Chapter 28 The Raid of the Dog

"Is there anything wrong with it, my dear?"

"You—you told me just now—the black demon is about to start again—that his servant is going to return to him—"

The thin woman seemed to be awakened as if she had just woken up, and she was completely panicked.

"Black Devil? That's the one who can't even mention his name? My dear child, this is not something to joke about - re-emerge, take it seriously..." She shook her head, as if she wanted to throw this bad idea out of her mind.

"But you said it just now! Professor Trelawney, you said the Dark Devil..."

Professor Trelawney interrupted Harry in a very tough tone. "I think you must have fallen asleep for a while, my dear. I will definitely not predict such a distant thing! Now that your exam is over, leave quickly, otherwise I may have to deduct some points for you."

Harry walked down the stairs, thinking to himself, could he have heard Professor Trelawney make a real prediction? Or would she do this to give the exam an impressive end?

Five minutes later, he rushed past the security dwarf and went outside the entrance to the Gryffindor Tower, and Professor Trelawney's words were still echoing in his ears. People strode past him in the opposite direction, talking and laughing all the way out of the house, towards the little freedom he had longed for. By the time he walked to the hole of the portrait and into the common room, there was almost no one there. However, in the corner, Ron sat.

"Ron! Professor Trelawney," Harry gasped, "tell me just now..."

But Ron was obviously not interested in listening to Harry's words. He handed Harry a piece of paper with a depressed look on his face and said listlessly: "Hagge just sent this, and Buckbeck lost the case."

Lost the case. The death penalty is executed when the sun sets. You can't help anything. Don't come. I don't want you to see the execution

——Hag

"Oh, this is so bad. How could this happen!"

"You have been busy against Silver some time ago, and you didn't have time to pay attention to the situation of Hagrid and Buckbeck. I helped Hagrid search a lot of information in the library, but I couldn't help it in the end." Although Ron's words did not mean to blame, the sad tone made Harry's heart tighten and his face felt burning.

"Sorry." Harry finally squeezed the word out of his throat.

"I should say this to Hagrid. Harry Buckbeck is leaving, he must be very sad. I think we should go with him and comfort him."

"I left the invisible cloak in the passage under the one-eyed witch statue, and wait for us to take it out and put it on to Hagrid's cabin."

The sun had already set behind the Forbidden Forest, and the afterglow was shining on the treetops. Harry and Ron squeezed under the invisible cloak and carefully left the castle and walked towards Hagrid's hut.

The sun was sinking very quickly, the sky was clear, with purple in the gray, but there was still a trace of red in the west. Ron suddenly stopped.

"Why Ron? We can't stop, the sun will soon set, and we will be too late if we delay the road for too long."

"It's Spots-It refuses-stay--"

"Oh my God, Ron, why are you still having spots at this time?" Harry said impatiently.

"Harry! Banban has been in a bad condition recently, I have to take it with me to take care of him at any time!" Ron replied bluntly.

"Then the matter must be prioritized. You can't delay it for this beast..."

Ron raised his head, and flames seemed to burn in his eyes: "Then what did you do earlier?!"

This pair of close friends who had been together for three years finally broke out in the most intense conflict at this time-

Ron bent down. He tried to keep Banban still in his pocket, but the mouse became violent, screaming wildly, twisting and kicking, trying to bite Ron's hand.

"Banban, it's me, you fool, it's Ron. Quiet, please calm down." Ron whispered.

"Ron! Get it done quickly, we're almost too late!"

"You have to give me time, who knows why Banban suddenly became so violent!"

"Be gentle, something is coming towards us."

But before Ron could react, and even had time to take a breath, he heard the sound of huge claws gently stepping on the ground, something was coming towards them from the darkness - a big dog with pale eyes and black fur.

Ron seemed to be grabbed by an invisible claw in his throat. "Oh no! It's no no! We're going to die!"

At this time, Banban took the opportunity to break free from Ron's hand and fled quickly like a desperate situation.

Harry reached for the wand, but it was too late - the dog jumped, and his front paws had already hit his chest. He rolled back quickly, and he felt his hot breath and saw an inch of teeth. But the dog's pounce was too strong and rolled over from him. Harry was dazzled and felt his ribs seem to be broken, and he tried to stand up. He could hear the dog spinning and barking in place, ready to attack again. Ron stood up. The dog rushed towards them again, and Ron pushed Harry aside, and the dog bit Ron's outstretched arm. Harry rushed over and grabbed a handful of dog hair, but the dog dragged Ron away effortlessly, as if Ron was a rag doll.

Then, something from somewhere hit Harry in the face, and it hit him very hard, and Harry fell again. Harry groped for the wand, and blinked and squeezed out the blood in his eyes. "The fluorescent light flashed!" he whispered.

The light from the wand made him see a thick trunk. They chased the Spots and had already chased into the shadow of the willow. The branches of the tree were shaking, as if in the strong wind, and the branches were swaying back and forth, preventing them from moving forward any further.

There, just next to the root of the tree, was the dog, which was dragging Ron back into a big hole at the root of the tree. Ron fought angrily, but his head and torso were no longer visible. "Ron!" Harry shouted, trying to follow in, but a big branch was killed and Harry was forced to retreat again.

Now he could only see Ron's legs, which were stuck in a tree root, trying to stop the dog from dragging him further to the ground. Then a terrible loud noise, like a gun, Ron's legs broke. In the blink of an eye, his feet were invisible.

"No! Ron!" Harry tried to get up, but the severe pain in his abdomen made him unable to speak loudly.

"Help me, no matter who it is, please help me!" Harry thought in despair.

A big ginger cat rushed out of the bushes next to it.

"Crook Mountain?" Harry thought in confusion. He vaguely remembered that he had repeatedly mocked the ugly big cat that Silver bought for Hermione.

Crook Mountain sneaked towards Harry, lying on the ground, her yellow eyes glowing strangely in the darkness. It seemed to be observing something.

Suddenly, Mount Crucker seemed to have made some decision. It rushed forward. It wandered between the branches, like a snake, and then it laid its front paws on a knot on the trunk.
