Chapter 3 Rhapsody

Zhou Zhou and his friends entered the gymnasium and saw that the gymnasium was full of people, including men, women, young and old, dressed in various styles. There were old men in suits, young men with yin and yang heads, beautiful girls with fashionable clothes, and parents with children. As if they were in class, everyone was looking at the podium.

Zhou Zhou looked around and felt a familiar feeling came to his face.

————————This is where Carrie showed her superpowers in front of everyone for the first time! The dance gymnasium.

Zhou Zhou looked around in a complicated mood. It was much larger than the gymnasium he remembered. The curtain wall behind the stage was demolished and lined up in rows of chairs.

The wooden ladder chair on the right disappeared and turned into a large window, from which you can directly see the street view outside: the Bunny Girl happened to pass by outside.

The lion badge of the school football team on the left wall disappeared, replaced by a mural. In the mural, a fluffy blonde girl with her hands spread out, her eyes were angry, blood floated beside her, and flames burned behind her. Behind her was a boy in white suit, with a burly figure, looking like a stereotyped boy who would be good at sports, simple-minded, and liked by girls (not at all like Tommy Zhou Zhou’s impression). In front of the girl, men and women in dresses screamed in fear. The name of the painting was written in the lower right corner of the mural: Judgment. There is also a signature below the title: Curtis.

Zhou Zhou and his team found a seat in the last row and sat down and looked at the podium.

The female host above was reading a poem with full emotion.

“Jesus looked at me from the wall

But his face was as ice as rocks

If he loves me

Like she said

Why I always feel lonely.

This kind of poem was written by Carrie White in the seventh grade English class.”

The host wiped the corners of her eyes sadly and calmed down and said, "When reading various materials about Carrie, I always wondered what would her future be if Carrie was born in an ordinary family. Her mother was not a religious madman Margaret? I hope she would live a happy life. She might never discover her superpowers, and there would not be so many people studying her now. She might not meet Chris Hagensen and Billy Nolan; maybe she would become friends with Susnell. Tommy did not invite her to the dance party either. Instead, another boy invited her. Maybe she would get married, have a child, and build a family. She would only awaken her superpowers, and then her superpowers would be used to tease her children in her spare time.

Anyway, I think her future will be beautiful. However, there is a White Research enthusiast who recently mastered some key evidence that Carrie's tragedy may be inevitable. Carrie will eventually awaken her superpowers at the age of fifteen and head to destruction. Now, please invite Brian Nolan from North Carolina."

At this time, a tall middle-aged man wearing medieval paper-shelled armor and black-framed glasses walked up. He had long hands and feet, and he felt clumsy when walking.

As he walked from the right side of the stage to the left, Zhou Zhou noticed that the compass in his hand moved from right to left following Brian.

Brian took the microphone from the host's hand, then took out a piece of paper from his pocket, opened it tremblingly, pinching it tightly, and then coughed at the microphone, "Everyone, ache, sorry, I'm not dressed well, because tonight, some of my friends and I made an appointment to attend the role-playing conference held in Brickjad Hill, and I'm going to set off after the speech."

The audience smiled kindly.

"Let's get straight to the point and welcome everyone to this party. I'm honored and excited to be here to share my research results with you. When I first heard about the White incident 6 years ago, I was very interested and I did some special investigations for this. The investigation result was the human reason behind White's death. The human being I was talking about is not a prank by Chris and Billy, but a special organization behind the scenes, they gave Carrie super powers and induced her outbreak.

Here is my argument.........My profession is a forensic doctor, so I investigated the White incident from the perspective of forensic doctors, and then I found the autopsy report of Carrie White's mother. This report was mixed in many death reports at that time, and was not prominent at all. As we all know, many people died at that time. But I found that the report mentioned that Margaret White did not die of burns. Instead, it broke the neck and suffocated to death."

Someone below raised his hand to ask a question, and Brian signaled the other party to ask a question.

"You think there is a mysterious organization that killed Carrie's mother to stimulate Carrie and make Carrie's superpowers explode, right? But I don't think this autopsy report proves your guess. It is possible that Carrie used TK mental power to kill Margaret, such as shooting through Margaret's neck with a stone."

Brian replied: "Your assumption is good, it is indeed possible. But I have another key evidence in my hand to prove my assumption. This evidence comes from Carrie's autopsy doctor. According to him, the death time of Carrie's body is very strange, and the death time may have been misled. It was two days before the night of the dance, and there were traces of frozen things on the body. Because I was worried that others would doubt my professionalism, the doctor deliberately ignored these details and did not write this part of the facts into the report."

Speaking of this, everyone in the podium raised their hands, and Brian stopped to give a speech and signaled to ask questions below.

A young man with Yin-Yang head stood up and said, "That is to say, it is not Carrie's real body! A mysterious organization planned Carrie's death. The body was cloned."

Brian nodded.

There was an uproar below, and everyone whispered to each other.

"Do you have any other evidence to support your point of view?"

"Yes," Brian smiled. "When investigating the White incident, we visited her surviving classmates, neighbors, and even Margaret's parents and relatives. But I think we all overlooked an important person."

Brian kept a secret, his eyes slowly moved from left to right in the audience, and finally announced the answer in the audience's impatient gaze.

"Carry's father, Mr. White. We can't find out his birth year. There is no information about him in the government database. We only know the time of his death, and even, well, we can't even be sure whether he is really dead. I have published my latest research results on my website before. A mysterious person contacted me through my website and sent me a report through a letter. It shows that the DNA of Mr. White's body is inconsistent with Carrie's, which means that the one buried in the cemetery is not Carrie's father at all."

The audience was in a state of excitement again.

"That is to say, while we are talking now, maybe Carrie's father is watching us from below. My speech is over, thank you everyone."

The applause sounded warmly, with whistles mixed in between.

"By the way, are you hoping to participate in the role-playing conference? The Turkish BBQ restaurant in the town has prepared a truckload of barbecue. We will have a barbecue conference after the battle."

The audience laughed.

The last row.

When Brian walked off the podium, Zhou Zhou and the others noticed that the compass kept moving with him.

"It seems that we are going to follow him. Compass thinks he is the key person and can take us to find Carrie." Zhou Zhou said to Laura and the others.

So, they left the venue, stopped an SUV on the side of the road to attend the role-playing conference, hypnotized the other party with the memory removal stick, and sat in.

The SUV followed the big troops and at 9 pm, they arrived at the camping site.

I saw a bonfire between the flat ground embracing the forest, and a cardboard castle stood in the middle.

The crowd dressed up as medieval figures and visited each other in groups of three or three with wine bottles.

The knight was wearing a cardboard horse and chasing the witch; the dwarf dressed as a hobbit, wearing leather "big feet" and drinking budlight beer. The beautiful female elf danced and twisted her waist sexy. A tall and strong brave man said to the female elf: "The long road is long and I have no intention of sleep, let me comfort you with my body."

"Do you need me to bring a yurt first?" asked the shaman.
