The Eighth Thought of Shanhaijing: Heaven's Executioner(1/4)

If a book friend strongly asked to write about Xing Tian, don’t blame me for breaking your dreams.

In fact, according to my plan, it is not the turn to write about Xing Tian, because I haven’t had time to write about Huangdi and Jiutian Xuannv.

I plan to write these two first, and then write Yinglong and Zhulong, so that I can explain Xing Tian.

Then it outlines the entire legendary epic of Xuanyuan's achievement as emperor.

However, the new book has been published, and it will probably take a long time for Shanhai Jing to be updated. Let’s satisfy the book friends’ wishes to read Xing Tian.

There is actually nothing much to say about Xing Tian. His story is not as important as the Nine Heavens Xuannv.

First of all, one thing to remember is that the name Xing Tian should have only been found after his death.

Judging from the pictographic images of oracle bone inscriptions and bronze inscriptions, the character "Zheng" is a execution platform with a head sandwiched, plus a big knife next to it. Public execution means punishment.

Needless to say, adding a horizontal line to a person's head means that the one above the person's head is heaven.

Sometimes, it also refers to the head, because the head is as important as the sky to the human body. The head is also located in the "sky-like" part of the human body.

Therefore, Xing Tian is probably the oldest and most stylish expression of the word beheading.

Being used as a human name can be derived from the meaning of "those who are separated by human heads" or "punished by heaven", that is, "those who are beheaded by heaven".

If we were to say "that Xing Tian" in ancient times, it might actually refer to the "first person who was publicly beheaded."

Xing Tian, having such an honor may not be the reason for the ‘first’, or it may be because of his noble status or it may be unforgettable.

Then, even if his name was forgotten, everyone used the name "Xing Tian" to call him.

What is this like?

Do you know Yi Ya? The pre-Qin famous chef and the cook Ding are also a famous chef, and they are the best at slaughtering cattle.

Therefore, when later generations respectfully called cooking, they said the "Yiya Way".

When talking about knife skills, it is called "the art of slaughtering Ding".

Xing Tian is also in a similar situation. He is definitely not called Xing Tian, but because the public beheading was too famous and impressive, after his death, the ancients spread his deeds and called him Xing Tian.

The one used is to openly behead the punishment. A particularly nice saying goes to the name of his real name.

As for what Xing Tian’s real name is, it is no longer possible.

He also said that he was under Chi You, and some said that he was under Yan Emperor, which was unfounded. In fact, Xing Tian only had this record left, and other pre-Qin documents did not mention this person at all.

So why can’t Xing Tian be forgotten? He is just a loser, a guy who has not even had a name to beheaded.

I think you all know the reason. Xing Tianwu is always strong.

He was famous only after he died.

Only when you die will it shock the world.

Therefore, no one remembered his name when he was alive and disappeared into the long river of history. But his shock when he died was forever engraved in the hearts of people at that time, and eventually became famous throughout the ages, leaving behind the legend of Xingtian.

So what is the earliest source of this legend?

There is no doubt that Shanhai Jing: "Xing Tian and the emperor competed for the gods here. The emperor cut off his head and buried him in the mountain of Changyang. He used his breast as his eyes, his navel as his mouth, and his kids and kins to dance."

With just a few strokes from the ancients, a sense of unyielding will appear on the paper.

This is also the only record of Xing Tian.

I still believe in this record because it continues the cold writing style of Shanhai Jing.

There is no praise or description of Xing Tian’s principle for such performance.

Why was Xing Tian still dancing with his head off? Is he still strong and his tenacious will support him? No writing, no mention, no hint.

That's right! Who knows what he is thinking?

In comparison, Kuafu mentioned "Kafu is not overestimating his abilities"... which made me feel unobjective, and it was obviously processed by later generations.

Most of the records of Shanhai Jing are cold and straightforward words, a very honest style of writing.

Xing Tian’s paragraph is more in line with it.

The content is very straightforward, I think I can understand it without translation.

The only thing that needs to be explained is the meaning of some specific texts.

Different eras, words have different national conditions.

There are countless explanations for this sentence just to fight for the gods with the emperor.

Needless to say, I have talked about so many emperors before, and the emperor is the common ruler of the world.

So what about God?

Many experts from mainstream academic circles believe that when interpreting the Shanhai Sutra, the emperor is a god, and the special name of the Chinese people for the gods.

This is obviously wrong, I don't agree with it anyway.

When I interpreted it before, the Shanhai Jing is a strictly classified historical geography book.

He is the earliest work that I think humans use taxonomy!

It is a man, a god, a mountain, a water, a beast, a bird... The author has classified it one by one. No matter whether it is right or not, he at least classified it according to his understanding.

Recording with great calmness is like an academic report. Just look at the Wuzang Mountain Sutra, one mountain is connected to another. What is there in each mountain is clear and the format is rigorous!

This is a powerful tool for me to interpret the Shanhai Sutra, so I know that Jingwei is a bird, neither a god nor a human.

Respect this formatting, this classification principle, and this sense of ritual from ancient people are the cornerstone of my interpretation of the Shanhai Classic.

I once said that the gods in the Mountains and Seas Sutra may not be the meaning we have now. They should at least be retro, and they cannot be exactly the same as the meaning we have now.

I will explain it later.

Now it can be explained.

The Mountains and Seas are filled with a large number of categories such as "gods" and "gods".

For example: "There is a god, the human face is snake's body is red, the eyes are straight, the eyes are straight, the tranquility is dark, the eyes are bright, and the eyes are bright, and neither food nor sleep, and the wind and rain are visiting. It is the Candle Nine Yin, and it is the Candle Dragon."

This is a typical existence classified as God.

The old rules explain God, first trace its ancient meaning.

And the most ancient meaning is that we have to look at oracle bone inscriptions.

The bronze inscriptions are written in the Western Zhou Dynasty, and the oracle bone inscriptions are written in the Shang Dynasty. Because our country is a hieroglyphic system, it is inherited from the same line and can understand the meaning from the pictograms.

So how do you write the god of oracle bone script? You may not believe it when you say it, that word is "electricity".

You may want to say, aren’t you talking about the word “God”? How do you get the electricity?

But that's right, these two are the same word in the oracle bone inscriptions!

Pictographed, it is a flash of lightning!

‘?’ It probably looks like this, I really can’t hit a reverse S.

In short, it is the word "electronic" and it is indeed used as the meaning of "electronic".

But why do you say that it is also a word "Divine"? It is because some oracle bone passages are indeed used as a word "Divine".

Many additional meanings of oracle bone script are deciphered by context.

The Shang people of the Yin Dynasty were superstitious tribes, and they used the word "God" in large quantities. So scholars found out in context that the word "God" should be written with "Electricity"?

From this we can see that in oracle bone script, another meaning of the word "drill" is God.

Strangely, didn’t the Shang people of the Yin Dynasty worship birds? How could they use electricity as gods? From this, it proves that there must be earlier words before oracle bone inscriptions!

Oracle is definitely not the earliest form of Chinese, it must have a more primitive system.

It's a long way to go. In short, relevant experts explain that it is normal to use electricity as a god.

In Chinese, there is often one character that represents multiple meanings. After all, our writing system is like this, pictographic, extended, broad, narrow, noun use, etc.

The ancients could not explain natural phenomena, and they felt that wind, rain, ice and frost were magical. Among the natural phenomena, the most shocking one was undoubtedly "lightning"!

Therefore, after the ancients invented the word "electricity", they extended the meaning of "god", which means that humans are incomprehensible, are tempting, full of power, and extremely magical.

This is the mainstream explanation. Well, I can't argue, this is probably the most reasonable explanation.

I personally support this explanation.

The meaning of the word "God" in my country was originally derived from the ancients' inability to understand lightning, which makes completely sense.

The subsequent bronze inscriptions, the word "Shen" changed based on the word "Shen" in the word "Shen".

The people of the Zhou Dynasty added a radical to the character "Dian", which is a pictographic image of using an altar to sacrifice.

There is an altar on the left and a lightning bolt on the right.

This is the word "Shen" in bronze inscriptions, which also laid the foundation for later seal scripts, clerical scripts, and even modern Chinese characters. Later, they were simplifying the pictographic structure of bronze inscriptions, and became the word "Shen" we are now.

Well, it is very reasonable, but it is incompatible with the classification of Shanhai Jing.

Because according to this statement, the gods in the eyes of ancient people before the ancient Xia Dynasty mean gods, gods, supernatural, and extremely magical, just like our modern times.

Then it would be very strange to connect with the whole chapter of the Shanhai Classic.

For example, "There is a god, a human-faced and a beast-like body, called a beast."

This god, called "王", has its characteristic of being human-faced and beast-body... Well, the ancients couldn't understand this thing when they saw it, and they felt it was very magical, and they thought it was awesome, so they called it a god?
