Chapter 10: Aftermath

In a thatched hut, a strong child kept muttering something.

"At noon, sweat drips into the soil on the ground. Who knows that every grain of food on the plate is hard to do." The child kept muttering while drawing something on the table.

"What are you doing, you always whisper." A young man in a short sweatshirt asked. This man was the one who handed Li Si hatchet today.

"Dad, I will never waste food again." The child said to the young man with a serious look on his face.

"Oh?" The young man was surprised. You know, his son is not worried at all when eating, and every time he has left over. He always uses bamboo sticks to smoke the leftover food, but he has never had a memory. Thinking of this, he couldn't help but ask: "Cao Meng, what did the gentleman teach you today?"

"Yes." Cao Meng nodded affirmatively and said, "Sir, teach me a poem."

The young man knew it very well. He knew Xianggong Li very well. When he was fine, he would open lectures to teach children. He never charged money. Even if someone wanted to give him money, he refused.

This is very rare in this world. Many scholars actually look down on them, let alone enlighten their children. Cao Qing is a wise person and can tell the difference between things. So he admires Li Si very much, which is why he was the first to stand up and offer his sword today.

"Then you recite it to me." Cao Qing picked up the teapot on the seat, poured a glass of water in the pottery bowl on the table, and waited for Cao Meng to recite the poem to him.

When Cao Meng heard Cao Qing say this, he couldn't help but straighten his chest and read in the way Li Si recited in class: "It's noon to hoe the wheat, and sweat drips into the soil. Who knows that every grain of food on the plate is hard."

When he heard the poems written by Cao Meng, Cao Qing couldn't help but savor the pottery bowl he held. However, he felt that he could understand the poem. He felt that although these lines were simple, they were deafening. He couldn't help but sigh: "Mr. Li is a scholar who knows the sufferings of the world."

...

In the other corner of the county town, the family was having a meal, and the candlelight shone brightly in the room. The fat man with a fat face was feasting, while the fat man, who was several models smaller than the fat man, was watching the fat man eat intently. This fat man is Yu Hu, and this fat man is his father Yu Butcher Yu San.

"What are you looking at? Have you never seen your father eat?" Yu San felt that his son had been staring at him for dinner, his eyes were strange, which made him feel a little furious.

"Nothing. Dad, keep eating." Yu Hu started eating slowly, but Yu Guang looked at his father from time to time.

"I won't eat anymore, I won't eat anymore!" Yu San immediately put the chopsticks on the table and was not ready to eat them.

Seeing that he stopped eating, the little Yuhu became energetic and accused him: "Mr. Li said today, but every grain of food on the plate is hard-earned, and the food is hard to come by. Why do you say that if you don't eat it, you won't eat it!"

"Ouch!" Yu San screamed, and understood that this kid wanted to teach himself. So he sat down, yelled, and said to his wife: "Then I will finish this meal today, but if you dare to waste food for me in the future, I will see if I will smash your butt."

After saying that, he started eating quickly and finished the meal in a short while. After eating, he crossed his hands on his chest and looked at the fat man leisurely. Yu Hu felt so angry that he couldn't eat the meal anymore.

Yu Hu's mother, who was standing beside her, covered her mouth and laughed, but she was not ready to smooth things over.

In the middle of the night, screams came out of the Yu family.

There are many such conversations in this county, and the poem "Praise the Farmer" has begun to be known to adults.

...

"Oh oh oh..." A rooster crow resounded throughout the night sky.

Li Si suddenly kicked her legs on the bed, as if she had thrust, and then the later generations woke up immediately.

He got up from the bed in a daze, stretched his body, then walked to the backyard, picked up the willow branches and brushed his teeth.

After a while, he finished washing up. Li Si looked at the night sky with stars and couldn't help but sigh. He unexpectedly came to this world and had a habit of staying in bed. You know, he had never gotten up so early before.

After walking out of the door and locking it with a lock, Li Si started to stretch in front of the door. Anyway, there were no one at this time.

He was planning to run well this morning. Anyway, he was wearing the short sweatshirt he didn't change yesterday, and it was lightweight. If it was the long shirt, it would be inconvenient.

After completing the stretching exercise, he started jogging in the city. At first, his legs were a little sore, but later he felt less sore as he ran.

After running for about ten minutes, he felt like his lungs were burning and he couldn't breathe, so he walked away. Not long after he walked, he started running again, and went back and forth. When it was almost dawn, Li Si happened to walk to the tofu shop.

"Oh, Mr. Li, it's so early." The shopkeeper of the tofu shop said hello when he saw Li Si coming over, and then saw him sweating profusely, and was surprised: "What is Mr. Li doing? Why are he sweating profusely?"

"Oh, I'm going to run. Uncle Zhou, please give me a bowl of tofu, just like yesterday." Li Si wiped the sweat from her head with her clothes and said with a smile.

"Running?" The shopkeeper of the tofu shop was immediately confused when he heard this word.

Li Si suddenly remembered that in ancient times, there was no word running, and they basically didn’t run much, so he added: “It’s just walking and exercising.”

The owner of the tofu shop suddenly realized it, shook his head and smiled, and went to Li Sishao tofu flower.

"Good Lord Li!" Suddenly a shout came from afar, and a fat man with a wide body came over, and a fat face squeezed out a smile and said to Li Si: "Good Lord Li has been in good health recently."

Li Si only felt that she was shrouded in a shadow. She looked up at Yu San and said with a smile: "My body is much better. Thank you for your concern."

"Hey, Mr. Li, you have to be polite. I have to thank you for disciplined my son. This is half a pound of pork belly, and I will replenish your body well." Yu San smiled and placed a bundle of pork belly wrapped in lotus leaves on the table in front of Li Si.

"This is impossible." Li Si frowned, picked up the pork and handed it to Yu San, and said, "I have never thought about greed for anything."

This sentence is the truth. He just wanted to teach these children something because he couldn't find any entertainment activities in this world. He didn't want to be greedy for something.
