Chapter 18 Two Books

"How did you do it? It's incredible!"

"Ron, this is the twelfth time you have asked me this." Harry seemed a little impatient. "I have said it twelve times, and I just did what the textbook said."

"But this is really incredible. You have successfully completed such a troublesome potion and even tied with Silver." Ron murmured.

"It's probably because of good luck." Harry said, and stuffed the book "Advanced Potion Making" into his schoolbag without leaving any trace.

At the same time, Silver and Hermione were also having a conversation in Ravenclaw's lounge.

"Give it to you." Silver handed the bottle of Fuling agent to Hermione.

"Oh, I can't. This is too expensive." Hermione refused.

"It's just a little fun potion, and it's not very useful to me," Silver said.

"Jack, it's not a funny little potion," Hermione said. "It can make you lucky all day!"

"I'm lucky enough, Hermione." Silver stuffed the lucky agent into Hermione's pocket without saying a word. "This should be yours, I'm just taking a quick look."

Silver handed her "Advanced Potion Making" to Hermione, "You see, the former owner of this book is an amazing wizard, and he made many annotations on it - in fact, the success of my Living Hell Decoction is mainly due to this book."

"Jack, I remember I brought you a brand new high-level potion production!" Hermione took Silver's "High-level Potion Production" in disbelief. The cover of the book was brand new, but when she opened it, she found that it was an old book, with dense fonts written on it. "I didn't see Professor Slughorn giving you an old book." Hermione was very surprised. She forgot about the Fuling Agent for a moment.

"Hermione, I've collected all the books you gave me." Silver blinked, "I'm reluctant to use the gift you gave me-in fact, since I was second grade, I've used old books, and this "Advanced Potion Making" was something I asked for from Professor Slughorn a few days ago."

"Why?!"

"Because--" Silver's mind was spinning quickly. It was impossible to say that he was too stingy and refused to pay for it.

"Because I think old books are also very meaningful, and there are often various wonderful annotations on them, such as this book "Advanced Potion Making", and he put forward a lot of interesting insights." Silver said slowly while considering it.

"It's so crazy." Hermione flipped through the book quickly, "It's like a prank, my god, this is completely unreasonable..."

"So I said I had taken the opportunity. If I didn't have the help of the wonderful annotations in this book, you should be the first. This blessing agent belongs to you." Silver said.

"And Harry Potter, Jack." Hermione looked up at Silver with a funny look. "You cheated like this and made Professor Slughorn bleed."

Silver waved his hand. "Hermione, Professor Slughorn's wealth is far beyond your imagination. These two small bottles of Fuling are nothing to him. And Harry Potter, I don't think he has completed the Living Hell Decoction by his own ability."

"How did he do it?" Hermione was still flipping through the book "Advanced Potion Making". "Professor Slughorn also gave him an old book. Could it be that there is such annotation in that old book?"

"Maybe the notes on his book are more clearer, Hermione."

"I think I know who the predecessor of this book is." Hermione pointed to a row of small words at the bottom of the cover.

"This book belongs to the mixed-race prince."

The next few potion classes this week turned out to be Harry’s exclusive show—if you ignore Silver and Hermione, Professor Slughorn praised the three of them very much. This made Malfoy and Shabini very jealous, but there was nothing to say, because every time the three of them made the potion was so perfect.

Hermione became very interested in the mixed-race prince. She carefully studied "Advanced Potion Making" every day. The mixed-race prince added notes on almost every page, and those notes were not related to the potion production. Some instructions looked like a spell made by the prince herself.

"Jack, the mixed-race prince might be a woman," said Hermione in the public lounge one Saturday night. "It might be a girl. I think that notes are not like boys, but more like girls."

Silver rolled his eyes, "Hermione, which woman would call herself a prince?"

Hermione was speechless, but she soon became energetic, "It is unlikely that so much content was done by one person. I think it should be a group. They studied these things together and wrote them in the book."

"This sounds much more reasonable, Hermione," said Silver. "The hybrid prince, maybe it's their organizational codename."

...

In Gryffindor's dormitory, Harry sat on his four-poster bed, flipping through the "Advanced Potion Making" in his hand, feeling a little nervous. These days, this book has helped him in potion class, but Harry always thinks of the damn diary when he was in the second grade.

Moreover, this book is quite strange. He only interacts with him during potion class. Once the get out of class is over, it becomes like an ordinary book. If he doesn't figure out what this book is, Harry may not be able to sleep well again.

He took out a bottle of fresh ink from the bedside table, inserted the quill pen and dipped it, letting a drop of ink fall on the first page of the textbook. The ink shone brightly on the paper for a second, and then it seemed as if it was sucked in by the paper, disappearing without a trace.
