Chapter 476: Dilithium Crystal

The handling of nuclear reactors is far more troublesome than Chen Xin thought.

The nano armor successfully entered the interior of two land cruisers and also checked the situation of the nuclear reactors. These two small nuclear reactors were models used on nuclear submarines in the Soviet era. Their quality is not bad. Even after being left for so many years, they only had a slight leak.

However, even if the nuclear reactor is only slightly leaked, it is a very serious accident. Especially when the leakage may have lasted for a long time, causing the entire base to be filled with radiation, it will become more and more difficult to deal with, but it will become more and more difficult to deal with.

The reactor shell has been eroded by radiation, causing the entire reactor to be deformed now. It is no longer possible to remove it using the original normal installation method.

In addition, when the Soviets designed land cruisers, they did not think about changing the reactor every once in a while. Now, if they want to remove the reactor, they have to dig a big hole in the entire land cruiser.

Just like changing a reactor to a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, it is necessary to cut the entire deck, and changing a reactor to a land cruiser must also cut its shell.

After all, under normal circumstances, it is done just by replacing the nuclear fuel. After a reactor is loaded, it can even be used until the equipment is scrapped. It doesn't have to be replaced for decades. Who would think about dismantling the reactor?

But now, this problem has become something that Chen Xin has to face, how can he dismantle this reactor, which has been eroded through the shell, from the thick armor of the land cruiser.

"We can cut from under the chassis. The bottom of this land cruiser is) (the structure is mounted on four tracked chassis, so the bottom space is enough." A technician who accompanied the team pointed to the structural section of the land cruiser on the drawing and said: "We can cut a hole from this place, and then make a cement sarcophagus here. After removing the core of the reactor, put it directly into the sarcophagus from the cut opening, and then complete the sealing of the coffin as fast as possible!"

Chen Xin looked at the drawings and used nanomolecules to simulate the structure of the land cruiser. After demonstrating it, he nodded and said, "This solution is indeed possible, and it can minimize the harm and impact. I think it is OK."

Because I found all the design drawings of the land cruiser, I also had a comprehensive understanding of the big guy Chen Xin and others in front of me.

According to the Soviet design, if you want to disassemble the reactor installed inside the land cruiser, there are three channels to choose from.

The first thing is to do is to cut a hole from the bottom of the land cruiser and disassemble the core of the reactor.

In addition, you can also open a door at the back of this big guy, which is designed to lift shells and escape personnel. After opening, the distance from the reactor is very close and can also be used as a channel for transporting the reactor.

However, compared to cutting from the bottom, using this channel requires a greater workload. Not only does it require a crane, but some structures inside the land cruiser must be cut open to the reactor. The construction volume needs to be carried out.

As for the other passage, it is not that troublesome and does not require cutting. It is also the method used by the Soviets when installing the reactor. As long as the crane is used to lift the turret of the land cruiser on the roof, the reactor can be dismantled.

This method is indeed simple, but the premise is that there is a large gantry crane that can lift a double-equipped 305mm turret.

Although this military base has complete various facilities, there is still no such large gantry crane. All it can be used is a small crane for lifting shells.

So after some discussion, I chose to cut from the bottom to open the channel leading from the outside to the reactor.

Since the plan has been confirmed, no one has wasted time. Several soldiers began to prepare for the sarcophagus to be used to seal the pile, while Chen Xin controlled the nano armor to enter the land cruiser again and began to prepare to cut the inside of it, and also prepared to dismantle the reactor.

However, it was cold and it was not easy to prepare the sarcophagus to be sealed, so I couldn't hurry up and could only take it slowly and do some preparations first.

While controlling the nano armor, while cutting the interior of one of the land cruisers and preparing the passage for taking out the reactor, Chen Xin finally entered the interior of the prototype and saw the important target of his journey, the energy crystal.

To be honest, Chen Xin was looking forward to this thing before coming. In his opinion, this should be a high-energy object similar to the Rubik's Cube, or something that looks very cool or has science fiction at first glance.

But when he finally saw this energy crystal, Chen Xin's expression on his face could be summarized into two words: That's it?

The energy crystals embedded in this prototype by the Soviets as energy source looked dull and very damaged, just like a burnt crystal stone remaining at the explosion site.

If it weren't for the faint orange light inside it, Chen Xin really thought that the original energy crystal had been dropped.

With a last bit of curiosity, Chen Xin carefully removed the thing from the shelf that fixed it, then put it in the container it brought, took out the prototype, and took it outside to analyze it with the instrument.

In fact, there is a more efficient way, which is to use the system upgrade interface to take a look. So far, Chen Xin has not found anything that has not been identified in the system upgrade interface.

And after he took out the energy crystal out of the prototype, he did do so.

"Broken dilithium crystal crystals"

"Upgrade plan 1: Repair the crystal structure, upgrade the required survival point: 120,000"

"Upgrade plan 2: Fill the internal energy of the crystal, upgrade the required survival point: 1100"

Chen Xin looked at the so-called dilithium crystal in his hand in surprise, which was less than the size of a fist. He did not expect that such an inconspicuous piece of junk would require so many survival points to be upgraded.

This was the first time he saw such a small thing that required a six-digit survival point, which was far beyond Chen Xin's expectations.

And even with the help of the system, Chen Xin still didn't understand what this is and what its function is.

However, judging from the upgrade plan shown by the system, this dilithium crystal seems to be broken, and it does not look like the so-called energy crystal, because the living points required to fill the internal energy are too few, which is too far behind the complete repair of the crystal.
