Chapter 74 Dumbledore's Thoughts

"After asking so many questions at once, how do you ask me to answer you?" Dumbledore stood up, wearing a flowing black robe. This article was started by... His voice was calm and with a calm force.

"Of course, it's more important to pick up." Silver shook his head, "After all, I'm very busy now, and the devil will soon come to Hogwarts with his minions. I can't miss this war that will be recorded in the history of magic."

"You can't help, Jack." Dumbledore walked towards Silver, his steps were steady and serious. "I know you got the Leprechaun Golden Army, but you don't understand that the outcome of this war depends only on the two people, and your efforts are meaningless."

"I was disappointed by your answer," said Silver. "I thought you would pretend to say 'Ah, so that's it,' and go out with me to fight the devil."

The wand was fancy turning in Silver's hand.

"You know something, but you don't understand what it means." Dumbledore sighed. "I not only fainted Slughorn, but also eliminated a memory of him. In fact, he has been sleeping in the principal's office for two weeks. You ask me why I'm hiding here? Because I want to correct my mistakes."

"Hi, Professor Dumbledore," said Silver. "If I had changed the time, I would have been happy to play the puzzle game with you. But now time is really tight, please tell me the key point. Are you an enemy or a friend to me now?"

"I don't know." Dumbledore closed his eyes.

"This is not a conversational attitude." Silver held the wand. "If you are still Dumbledore, then take your wand and go out to fight the devil with me! I don't want to know what you have done before! Has the black magic eroded your mind?"

"No, it's not a matter of magic." Dumbledore shook his head. "I was indeed reborn through the Horcrux, but I am still me. Albus Percival Woolflick Brian Dumbledore was not a saint at all."

"I thought you wouldn't question me like you are now," Dumbledore said. "In my vision, it would be Harry Potter who asked me this."

"You mean I'm not as easy as Harry Potter?" Silver said sarcastically, "Dumbledore. What do you want to do now?"

"I know Voldemort and the devil now." Dumbledore did not answer Silver's question positively. "Because I might have become a dark wizard like them, have you ever met Ms. Bashida-Is she okay?"

Dumbledore's current state is indeed a bit weird, and his words are very jumping.

"See you," said Silver, "just live without death, and never want to leave the altar of life."

"Is that?" said Dumbledore. "Since you've seen her, you must know what kind of person I was when I was young - pretentious, but feel that my life was dragged down by my disabled sister and my willful brother. I wasted my time all day."

"Until Greenward's arrival," Dumbledore's face showed an indescribable smile. "In fact, it was not so much that he influenced me, but I was leading and perfecting his theory - Muggles were forced to surrender, and we wizards were proud. Grindelwald and I were the glorious young leaders of this revolution."

"Does all this sound no different from the claims of Voldemort and the current devil?" Dumbledore said, his face full of fatigue.

"But you didn't become a wizard like them," Silver said.

"No, my idea has not changed," said Dumbledore. "I was unable to become them because I was a coward, and I was scared. Ariana's death made me understand that if I want to realize my ideal, many people will sacrifice like her. Whether I am hypocritical or cowardly, I am really scared, afraid that more people will die because of me."

"Then you should come forward and stop them now." Silver said in a deep voice, "Since you are afraid of seeing sacrifice-"

"After I died once, my thoughts changed a little." Dumbledore said, "I defeated Greenward, but then Voldemort appeared; I killed Voldemort, but new demons appeared--they were stronger than the other. Why? I suddenly realized that this was because the current situation in the magic world made wizards desperate, and there were always wizards who would try to stand up and save the magic world."

"Wizards of my level are people with firm beliefs. Firm beliefs will always lead us to conclusions that we think are correct." Dumbledore said. "The magic world is declining: the population of magical creatures is gradually dying, and the power of wizards is not as strong as before. We can only hide, but our number and territory are getting smaller and smaller. Five hundred years ago, England had more than one hundred wizard settlements. How many are there now of three magic towns of scale? One day, Muggles will find us that the wizard world will no longer be mysterious to them."

Silvermore didn't say anything, he knew Dumbledore was right.

"Many people don't understand the power of silence. In fact, everyone is very scared. Anyone with a discerning eye can see the threat of Muggle. So why do dark wizards who want to rule the world always find allies and accomplices? Because they bring a slight sound to silence." Dumbledore smiled bitterly, "What is the situation in our wizarding world now? The number of people is getting smaller and smaller, society is shrinking, and industry is shrinking. Many wizards cannot find jobs in the wizarding world and can only find their own place in the wizarding world. The birth rate of wizards is setting a new historical low every year, and the number of squibs is increasing year by year. We are chasing the trend of Muggle, and many wizards are secretly casting spells on Muggle items - because Muggle's creation is more interesting and useful than us, which makes Arthur Weasley busy every day, even though he himself is secretly transforming Muggle cars."

Dumbledore squeezed out an ugly smile, "I have to admit that some dark wizards or pure-blood defenders are saying that the wizard world is actually slowly sliding into the abyss. Why can Greenward sweep Europe? Why can Voldemort have few minions but make the entire wizard world tremble? Why is the demon now expanding its power to other continents? They do not all rely on violence. Most wizards actually choose them actively, because the wizards are like them in their hearts. They are also part of wizards, and everything is not negative - they are the microcosm of hysterical self-rescue in the wizard world." (To be continued.)
