Chapter 8 The Story

"What should I do now?" Lisa looked at the collapsed cement pipeline with despair. The forests on both sides of the cement pipeline also disappeared, leaving only an abyss.

Brian hugged his head and said in disbelief: "This is impossible. The earthquake just now clearly had a weak tremor, so how could such a large ditch be cracked?"

"Maybe this ditch existed originally, and the forest just now was fake. There was something like a screen that played the appearance of the forest." Rachel guessed.

"Let's find another way to leave. Rachel, Shaman, do you want to go back and put on your clothes?" Zhou Zhou said.

Rachel glanced at Zhou Zhou with a blushing face, lowered her head, and hid behind the shaman.

Brian looked at Zhou Zhou, then looked at Rachel and Shaman, and then said to Zhou Zhou seriously: "Brother, you are so quick to start. By the way, where has Laura been?"

Zhou Zhou was also confused and didn't know where Laura hid, but the main god did not remind the team members of death, so Zhou Zhou could only assume that she was safe.

Next, the group returned to the wooden house, took some essential outdoor equipment, and started walking in the opposite direction from the arrival time. They walked for more than two hours until the sun set, and Lisa stopped beside a tree, firmly saying that she never wanted to move any more.

"We can't see the road clearly at night, so why don't we rest for one night and continue to set off tomorrow." Brian asked Zhou Zhou, then looked at Shaman and Rachel again.

"Okay then." Zhou Zhou nodded.

The shaman loosened his shoulders, which meant that it didn't matter.

"I listen to the shaman." Rachel said to look at the shaman.

So everyone found a piece of wild land surrounded by woods, lit a fire, and moved closer to rest.

Zhou Zhou rubbed his aching waist and looked at the shaman sitting cross-legged beside him. The shaman was concentrating on igniting the fire with a wooden stick. The long, slightly curly black hair at the end was divided into two sides, revealing her plump forehead, slender eyebrows, and a very small mouth. Beside her, Rachel was snuggling on the shaman's shoulder at this moment, rubbing her pretty nose with the back of her hands from time to time, leaving a scattered ash. Rachel's nose was not as big as ordinary Europeans and Americans at all. Even if the girl with a big nose looks beautiful from the front, she will reveal her big nostrils like Takizawa Lola after lying down. Her short hair naturally raised her end like anime girl, but it won't look unnatural.

Opposite Zhou Zhou and the others, Brian sat cross-legged, Lisa slept in her sleeping bag, laying on her side, resting her head on Brian's thighs.

"We can't go to bed all the time. What if there is any emergency?" Zhou Zhou asked.

"Otherwise, we'll divide it into two groups. You are responsible for the first half of the night, and I am responsible for the second half of the night?" Brian suggested.

So Brian yawned deeply and went to bed first with his sleeping bag.

"You guys go to bed first, too." Zhou Zhou said to Rachel and Shaman.

"I can't sleep." Rachel curled her lips.

"I'm not sleepy either." The shaman said, then leaned into Zhou Zhou's ear and whispered: "Where is Laura?"

Zhou Zhou knew that she was concerned about the ubiquitous cameras here, and she was worried that she would remind the people on the other end of the camera that there was one missing person here.

Zhou Zhou shrugged, saying that he didn't know.

"How about we tell stories. Each person tells a ghost story." Rachel suggested.

"What kind of ghost story is told? I have no inspiration." Zhou Zhou replied.

"Let's do it. Let's make up a few words. When telling stories, you must use three of them." Rachel refused to let go, then took out her mobile phone and listed a few words in her mobile phone notebook: hospital, elevator, girl, and then added a few words given by Shaman and Zhou Zhou, thunderstorm, cat, baby, school, and rag doll.

"Let me do it now!" Rachel volunteered. She thought for a while and said mysteriously: "Once upon a time, there was a hospital, and there was a ward in the hospital, which was very big and could sleep with 15 patients. There was a little girl in the ward. The little girl had a habit of getting up and walking in the hospital at night. One night, the little girl woke up as usual and suddenly found that the whole hospital was very quiet. The patients who were originally lying in the same ward were all the same.

It disappeared, replaced by rag dolls. Then she heard the baby crying, and then a black cat walked into the room, jumped to a hospital bed, and removed a rag doll. The next day, when the little girl woke up, she found that a patient died last night. The dead patient happened to be lying on the bed of the rag doll that was removed. That night, countless black cats appeared...Okay, I'm done, it's your turn to say."

Zhou Zhou thought about it and began to talk about the story of the witch Carrie.

After hearing this, Rachel was about to object that she had not followed the rules, but somehow she just opened her mouth and let Zhou Zhou continue to say it.

It took half an hour to talk about it. Because Zhou Zhou personally experienced the dance event, the description was particularly true. The shaman was fascinated by the sound. After hearing it, Rachel said, "Although it sounds nice, it still fouled. The words given were not used."

The shaman reminded at this time: "He said. Carrie's birth: baby, school, and also said girl, Carrie is a girl."

Rachel curled her lips and muttered, "Lai Pi."

Zhou Zhou smiled proudly.

Then suddenly, the atmosphere became quiet, the shaman continued to stir up the fire, and Rachel continued to wipe her nose.

Then Zhou Zhou changed his mind and said, "Rachel, there is one thing I have always wanted to ask, why did you join us for treasure hunting? You should know that you are a girl. We are all strangers, and three of them are strange men."

“I’ve seen you at the White Commission venue,” Rachel said. “I was interested in Carrie and wanted to know more, so I followed.”

"You're also interested in Carrie."

Rachel nodded repeatedly and said, "It's like I saw myself when I heard about her story."

The shaman cast a puzzled look at Rachel.

"I am an orphan and I live in a relative's house. They treat me badly and just care about my support."

Just chatting in a mess, Rachel and the shaman finally fell asleep.

Because he sat for too long, Zhou Zhou felt his feet numb, so he stood up, stretched his waist long, and then took out his phone to see if there were any signals around him. This phone was the phone he used when he was still in the main world. In this world, he could not call, so Zhou Zhou always used this phone as a small computer. He raised the phone in front of him, looked left and then, trying to find the signal. When the phone shook through a small wood again, he suddenly found a figure of a Taoist figure in the forest.

Zhou Zhou was shocked, not sure if it was Laura or another monster.

So he quickly woke Brian and the others up, waiting to enter the woods.
