asked.

"Investigation Operations Group, Porter," Malfoy said, pointing to a small silver symbol under the long badge of his robe. "It is a group of selected students who support the Ministry of Magic and were selected by Professor Umbridge. In short, the members of the Investigation Operations Group do have the power to deduct points. So, Porter and Weasley, you personally have to deduct tens of them for disrespect for the members of the Investigation Operations Group."

Harry pulled out his wand, but Ron pushed it aside and whispered, "Don't!"

"It's a wise move, Weasley," Malfoy whispered. "It seems that you are indeed better than Porter and more suitable for being a senior."

He laughed loudly and walked away with Crab and Golco.

"Harry, don't pay attention to him," Ron said.

Harry looked at Malfoy angrily, feeling an indescribable anger in his heart.

He spoke and made a "hiss" sound, which made Ron feel creepy...

"Did you hear anything? Jack." Hermione said with a frown.

"It seems to be in the foyer." Silver listened to the louder and louder shouting, "It seems that it is Umbridge. She told me a few days ago that she would take major actions."

"You really look like a traitor to Hogwarts now." Hermione pointed at the special operations team logo on Silver's chest with a smile.

"I'm not a traitor, Hermione," said Silver. "I'm a humiliating undercover agent."

When they arrived at the foyer, it was already crowded with people. The students who had supper came out of the auditorium to see what was going on, and many people were crowded on the marble stairs.

"Get out of the way, I am Jack Silver, the leader of the Special Operations Team!" Silver shouted loudly.

The crowd quickly gave up a passage.

"You are really like a big traitor now, not an undercover agent." Hermione said softly.

"Then you are one of the traitor's girlfriends now, Hermione." Silver said proudly.

Professor Trelawney stood in the middle of the foyer, holding a magic wand in one hand and an empty wine bottle in the other, looking completely crazy. Her hair was tilted, and her glasses seemed to be much larger than the other. Her countless scarves and shawls hung in a mess, making people feel like she was in a mess. Next to her were two large boxes, one standing upside down, as if thrown from the stairs.

"No!" she screamed. "No! This cannot happen! I cannot accept it!"

"Didn't you expect this?" said a pointed little girl-like voice, seemingly funny.

The person who spoke is naturally Professor Umbridge, a senior investigator of the Ministry of Magic. "Although you can't even predict the weather tomorrow, you should always realize that your poor performance during my class and no improvement in the future will inevitably lead to your firing, right?"

"You-you can't!" Professor Trelawney shouted, tears pouring out from behind the large lenses, "You-you can't fire me! I'm here for sixteen years! Hogwarts is me-my home!"

"This used to be your home," said Professor Umbridge. Seeing Professor Trelawney crying bitterly, she showed a smug smile on her toad's face. "Until an hour ago, the Minister of Magic signed your dismissal order. Now please leave the hall, you are embarrassed."

Umbridge stood there, gloatingly watching Professor Trelawney tremble and whimper, shaking back and forth in the box with waves of grief. At this time, Professor McGonagall squeezed out of the crowd and walked straight to Professor Trelawney, patted her back vigorously, and pulled out a big handkerchief from her robe.

"Okay, OK, Sybil. Be calm and blow your nose. Everything is not as bad as you think, and you won't leave Hogwarts."

"Oh, is it, Professor McGonagall?" Umbridge said viciously, "Who approved this?"

"I." said a low voice.

The oak door opened, and the students next to the door hurriedly dodged, and Dumbledore appeared at the door. He stood in the door frame, set against the misty night, with a sense of majesty. He let the door open and strode through the crowd towards Professor Trelawney. She was still sitting on the box, with tears on her face and trembling all over, and Professor McGonagall accompanied her.

"You, Professor Dumbledore?" Umbridge let out a particularly ugly smirk, "I'm afraid you don't know. I still have it here." She pulled out a roll of parchment from her robe.

"I signed the dismissal order with the Minister of Magic. According to the Education Order No. 23, Hogwarts's highest investigator has the right to inspect, retain probation and fire any other teacher. That is to say, any teacher I think does not meet the standards of the Ministry of Magic can be fired. Now I think Professor Trelawney is not qualified and I have fired her."

Dumbledore still smiled. He looked down at Professor Trelawney who was still sobbing in the box and said, "Of course you are right, Professor Umbridge. As the Supreme Investigator, you have every right to fire my teachers. However, you may not have the right to expel them from the castle, and this power is probably-"

Dumbledore politely bowed and said, "It's still the principal, I hope Professor Trelawney will continue to live in Hogwarts."

Professor Umbridge stood there, staring at Dumbledore, still smiling kindly.

"What do you plan to do with her when I appoint a new divination teacher and need to use her room?" Umbridge whispered, but his voice still spread throughout the hall.

"Oh, that's not a problem," said Dumbledore happily. "Hogwarts is big, with enough rooms for teachers to rest, not to mention that I must remind you that the power to appoint teachers still belongs to the principal of Hogwarts."
