Chapter 20 Untitled
Ron is very envious of Harry now because Harry only needs to take the three courses of Dark Magic Defense, Magical Skills and Herbal Science. However, he himself must work hard to complete a large number of homework assigned by teachers in various subjects in his limited spare time. This made Ron feel indignant and felt that he should have gone forward and retreated with Harry and took fewer subjects.
"Anyway, I will go to Fred and George to help in the future. They will never ask their younger brother for the O.W.Ls certificate!" Ron often said to Harry.
The courses are getting harder now, and almost all courses require them to use silent spells. Harry often sees his classmates' faces flushed in the common room or when eating, secretly competing with him, as if he has taken an overdose of constipation. But he knows that they are actually practicing the ability to not recite the spells and make the magic work. Only when they come to the greenhouse outside, can everyone breathe a sigh of relief. The plants dealing with in herbal classes are now more dangerous than in the past, but when the poisonous tentacles of Mandela grass catch them from behind unexpectedly, they can at least chant the spell loudly.
However, with the help of the Dark Magic Book King of Night Sky, not only did the Potions class become Harry's specialty, but even the silent spell that the students were unable to master became easy to master in Harry's hands - which gave Snape much less chance of finding him in the Dark Magic Defense Class.
Due to Ron's heavy workload and the fact that he had to practice silent spells day and night, Harry and Ron had no time to visit Hagrid. Hagrid no longer came to the staff's dining table for dinner, which was an ominous sign. And there were several times when they met Hagrid in the corridor or in the playground outside, and he pretended not to see them. He didn't hear them greet him, which was really strange.
"We must explain it." Harry looked up at the empty seat in the Shanghai-grid table of the faculty table during breakfast Saturday, and said. "He must have thought we didn't choose his course on purpose."
"There is a Quidditch trial this morning!" said Ron. "And I also have to practice the clear water-like spring mantra arranged by Flitvi! Besides, what can I explain? We can't tell him that we have no interest in teaching his stupid big brother English!"
"Hagrid will be sad in this way!" said Harry.
"We're hurt! Harry, I haven't forgotten the giant that almost beat us to death." Ron said frowningly, "Now I'll tell you. It's a lucky chance that we can escape. You didn't hear him talking about his foolish brother later - you can explain to Hager that he missed the magical animal class and couldn't choose it. Then why would I tell Hager? I don't want to take his class at all? If I continue to choose his class, I might be teaching Glopp how to tie his shoelaces now."
"But I only need to take three courses now. Wouldn't it be rude if I don't go to Hagrid to sit there?"
"Then you can go by yourself." Ron's face showed fear, "I don't want to see his little brother again."
"Then we'll wait until the Quidditch trials are over," Harry persuaded. Like Ron, he also felt that it would be better not to deal with Glopp in his life. So he must take Ron to see Hagrid.
"When it comes to Quidditch selection, there are so many people applying this year, and the trials may take one morning," Harry said.
When talking about the Quidditch selection, Ron suddenly felt energetic, "Yes! But it's a good thing that you were elected as the captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch team. I'm very sure to be selected as the goalkeeper!" Ron clenched his fists, looking confident.
"Ron." Harry lowered his voice because there were so many people in the auditorium. "I can't favor you too clearly. How is your goalkeeper skill?"
Ron was choked by a large piece of pickled salmon in his mouth.
"Cough cough." Ron coughed violently.
"Cough-free." Silver pointed at Ron with his wand, and Ron spit out the pickled salmon stuck in front of his trachea.
"Thank you. Harry." Ron breathed a sigh of relief, "I almost died."
"I'll tell you how well your skills are. Why did you react so much?" Harry asked in confusion.
Ron's voice was a little embarrassed, "Well, actually, I've always been determined to practice Quidditch skills - but you know, our classes this year are so heavy, so my skills may have declined a little..."
Harry looked at him with pity.
"What kind of eyes are you looking at! Harry, don't you believe me?" Ron raised his voice.
The owl who delivered the letter came, and now Harry didn't need to answer Ron's embarrassing question. The owl dived through the rain-splashed window, sprinkling raindrops on everyone's head and body in the auditorium. Harry had not received any letters since school started. Sirius seemed to have some mission and had never written a letter to Harry. He had secretly hoped that Lupin would write to him occasionally, but this expectation was also dashed. Therefore, when he saw Hedwig's snow-white figure among the brown and gray owls, he couldn't help but feel surprised. Hedwig fell in front of Harry with a large square package. A moment later, an identical package fell in front of Ron. His petite owl pig was pressed down below, and he was exhausted.
"Ha!" Harry said as he opened the package, revealing a brand new "High-level Potion Making", which was just sent by Lihen Bookstore.
"Oh, that's great," Ron also happily opened his copy, "I can finally return the damn old book to Slughorn. I don't know how many people have used it, and there are still several pages on it that seem like someone has vomited on it. How about your old book?"
"My book is pretty good," Harry said vaguely.
At this moment, the third owl landed in front of Ron with the "Prophet Daily" of the day, diverting Harry's attention.
"Ron, when did you start subscribing to the Prophet Daily?"
"My mom ordered it for me." Ron opened the newspaper, "My mom wanted me to work in the Ministry of Magic. She said she was decent and stable in the Ministry of Magic, and was much better than the store business of George and Fred Hulai."
Ron made a disdainful nasal voice, "I can't see anything good about working in the Ministry of Magic - look at my dad and Percy, their monthly salary combined is not as much as George and Fred earn in a week."
"Is there any special news today?" Harry asked.
