Chapter 63 Richard the Lionheart Wizard (Part 2)

"Sir, you are insulting me!" Mrs. Cole blushed, "I said this is not for money."

"Then you should take us to see that child now." Richard Silver seemed impatient. "If it weren't for the fact that you adopted him for so many years, I wouldn't have told you so much."

"I think it's not a good idea to hand Tom over to you." Mrs. Cole said angrily, "Now, leave me! Now!"

"Wait, madam, I think you should take some more time to hear what we are doing." Dumbledore pulled his wand out of the pocket of the suit and gently pointed at Madame Cole. The woman who was still furious just now suddenly became quiet.

"Yes, I should hear your intentions again." Mrs. Cole said mechanically.

"Richard, your temper is getting hotter and hotter." Dumbledore said quietly, "You were not like this before."

"Albus, do you think I want this?" Richard took a deep breath. "I haven't had much time anymore, look at my hair."

"In my opinion, you are still healthy now." Dumbledore shook his head. "In my impression, you are not a wizard who can't control his emotions in Muggles."

"Huh." Richard breathed hard, "Well, Albus, I was a little out of control just now, but I think it's hard to control anyone who reaches my level."

"Then leave it to me." Dumbledore said.

"Okay, then please."

Harry looked at Old Dumbledore beside him in confusion. Old Dumbledore shook his head at him with a smile, saying that now is not the time to explain.

The young Dumbledore waved his wand again, and Madame Cole's face regained its spirit.

"Oh, sorry, I must have been distracted just now." Mrs. Cole rubbed her face, "Those children made me too uneasy. I was a little tired on time. Where did we just say?"

"We just said we wanted to invite Tom Riddle to Hogwarts to school, and we think he has some of the qualities we are looking for."

"We probably don't have the money to support Tom in school, and Hogwarts is probably not a public school."

"No problem, Tom has a scholarship, which is enough to cover his tuition and living expenses."

"You mean he won a scholarship? How could that happen? He never signed up for it."

"Oh, as soon as he was born, our school recorded his name on the record-"

"Who registered for him? His parents?"

There is no doubt that Mrs. Cole is a very smart woman with a headache, even though she had just escaped from the influence of magic. Dumbledore obviously thought so, and Harry saw him picking up a completely blank piece of paper from Mrs. Cole's desk.

"Give it." Dumbledore said, handing her the paper. He waved his wand, "I think you'll know everything after you look at this."

Mrs. Cole's eyes drifted for a moment, then she focused again. She looked at the blank paper for a while.

"It seems to be perfectly in line with the procedure," she said calmly, returning the paper to Dumbledore. Her eyes then fell on a bottle of gin and two glasses, which certainly weren't there a few seconds ago.

"Well- Can I invite you a glass of gin?" she said in a particularly gentle voice.

"Thank you very much." Dumbledore said with a smile.

"Don't he need a drink?" Mrs. Cole pointed at Richard Silver.

"Oh, this gentleman never drinks." Dumbledore said.

It was obvious that Mrs. Cole was not a novice when drinking gin. She filled the cups of the two and drank all her own cup in one sip. She smacked her lips without any concealment, and smiled at Dumbledore for the first time, and immediately struck while the iron was hot.

"I wonder if you can tell me about Tom Riddle's background? He seemed to be born in this orphanage?"

"That's right," said Mrs. Cole, pouring herself some gin. "I remember clearly that thing clearly, because I had just come here to work. It was a New Year's Eve, it was snowing outside and it was so cold. On a bad night, the girl was not much older than I was, and staggered up the steps of the front door. Cough, we had experienced this kind of thing a lot. We helped her in. She gave birth to a baby in less than an hour. Less than an hour later, and she died."

Mrs. Cole nodded meaningfully and took another big sip of gin.

"Did she say anything before she die?" Dumbledore asked, "for example, about the boy's father?"

"Yeah, she said it. I remember she said to me, 'I wish he looked like his dad.' To be honest, she was right to hope so, because she didn't look so good-and then, she told me that the child was with his father, Tom, and the middle name was with her own father, Mavoro - Yeah, I know, this name is weird, right? We doubt if she was a circus or not.

The person in the room - she said that the boy's last name was Riddle. Finally, she said, "Don't let the man named Silver take the child away." It was strange enough. She died soon after she said this.

"Later, we named the child as she said, and the poor girl seemed to take it very important, but there was never Tom, Marvor, Riddle or Silver's family who came to see him, and he had no relatives, so he stayed in the orphanage until today."

"So, I would like to ask, has that woman left anything before?"

Harry could see the burning rage in Richard's eyes, his golden hair shining more and more, looking like an angry lion with hair and beards. (To be continued...)
