Chapter 6 The New Doctor

The curtain color enveloped Arkham, like thick ink, and it was contaminated with the breath of sin. Until this time, the quiet and peaceful hospital during the day would still show a bit of hideousness hidden in the darkness. The cold moonlight reflected the former hospital site like a medieval castle. The shouts and the crazy laughter were as creepy as the entrance to hell.

Old Frank swallowed and carefully illuminated the huge black iron door of the hospital with a flashlight. The entangled patterns on the door under the light were as intoxicating as if they were from another world. Even the old guard who had been here for several years could not help but want to escape.

"Shit!" He cursed in a low voice. Old Frank forced his courage to push open the old rusty iron door. The squeaking sound made by the silent Arkham seemed particularly loud. He carefully pulled out the baton and held it tightly in his hand and stepped carefully into it. Under the cover of the night, he gradually disappeared into the depths of the hospital.

When did Arkham become so terrible? All this should be attributed to the damn guardian of Gotham City. He was obviously a group of scumbag criminals who should be solved all, but he threw them into Arkham without leaving any hesitation. He was obviously holding a meager salary but had to face the extremely vicious criminals every day. Old Frank cursed the so-called savior of the city more than once in his heart.

He hurriedly walked through the corridor of the hospital with his head down. The guard who usually showed his might in front of the patient was worried like a defeated dog with his tail between his tail, fearing that a patient would run out of a corner of the corridor. He should know that no matter which patient was detained here, he could easily get rid of him.

Unlike the modern environment of the new hospital, the former Arkham site where Frank is located at the moment is a medical institution that existed as early as the 1970s. It is full of old medical equipment and machinery. The dim yellow lights hit the corridor not only fail to play a safe role, but also make people feel even more uneasy and scared.

Just like this, he walked a not-so-short journey in fear. Looking at the gray ward in front of him, Old Frank breathed a sigh of relief. This was the destination of his trip. Like other mental hospital wards, the patients' windows were all iron windows made of hard iron rods, less than half the size of their palms, so as to avoid the possibility of these villains escaping the hospital.

"You are here again, my good friend, hahahaha~" In the empty corridor, the sound of crazy laughter echoed throughout Arkham.

...

"So, you are my new doctor now?" Zhou Ran said in disbelief when he looked at the cold-looking blonde woman in front of him. After all, anyone who woke up the next day would find that Dr. Martin, who was originally his own, would become such a beautiful blond and slender doctor in front of him, would be equally surprised and slightly happy.

"That's right," nodded calmly. The blonde woman wore a white doctor's coat but showed a completely different kind of coldness and intelligence than Dr. Martin. She pushed the golden glasses on her small nose to signal Zhou Ran to sit down in front of her at a loss, and introduced herself with her red lips, "Doctor Martin cannot participate in your treatment for Mr. Zhou Ran for some personal reasons, so Arkham specially arranged for me to replace Dr. Martin. My name is Harlem Quizel. You can call me Dr. Harlem..."

The beautiful Dr. Harlem has as good psychological treatment skills as her appearance and is an authoritative representative of Gotham's psychology.

Facts have proved that facing a bald doctor (Dr. Martin) doctor and a beautiful doctor, it is obviously two different psychological experiences. The former one will infinitely believe in the other's professional level, while the latter one is more pleasing to the eye. It is not that I have never seen a beautiful woman, but Dr. Harlem has a professional attitude in every move, and Wuyi is more likely to gain Zhou Ran's trust than Dr. Martin who shines on his forehead.

Looking at the medical record in his hand, Harlem immediately knew that it was obvious that the Asian man named Zhou Ran in front of him was a normal ordinary person. His psychological diagnosis met the requirements according to Arkham's regulations. He could be discharged within a week of observation period when he was confirmed to be mentally ill. The main reason why he was not released under such circumstances was that the other party could not remember everything that happened on the day he was sent to the hospital no matter what.

Halin has heard of the incident on the Third Street. He heard that a vicious murder occurred in the old apartment. The deceased was a young girl in her youth and was brutally killed by the murderer. However, the abominable murderer is still alive in the police pursuit.

However, what does this murder have to do with the thin boy in front of him? The interest aroused by the unexpected case made Harlem face up to this originally simple psychological diagnosis. Is the boy in front of him really ignorant of the inside story or the crime cover-up outside?

As a psychologist, Harlem is the first teaching left by his mentor when conducting psychological research, that he must not judge a person's heart by his appearance. Psychology is an esoteric study. In this regard, even a tutor who has been immersed in for decades, it is difficult for him to draw a conclusion that he understands his heart.

However, Gotham City provides the best research channel for such a difficult research, where there are the most dangerous criminals but also the most research-worthy treasure.

"From the results on the medical records during this period, it is obvious that Zhou Ran, you have no problem."

Of course I know that I have no problem, but I am worried that if I stay like this, even if I have no problem, I will make a problem. Looking back at the gesture of my penguin comparison, Zhou Ran was a little scared. The other party was a super villain who killed people without blinking. How could he provoke the other party with the mentality of committing death?

He was complaining about Arkham's delay in his heart. Zhou Ran asked Dr. Harlem, who was sitting in front of him, "Since there is no problem, then when can I go out from Arkham? You must know that if I stay in the hospital again, I can't guarantee that I will be normal for the next time I meet."

"Haha," said Harlem, following the general low laugh point in America, being laughed by Zhou Ran's self-deprecating, touching her golden glasses and smiling, "Don't worry too much, Zhou Ran, I will say to Arkham for you first, let them arrange you to an ordinary hospital, and then after a period of consultation, if there is no problem, you can be discharged safely."

"I hope." Zhou Ran sighed helplessly. It seemed that it would take some time before he left Arkham.
