4- Start to build groups

In the restaurant, a rare family of three were having a meal together. Two golden retrievers were lying at Wayne's feet. They had eaten canned dogs and lay down. This was when Wayne would occasionally give them one or two pieces of beef.

He talked with his mother about interesting things at school and tasted the beef stewed with potatoes made by his mother. Over the years, he has become accustomed to American food, but he still thinks of Chinese food occasionally.

After dinner, the family of three and two dogs were nestled on the sofa and watched TV. He took out the file bag and handed it to his mother.

"Mom, look at this. This is the first feature film I have prepared for myself. I want to use it as a graduation work. Dad has promised to contact an accountant tomorrow and will invest for me to shoot this film."

When his mother took the file bag, Old Greenberg consciously turned the TV down. About half an hour later, he and Old Greenberg sat cross-legged on the floor, arguing about the Green Bay Packers and the England Patriots quarterback, his mother put down the script.

"Wayne, in fact, mom doesn't like this story, but the project is very feasible. It's very suitable for your first movie. I watched you have to budget for about $1.2 million, but you have to calculate whether there will be accidents or delays in shooting. For a novice, it will definitely be overspending if there is an accident.

There are few main actors and there is not high demand for actors. My suggestion is to find a blond beauty in the heroine and be absolutely beautiful. This will help improve the highlights of the film. Never look down on the vase. Wayne, promise mom, don’t put too much pressure on yourself!”

When Wayne listened to his mother's words, he knew that his mother had been a first-line producer. Although she had been a little older, her vision and experience were still there. Moreover, her mother was not like her father. She still insisted on writing occasionally and did not completely leave this circle.

"Mom, I will succeed. Many people in Hollywood are waiting for an opportunity, and I will never waste it. I don't want to wander around various small crews after graduation, and only after a few years or even more than ten years can I direct the camera, and then be a filming puppet that doesn't even have the rights to post-production. This is my only chance to prove myself."

He looked at his mother seriously, and these words were also what he said to himself, and he had no time to waste them. In Hollywood, where producers are central, he has seen many directors in this circle, most of whom are just puppets of filming, and basically does not involve post-production.

Only those directors who have always proved themselves and have been successful have the opportunity to put forward their opinions in post-production. Wayne definitely does not want to be a director who does not even have the right to edit the film he has shot and does not have the right to recommend editing. This is not his pursuit.

"Of course, Hani, mom believes in you, you will definitely be mom's pride."

The mother stroked her son's serious face.

Although he knew that his mother was comforting him, he still felt very moved. His father was willing to pay for his practice, and his mother always encouraged him to learn more knowledge, making Wayne feel that he was really lucky to be born in such a family.

"Okay, boy, if you're willing to give up on supporting Patriots and support Packers with me, I might consider giving you a little more investment."

My father blinked at him and pointed at the TV again.

"Oh, dad, don't even think about it. Patriots will win the Super Bowl, watch it."

Wayne waved his fist at Old Greenberg, took the script and went upstairs to his room.

He had to start drawing storyboards as soon as possible and had to consider a lot of things. Just as his father said, he only had this opportunity, and Old Greenberg would only pay for him this time.

If he messes up and doesn't get this expensive Hollywood ticket, what is waiting for him is to rely on his father or mother's relationship to go to TV or advertising crew, start from an assistant director or lower position to accumulate experience and wait for opportunities.

The next morning, he was woken up by the golden retriever. He hadn't returned home for more than a month, and he slept so well. His tense nerves suddenly relaxed when he returned home. He overslept and broke the biological clock he had developed at school.

"Hey, two little bastards, you're too big after getting off the bed."

Wayne photographed two dogs and pushed them out of bed. It was already past eight o'clock, and the sun shone on the bed through the balcony, making Wayne lazy, making him not want to get up.

He went to the bathroom to wash his face and woke up. He took two carrots and went downstairs to the horse ring behind the villa. He skillfully fed the carrots to a black Quat horse, and then began to clean the horse ring and bristle the horse.

This was his fifteenth birthday gift. When Old Greenberg bought it, he was just a foal. Wayne had to clean the horse rings and bristles for him every morning whenever he was at home. If the weather was good, he would ride it for a lap.

Just like those two golden retrievers, Old Greenberg's standard is that if you want me, I will give it to you, but if you need to take care of them yourself, no one will help you.

You should treat them as partners and friends. If you cannot do it, you will be punished. Generally, punishment is to help the cowboy do physical work. This is the education that old Greenberg gave him since he was a child, and men should be responsible for their own choices.

I have to say that there are still a big difference between American and Chinese education in this regard. I can only say that each has its own strengths. For example, Wayne’s biggest feeling is that the content of junior high schools across the Pacific is American high schools, but the things learned in the United States elementary schools are only taught in colleges across the Pacific.

After riding around the horse, Wayne returned to the second floor in sweat and took a shower, changed his clothes before going downstairs to eat the breakfast made by his mother.

"Mom, where is Dad? I remember he never gets up early to help the cowboys."

My mother held the milk and poured him a cup of milk while answering:

"Do you still want to have an egg? He's going to the farm entrance, Howard is coming soon, your dad will pick him up."

As soon as my mother said that Wayne understood that Howard was an accountant of Greenberg's family, and she mainly helped their family with tax filing and investments. It seemed that her funds would be in place soon.

As soon as he finished breakfast, the door was pushed open. He and his mother came to the living room, and his father happened to be with a middle-aged white man in.

"Oh, Anna, you're still so beautiful. How are you doing in school, little Wayne? I heard you're going to graduate soon, and time passes so quickly."

The middle-aged white man greeted him in a familiar way and sat on the sofa.

"Uncle Howard, want coffee? Yes, this is my last year in college."

Wayne poured him a cup of coffee and listened to his father talking to him.

"Well, Ruben, I've brought the documents you want, just sign it. But I want to remind you that this is the income from the trust you established for Wayne. Is it a bit early to take out the money now? The prospects for Internet stocks are good now."

My father signed the document and looked up and said to Howard:

"This kid is about to graduate, and I promised to invest in his first feature film."

"Well, the money has been deposited into your account, and you can write a check for him at any time."

Without hesitation, my father took out a check book and wrote a check for Wayne of 1.2 million. Although the family has not been short of money since childhood, more than one million yuan is a huge sum of money no matter what era it is. I believe it is not a small sum of money for his own family.

"Wayne, this is a father-son agreement we have since childhood. To be honest, I didn't expect you to stick to it from what age you have until now. This is also the last amount of money you can get from this family. I remind you again that if you mess up, you can only go to your own internship and earn your living expenses."

He held the check given to him by his father, $1.2 million, which is a huge sum of money for Wayne now. If he made money by himself, he would probably not be able to make this amount for a long time.

"I know, Dad. I understand what you mean. Although I know you don't want to believe it, I will do it without losing money and make it back."

After saying that, he solemnly put the check in his pocket and then returned to his room upstairs. Sitting in his mind, Wayne picked up the phone in the room and called his agent Jimmy.

"Hi Jimmy, this is Wayne. You can start recruiting. I need you to help me find some reliable people. Yes, I will go back to Los Angeles tomorrow, and I will meet them when the time comes."

After hanging up the phone, Wayne waved his fist and finally started. He took out the check and looked carefully. In fact, Wayne knew that his father had been depositing trust funds for him for a long time. However, unless Wayne reaches his forties and accomplishes nothing, he can slowly make profits.

Although Old Greenberg sold the film company's stocks and distributed a lot of money, he was squeezed out and was disheartened. But his family bought a farm and made a trust fund for him, so it was really not easy to give him more than one million this time.

The next day, amid his farewell to his mother, he drove out of the farm and headed straight for Los Angeles along Route 101.

When I returned to the apartment, I cleaned up casually, and came to the agreed Jasmine Cafe. When I entered the door, Jimmy was already waiting for him with some information.

"According to your requirements, these people are the ones I can find. They have some work experience, but have not participated in successful productions yet, and their abilities are pretty good."

"Wait a minute, I'll take a look." Wayne picked up the information.

Steve Wilson, lighting artist, Lily Angie, makeup artist, Rose Will, prop artist, Mia Clegg, set artist.

Almost all have experience in shooting, but the price is not high.

"Okay, let's just them for the time being. Do you have any suitable actor recommendations? The heroine's classmates and best friend are better off as an American girl, oh, and she also needs a male actor, and the most important thing is to be cheap."

Jimmy was looking at the script and heard him look up and ask him:

"Where is the heroine? Don't I need to find one for you? Caa has such novice actors."

"No, I have someone to choose the heroine. Prepare it, let's do it today."

That's right, someone chose the heroine Wayne, his neighbor who came to Hollywood to pursue his dreams. He had watched the other party's movies in his previous life, which completely met his requirements.

After many plans, he felt that he was unable to deal with them. He was just alone. Wayne first went to Delaware to register a studio, Greenberg Studio, with his lawyer Ryan.

There is no way, his movies are destined to be independent small productions, and it is better to have a studio to sign a contract with the crew. A legal company is much more credible than a college student.

According to Delaware regulations, as long as you have a nominal office in Delaware, you can even share a clerk with other companies, but this also cost him five thousand dollars.

The best place to register a company in Delaware is that there are tax benefits. Basically, Hollywood companies are registered here, including giants such as Disney and Paramount. Delaware also has a professional business balance court. Even if there are disputes, it is very convenient to deal with it.

I met with the staff introduced by Jimmy and signed the contract. Before I could find out, Wayne went to school again and asked Professor Anderson to help introduce a senior, who had good grades after graduation but had not found a job.
