25. Four Seasons Lanterns

Su Xi didn't know where Wei Shi came from. Her answer was all over her mouth, but Wei Shi snatched it away. Su Xi was blocked in her throat with a breath, her face turned blue and white, and she wanted to blame Wei Shi, but she felt that she had done nothing wrong and her name was not written on the lantern.

Su Xi looked at the four-season lantern in Wei Xu's hand with eyes. Perhaps because she didn't get it, she wanted it very much. She looked up at Wei Xu and asked tactfully: "Isn't my cousin Tingzhou on the boat? When did you get down? Do you also like lanterns?"

Wei Xun walked forward with a lantern, and slowly said, "Um."

Hmm?

What does it mean?

Su Xi followed. Wei Xu was tall and his legs were long, so his steps were naturally big. Although Su Xi grew a lot, it was still very difficult to catch up. While staring at the swaying lanterns in Wei Xu's hand, she said in a good tone: "If Cousin Tingzhou likes lanterns, I will help you win something else. Can you give me this lantern?"

Wei Xu paused, turned his head to look at the little girl who followed her side. Seeing that she looked serious and her eyes were shiny, it didn't seem like a joke. Wei Xu suddenly became interested, his eyebrows slightly raised, and he said, "Do you want to help me win the lantern?"

Su Xi nodded, but she had the conditions, "I will help Tingzhou cousin win ten lanterns, and change the one in your hand." After that, he looked at Wei Shi, worried that he would not agree, so he asked uncertainly: "Can you do it?"

Wei Qing bent her lips and said, "Okay."

Su Xi's little face suddenly burst out with brilliance, and the shadows of two street lanterns reflected in her dark eyes, as bright as the night sky covered with stars. She was afraid that Wei Shi would regret it, so she looked around, looked at the lanterns on the opposite street, walked to the opposite side, and began to guess riddles.

The riddle of this vendor is - the crescent moon hangs on the branches in the middle of the night, and writes a word.

Su Xi's eyes rolled around and guessed the answer: "The answer is Ji."

Several men who were thinking hard next to her looked at her, and their eyes fell on Su Xi's little face and were stunned. The stall owner took off the hydrangea lantern and handed it to Su Xi, praising: "The girl is so smart."

Su Xi took the lantern with a smile. In fact, this riddle is not difficult. Compared to the winding "The endless falling trees are rustling down", this is much simpler. When the night is midnight, the crescent moon is the mysterious moon, the branches are "woods", and a mysterious moon hangs on the top. Isn't it the "season"?

Su Xi walked back to Wei Shi with a lantern, held the hydrangea lantern in front of him, and smiled on her face: "First." Her excited little look was quite like taking credit.

Wei Qing took the lantern from her hand and took a look. There were bells and collars wrapped around the hydrangea lantern. After walking, he made a "ding-bell-ding-bell" sound. Most girls like this kind of lamp, which is usually used by men to please women. Wei Qing smiled unclearly on her lips. Before she could speak, she saw that Su Xi had already walked towards the next vendor.

This time the riddles are more interesting than before. Su Xi stared at the riddle bars with no words under the lantern and wrote nothing. How can someone guess?

Most of the people next to them thought so, scratching their ears and heads, and they couldn't figure it out.

But Su Xi bent her eyes and asked the stall owner: "The answer is Bai Zhi, right?"

The stall owner nodded repeatedly: "That's right."

Baizhi is white paper, so it is not difficult, it just tests whether people's thinking is active. So Su Xi got another vivid rabbit lamp with four wheels underneath. She said to Wei Xu: "Cousin Tingzhou can pull it away. Look, its ears can still move." The rabbit's ears are made of soft cloth and are covered with a layer of gray fluffy hair, which looks like it is real.

But no matter how real it looks, it is a thing for children to play with. Wei Xu wouldn't dislike her, so why don't you change her with her?

Su Xi looked at Wei Qing and saw that he was not displeased, so she secretly breathed a sigh of relief. She handed the lamp to Wei Qing and walked forward and said, "There are eight more, and Cousin Tingzhou wants to keep his word."

Wei Qing looked to the other side of the street, his eyes were cold, then he withdrew his gaze, looked at Su Xi's back and smiled, "Natural."

Su Xi won quite smoothly next time. He walked down the Lantern Street, and there were almost no riddles that could not help her. If there were any, she would jump over and go directly to the next stall. In less than half an hour, she won ten full pieces. Naturally, she couldn't hold on to so many lanterns. He handed them over to the two servants behind him, and he only brought up one of the four-season lanterns that Su Xi had been thinking about.

Su Xi held the last pagoda lantern in her hand and made the intention of exchanging with the Wei Shi. Her big eyes blinked and still couldn't hide the smile in her eyes. I guess the process of guessing riddles had a lot of fun. She said, "Cousin Tingzhou."

Wei Qing did not lie to her and handed the Four Seasons Lantern into her hands. His expression was not as relaxed as it was at the beginning, and he said, "Go back."

Su Xi got the lantern, and a slight smile appeared on her lips. She followed Wei Xu back with a "hmm".

Wei was in front of him, and even though he took care of Su Xi, he was still a little different. Su Xi followed behind and looked down at the light. Su Xi suddenly grabbed his wrist tightly. The other party was so sharp that he had a yellow teeth and grinned, "Little girl..."

Su Xi exclaimed and stepped back, but the man was holding it tightly and she couldn't get it away.

The guard in front turned around and his eyes sank. There was no need to speak. The two servants behind him temporarily put down the lanterns in their hands, walked through the crowd to grab the crook's wrist, swung them away, and kicked the person to the wall with one kick.

Wei Qing blocked Su Xi, his eyes fell faintly on the man's hand. The attendant understood and twisted the kidnapped's hand with a "kick".

I heard a howl of pain in the crowd, followed by a series of begging for mercy.

The kidnapped had long been interested in Su Xi and saw that she was wearing wealth and was not an ordinary family. She knew that she was protected by someone, but her face was so beautiful that she was very eye-catching when walking in the crowd. If she sold it, she didn't know how much money she could make. She couldn't resist the temptation and specially selected a place with the most crowded people to take action.

Tingyan, Tinghe was squeezed by the crowd. Although he saw the situation here, he was unable to move forward. He then tried his best to squeeze in with him. Tinghe held Su Xi's hand and said panic: "Girl, are you okay..."

If they followed each other tighter, how could those lusty people get close to Su Xi?

Su Xi's wrist hurt a little, and she looked down at the light, and it turned red.

Tinghe also saw it and blamed himself: "It's all my fault that I didn't protect the girl..."

Listening to Yan lowering her head there, I must have realized that she was wrong.

Su Xi rubbed her wrists, shook her head and said, "Let's talk about it when you go back."

Wei Qing ordered Li Hong to send the kidnapped to the government office. Seeing Su Xi staring at her feet, she thought she was frightened, and comforted her: "It's okay."

Su Xi looked up, her eyes dimmed, and she pointed to the lantern in the corner and said regretfully: "I was hit just now and the lantern was broken."

The four-season lantern was lying on the ground, and the candle inside fell out when it landed, and it was burning half of it. Wei Qing remembered the little girl's appearance of guessing riddles for this lantern, and finally said, "Let's go. If you like it, the ten lanterns just now belong to you."

Su Xi said no, and followed behind the Weifang. All she wanted was the lantern with the four seasons, and nothing else was what she wanted.

When he returned to the shore of Xiangshui Lake, the music and singing were still melodious on the lake surface, and the night was dim. Su Xi didn't want to go back to the Princess's Mansion, but just wanted to go back to the house's house, thanked Wei Shi, and asked Tingyan to find the boat in Su's Mansion and said goodbye to leave.

As soon as I boarded the bow of the boat, someone said behind me: "Tingzhou, why are you holding so many lanterns? Where did you come from? You shouldn't have won the riddles, right?"

Su Xi looked back and looked at Wei Feng standing under the willow tree from a distance. Because the location was hidden, she couldn't see his face clearly, nor could she see who was talking to him. Su Xi remembered that when she was guessing the riddle just now, her pink lips were slightly bent. Well, at least she was quite happy at that time.

The man said again: "This pagoda light is unique, it has two more layers than the one on the market. Can you give it to me?"

The pleasure boat gradually became farther away, and Su Xi didn't hear anything Wei Shi answered. She got into the cabin and was too tired to walk today. She fell softly on the warm-collapse, leaning against the big welcoming pillow, thinking of her lantern that had only been lifted for less than a quarter of an hour, and she lamented again.

On the lakeside, Su Xu said "Hao" and said, "Tingzhou?"

Wei Qing glanced at Su Xu, curled the corners of his lips, and said in a low voice: "No gift."

*

Su Xi originally wanted to take a break and waited for her second brother to come back, but unexpectedly she fell asleep as soon as she closed her eyes.

Su Zhi went to the pleasure boat in the Governor's Mansion. The banquet had already ended now. Su Xu was drunk and sobered up to the shore. Only Su Zhi was still sober and ordered his servants to send the drunken people back to their respective pleasure boats. He rubbed his eyebrows and looked at Li Yan, whose eyes were closed on the floor and his motionless.

The pleasure boat in the Luyang Marquis Mansion was nearby. When Li Yan came, he did not bring his servants. Su Zhi had to arrange two more people, raise him up, and send him back in person.

When Su Zhi sent Li Yan back to the pleasure boat, Li Anyi happened to come back from the master Wanping. When he saw Su Zhi, he was stunned and stared at him for a while, forgot to speak. The two servants stood Li Yan and didn't know how to settle down. Su Zhi looked at her and said, "Miss Li."

Li Anyi finally came to his senses and ordered someone: "Hurry, carry my brother inside." It was not until Li Yan was carried into the cabin that she dared to look at Su Zhi again. Fortunately, the sky was dark and the light was dim, and the red clouds on her face could not be seen, "Thank you, Mr. Su, for sending my brother back..."

Seeing that it was getting late, Su Zhi didn't expect Su Xi to wait for a long time, so he said, "It's just a matter of raising hands, Miss Li doesn't have to be polite." He bowed and walked towards the bow of the boat.

Li Anyi wanted to say something, and she tucked her lips several times, but she didn't come up with a suitable topic. She watched Su Zhi walk away, board another pleasure boat, and leave far away. She felt a little annoyed in her heart, and she retracted her gaze until she could no longer see Su Zhi's figure and turned to walk towards the cabin.

On this side, Su Zhi returned to the pleasure boat in Su's mansion and saw Su Xi lying on the warm-collapsed sleeping heavily, with her little face next to the pillow, and her thick eyelashes covered her porcelain white skin, like a delicate little fan. He didn't ask the maid to wake Su Xi up, picked her up, and sat on the carriage back to the general's mansion, and then returned home.
