Chapter 5 S.H.I.E.L.D.
Seattle Quinn Group Headquarters.
"Ultron! How is Oliver now?!" asked a tall man with silver hair anxiously.
"I just got two messages about Oliver." The low mechanical male voice started to ring in the spacious room with a unique speaker.
"Is it good news or bad news?" the silver-haired man continued to ask.
"It depends on what you think of Robert." Ultron replied slowly.
The middle-aged man with silver hair lowered his head and thought for a moment, and said slowly, "Ultron, tell me the good news you think first."
"Okay, Robert. Agent S.H.E.L.D. just found Oliver on the highway, and he is all right. Robert, you don't have to worry about your son's safety anymore."
Robert Quinn let out a long sigh.
"What about the bad news?"
"The bad news is that Agents of SHIELD discovered the dead third-degree mutant criminal Nitrified man near Oliver in a coma."
"Agents of SHIELD have been found to have been found to have killed the nitrifying person after a simple on-site investigation. It was Oliver Quinn, who was in a coma at the scene."
"I can be sure that the power of the long arrow has awakened in Oliver."
A long silence appeared between Robert Quinn and Ultron.
About ten minutes later, Robert Quinn slowly broke the long silence.
"Ultron, connect Ultron 08."
“No problem.”
In a blink of an eye, the low male voice instantly turned into a smart and capable middle-aged female voice.
"Robert Quinn, my master. What's your problem?"
"Ultron 08, transfer all the assets under my name to my daughter Thea Quinn immediately!"
"No problem. The asset transfer will be completed within twenty-four hours."
Seven days later.
"I know this matter sounds a bit like a day talk, but now Oliver Quinn, in addition to the amnesia caused by the strong impact, does suffer from quite serious aphasia and dyslexia at the same time." The doctor in a white coat explained to the agents of S.H.E.L.D. next to him with a serious look.
S.E.L.D. agent in black was stunned and asked with a puzzled look, "But why can Oliver Quinn suddenly read and use Chinese fluently?"
"He doesn't even have a little accent in Mandarin!"
The doctor in a white coat frowned and said with little certainty, "Maybe this is due to one-half of the Chinese descent he has? You know, in this place of China, anything weird can happen."
Skye shrugged, wondering if he should believe the words of this doctor who was only one step away from winning the Nobel Prize in Medicine.
"It has been a week since the tragedy that happened in Stamford, Connecticut. This tragedy that caused nearly a thousand casualties has triggered a wave of opposition from ordinary people to superheroes."
"Tony Stark! You dirty scum! It's your money that funded the Avengers, it's your show on TV, telling those superpowered bastards that they won't be punished by law as long as they wear tights and masks."
"It's too unrealistic to ban all superheroes. According to civil statistics, there are more than 3,000 superheroes in New York alone."
"The problem is here. The abilities of these superheroes are comparable to human nuclear bombs, but no one has imposed any restrictions on them..."
"Ultron 26, turn off the TV." Lu Jian, who was half leaning on the hospital bed, sighed and ordered.
With a tingling sound, the high-definition LCD screen hanging in the center of the ward turned off instantly.
Skye, a agent of SHIELD, who had just pushed open the ward door, happened to witness this scene. After being a little surprised, Skye curled her lips helplessly.
"Oliver Quinn, how do you feel today?"
Lu Jian, half lying on the hospital bed, looked at Skye in black in front of him and said coldly, "Now, do you believe I am the real Oliver Quinn?"
"After testing by SHIELD, your DNA, fingerprints, pupils, voiceprints, and teeth records are the same as those of Oliver Quinn earlier. Moreover, Ultron 26 also determines that you are his master."
"We have no more reason to suspect that you are not that famous Seattle playboy."
"So, now I can leave this mobile prison in your SHIELD?"
"No problem, just follow me to sign an agreement."
Lu Jian stared with a cautious expression, and the beautiful female agent in front of him slowly turned his pupils.
"After facial analysis, Agent Skye's words were 98% credible. We can definitely go with her."
Ultron 26, hidden in Google Glasses, said through the earphones hidden in Lu Jian's ears.
Skye, who had been standing quietly opposite Lu Jian, looked at Lu Jian, who was gradually relaxing, and smiled helplessly, "Oliver, Ultron 26's analysis of me is over."
"Even if you don't believe in me and SHIELD, you should believe in your super artificial intelligence!"
Lu Jian nodded a little awkwardly and turned to get out of bed.
"The Superhero Registration Act will be voted in two weeks," said the new director of SHIELD, Maria Hill, looking at Captain America standing in front of him.
"But we can't wait until then to find ways to deal with those possible emergencies! Captain America."
"Hill, what do you mean?" Captain America, with a gloomy expression, gently turned his shield.
"You and I know very well what I mean by emergencies."
"You can't do this! Those people have been fighting for the ordinary people in this country. You can't just chase after these people who have made sacrifices for the ordinary people just because they are unwilling to disclose their identities."
"Why can't we do this? The Hulk has smashed Las Vegas, Wolverine has threatened to assassinate the president, and Spider-Man has destroyed Times Square. Shouldn't these self-righteous heroes be bound by the law?!"
"Hill, you should know how many people these people have saved. You cannot use the public's temporary anger to hunt down these heroes who have protected countless ordinary people!"
"Captain America is now a legal society. The heroes of the past have no reason to exist anymore."
After a long silence, Captain America slowly breathed a sigh of relief and said coldly to the figure who had been hiding in the darkness, "Tony Stark, Iron Man, do you think so too?"
