Chapter 15 Illusions
Chapter 15: Hallucination ()
After dinner, Jill stood in front of the kitchen door holding his shoulders and watched Nicole clean up the dishes. The sunshine in Alaska is very short, and May is only more than nine hours, so now the candles have been lit. She sighed and said, "I suddenly envy the Chinese women."
"What?" Without an automatic dishwasher, Nicole had to wash the dishes vigorously, and couldn't help feeling a little dissatisfied with Jill's willingness to stand aside and talk to her.
Jill didn't care about Nicole's tone, and said Lei Ran: "What a capable man are they. They can not only cook, but also transform rooms, but also defeat zombies."
Nicole stopped the work and turned to look at her companion: "You are talking about it for more than two months, but the situation just now was so scary. The zombie and her were separated by a glass window.
"Where?" Nicole looked around carefully. The doors and windows of this house were made of wooden structures, which could not stop the attacks of zombies.
Jill was also moving the muzzle carefully and said uncertainly: "I'm looking for it too."
Nicole was stunned, lowered her gun and looked at Jill helplessly: "Don't scare people, okay? This is not funny."
At this time, Ye Zhiqiu, who had been busy renovating the bathroom, rushed in like a gust of wind, held his saber in his right hand and asked, "What's wrong?"
Nicole turned his head and motioned him to ask Jill, turning off the bullet insurance himself and going back to wash the dishes.
Jill searched out the window again unwillingly, frowned and said, "I saw a zombie."
"Did you see a zombie in the yard?" Ye Zhiqiu asked.
"No, I saw a zombie crawling on the window and looking at me." Jill corrected him.
Ye Zhiqiu rolled his eyes and immediately began to stuff the knife back into the knife cover on his legs: "Zombies are not seventeen-year-old boys from your neighbor's house. They don't do such advanced actions as voyeurism."
Jill also felt that he was right. The zombies she had in her impression came and went like the wind, and she was determined and sneaky, so she couldn't help but feel it. But she felt that she had clearly seen a zombie, so how could she see it wrong?
At this time, Carlos, who was staying in the bathroom to be reeled, slowly leaning in. He held a m9 saber commonly used by the US Army in one hand. Ethan followed him two steps away, obviously he had practiced it normally. Carlos' gun had no bullets, and there were no nine-mm pistol bullets here, so he had to turn it into a collectible. He didn't have the courage to see Ye Zhiqiu's bayonet red, so he just stayed in the bathroom to be reeled. Later, when he heard nothing, he brought Ethan over to see what happened. The bathroom was not far from the kitchen. He happened to hear the conversation between Jill and Ye Zhiqiu, and stood by the door here and looked at it and said, "The moonlight is not strong today, and the house is brighter than outside. Under the reflection of the glass, you can't see the situation outside."
"If it's close enough to the glass," Jill retorted.
Carlos made an unbearable expression to Ye Zhiqiu and took Ethan back to the bathroom.
Ye Zhiqiu watched them walk out of the kitchen and patted Jill's arm holding a gun: "The bathroom will be arranged soon. You don't have to be on the night tonight, so have a good sleep."
Jill glared at him: "That's not an illusion."
"At least it did not attack us." Ye Zhiqiu said obediently: "Don't relax your guard and act with Nicole." After that, he turned around and left.
Nicole had washed the plates and was sorting out the tableware in different categories. She looked back at Jill: "I like his considerate appearance the most."
"Oh." Jill slowly put away his gun and looked at Nicole: "He doesn't believe me either!"
Nicole shook her head: "It's a bit difficult, but he's always very tactful."
Jill sighed, watching Nicole stuff the last plate onto the shelf and said, "Let's go. Even if I read it wrong, it doesn't mean there are no more zombies in this town."
The two walked out of the kitchen one by one, and as the candlelight left, the kitchen fell into darkness.
Ye Zhiqiu did not plan to live in the bathroom, so he simply changed it, separated the bathroom in the bathroom, and then made a simple double-layer board support. Carlos and his son went to bed, Jill and Nicole slept on the upper bunk. Ye Zhiqiu and Carlos agreed that they were on the night and started to prepare for bed.
Although it was a very simple bed pieced together, Ye Zhiqiu dragged a mattress from the bedroom upstairs. Several people had not received such treatment for a long time, and they actually enjoyed the feeling of sleeping on a mattress.
Jill lay down for a while, feeling the soft mattress under him, and asked, "Carlos, what did you do before? His marksmanship is very good."
Carlos didn't fall asleep either. He was in a mentally tense environment some time ago. Not only did he need to hide from zombies, but he also had to play hide-and-seek with Ashford and take care of the children. It was not an easy job. Now he suddenly relaxed and couldn't sleep anymore. He just happened to be so happy that someone chatted and replied: "I used to serve in the US Army and stayed in Iraq for two years. After retirement, I didn't work for a while, so I returned to Iraq to work as a mercenary for two years and made some money." He turned his head and looked at Ethan beside him, and found that the little guy was asleep. He couldn't help but smile: "Later, his mother got sick, and I came back."
"Why did you come to Alaska?" Jill asked.
"Last year his mother passed away, and I wanted to bring him here for vacation," Carlos said, "Who knew he had encountered this damn zombie."
Jill hunched and didn't say anything. Carlos waited for a while, and saw that there was no sound, and said, "What did you do in the past? It's rare for women as brave as you."
Jill hesitated for a moment and said, "I am a senior agent of the Los Angeles Police Department. I went to Anchorage to take a suspect back." She sighed and cursed in a low voice: "This is a damn mission."
"Then how is your suspect?" Carlos asked.
"I don't know." Jill replied: "I lost him at the Anchorage airport, maybe I died, maybe I became a zombie... Maybe I'm alive under Ashford's men." She smiled: "Take the hand I gave him."
"What a wonderful journey." Carlos sighed and asked, "Where are you, what did you do in the past?"
