Chapter 13: The rivers and lakes fall, and the fragrance blooms to the white lotus

Zhang Muyun said it relaxed when he took Yuechan up the mountain and into the temple. Although he had told Yuechan indifferently before, that Buddhism advocated equality of all beings, and that monks were not close to women, it did not mean that women could not enter the monk temple. But in fact, except for ordinary female pilgrims, women were prohibited from entering and leaving the temple courtyard.

Zhang Muyun thought about this before when he was fine, and felt a little confused. Isn’t Buddhism claiming to be equal to all sentient beings? In order to save all sentient beings, he did not hesitate to open the door of convenience; why is the inner courtyard of this temple like the military camp not allowed to enter? I was puzzled, and in the end, Zhang Muyun had to attribute the reason to the fact that the monks had too shallow cultivation. When they saw the woman, they would break the precepts in their hearts. They had to see the eyes and not be upset and all were turned away. So Zhang Muyun was a little despised by the Buddhist children.

Of course, Zhang Muyun would not let this ridiculous rule break his plan to make money. He took Yuechan to the mountain gate, and he was also impatient to talk to the monk Duolasu who blocked the monks. He told them directly that Yuechan was the person their abbot pointed out to meet yesterday. In this way, although the monks were a little suspicious, they no longer stopped them and let the two young men and women go straight to the abbot's courtyard behind the temple.

The Baolin Zen Temple of Yuchi Mountain where Mu Yunyuechan is stepping on is actually not simple. The Baolin Temple located on Yuntai Peak of Yuchi Mountain is known as the "No. 1 Temple to the North of Changsha"; its abbot is also known as the "No. 1 Monk from Dongting South". At that time, Buddhism was very prosperous, and there were many good men and women, and even there were many Buddhists who believed in high-ranking officials and generous salaries in the government. Over the years, the Lanruo Temple on Yuntai Peak was rich in silver and gold and silk. Although it was a thousand-year-old temple, it had been repaired several times and had a grand specification and a brand new look.

During the tenure of the current abbot Zhiguang, Baolin Temple worked harder to operate; within 20 years, there were two major repairs and several minor repairs. Each time, it was started, recruiting Miluo craftsmen, working hundreds of people a day, cutting down ridges on the spot, and the sound of axe vibrated the valley. Until now, there was no way to repair the Baolin Temple, so that the abbot Zhiguang, who was keen on construction, had set his mind on the body of thousands of large and small copper-cast arhat Buddha statues in the temple, preparing to recruit merits and shaping them on gold one by one.

The Yuchi Mountain Baolin Temple, which is so hard-working, is really beautiful and majestic. In front of Baolin Temple, a tall mountain gate made of clouds overlooks the deep forest in the valley in front of it. The horizontal sign on the top of the mountain gate is inlaid with five-color glazed glass inlaid with pictures of a Buddha becoming a Buddha girl flying in the sky and scattering flowers. The stone pillars on both sides are coiled around the Buddhist priests, the dragon's applause, the round eyes are full of glare, the clouds are cherry-like, and the dragon's beard can be counted. On the left side of the mountain gate is the bell pavilion, and on the right is the drum tower; there is a path between the bell pavilion and the mountain gate.

The corridor with wooden stone steps is laid along the mountain and runs through the entire temple, which facilitates the exchanges between believers and monks. The corridors include most of the buildings in the temple, starting from the bell and drum tower at the mountain gate, passing through the release pond, the mountain gate hall, the Heavenly King Hall, the Great Hall of the Great Hall, the Sumiya Altar Buddha Hall, the Liandeng Pavilion Sutra Record Hall, the Vilu You Pavilion Sutra Collection Hall, the Tianhui Hall Sutra Hall, the Abbot's Courtyard, and the corridors on both sides advance together, until the seven-story octagonal and the ridges behind the temple, before the two meet.

After the corridor leads to the Heavenly King Hall, there are many houses on both sides of the corridor; among them are monks' dormitory where monks live, fragrant kitchens for cooking, "Wanzhu Forest" for guest houses, Tianmuting, where they bathe, and the robe and pots of the kuangyuan storing magical instruments and miscellaneous objects. They are surrounded by a corridor and connected by monks' dormitory. It can be said that there is no such magnificent and complex building in Luozhou except Baolin Temple.

In addition to these grand and solemn buildings, there are many flowers, plants and trees in Baolin Temple. Between the halls, ancient pines are lush and the fragrance of flowers is overflowing. When the sky is clear, the sun is green, and the rainy day is misty and rainy. Looking at this scene, if it weren’t for the desire of the world, it would be a paradise!

Besides, Zhang Muyun took Yuechan along the corridor and passed through the courtyard and walked through the courtyard all the way to the abbot's courtyard. He turned from the pebbled path that broke out of the corridor to the gate of the abbot's courtyard. He was about to enter the door, but he was stopped by the little novice monk who was idle outside the abbot's courtyard. He heard that the abbot was receiving the trusted donors and asked them to wait outside the courtyard for a while. After listening to the little novice monk's words, Mu Yun and Yuechan had to find a pine shade outside the courtyard to set it up and wait for the abbot's affairs to be over.

After waiting for more than half an hour. Just as he was a little impatient, he heard the sound of the curtains in the inner courtyard. A man dressed in a purple dress dressed in a rich man came out of the abbot's clean room and walked out of the yard with his eyes facing the sky. He didn't even look at the young man and woman who were close to the shade of the pine trees next to him, and then he swayed down the mountain from the corridor.

At this time, Abbot Zhiguang also came out of the inner courtyard. He looked at the door solemnly, looked at the corridor. Seeing that the official who had just given money had already walked away, he relaxed his face with confidence, changed into a happy smile, and turned around and walked back happily.

Seeing this, Zhang Muyun, who had been impatient for a long time, quickly stopped him.

"Hello!"

Zhang Muyun was a little dissatisfied:

"I said to old monk, don't hurry to leave! Your money doesn't grow legs, why are you afraid that it will leave? But after hearing your words last night, I brought my girl to copy the scriptures. Do you think when will the work start?"

"ah?"

Suddenly being stopped by Zhang Muyun and saying this, the old abbot Zhiguang was surprised. He turned around and looked at it. The old abbot rubbed his eyes and said in surprise:

"It turned out to be Mu Yun's little donor. When did you come? Why should you hide? I didn't see it."

While complaining, the old abbot turned his neck again and saw the girl with her head down in the shadow behind Zhang Muyun, and said in surprise:

"Mu Yun, you come to copy the scriptures, why do you bring a female Tan Yue around you? My temple comes in and out of the temple, and it is so inconvenient for women to come in. I see if you are still--"

As soon as he said this, the old abbot was intercepted by the boy:

"Master! Could it be that the monks in your temple who have been studying Buddhism all day long are still afraid that a little girl will succeed? This woman is not an outsider, but my distant cousin who has been separated for many years. It was only when you left last night that I realized that this girl is a good writer, and her calligraphy is still above me. Therefore, I brought her to speed up the progress of copying scriptures in the temple."

"Is that true?"

Zhiguang was a little confused by the boy's comments, so he asked:

"You, Tan Yue, who has been separated for many years, is the name..."

"Yuechan."

"Good name!"

The old abbot regarded the word "chan" as "Zen", and realized that the name was quite Buddhist, and immediately felt that it was three-point intimate. At this time, Yuechan also bowed his head and said politely:

"Yuechan has met Master Abbot."

After performing the woman's tribute, Yue Chan also looked up slightly. Unexpectedly, at this moment, the old Zen master suddenly couldn't help but sigh, and his heart skipped a beat, and he was so uneasy!

"Does this little kid Mu Yun have such a kind cousin?"

After all, a monk who practices Buddhism and studies purity. Even if he has to negotiate with ordinary people often for temple affairs, the Minrui Tianji, who has been cultivated for many years, is different from ordinary people. He hides in a corner of the Dongting Temple and boasts for hundreds of miles. When can such a fairy with wisdom and spirit come to a fairy? Even if his makeup is elegant and light, he is like a secluded orchid in the snow; even if his feelings are as quiet as a secret, he is still elegant and elegant. There is no need to answer more with the girl, and Zhiguang will feel that this woman has a long wisdom and a bright and elegant style.

However, even though he was surprised, the old abbot remained silent and said with a smile:

"Okay, it depends on your Mu Yun Xiaotan for your sake, and leave her to copy the scriptures together in the temple. Complete enlightenment!"

"Why!"

After calling out, the novice monk next to him hurried over and waited for the abbot's order.

"Yuanjue, you will take Mu Yun and the others to the Wanzhulin guesthouse to arrange for accommodation."

"yes!"

After ordering the little novice monk, the old abbot turned to Mu Yunyuechan and the others and said:

"When you two settle down, Mu Yun, you can take Miss Yuechan to Xiangji Kitchen to ask for vegetarian food. The "Sutra of Resistance" in the temple will be copied from the time of the Riyang period. Then you can go to Liandeng Pavilion to report to my junior brother Zhikong on time."

"Okay! Thank you Master!"

Seeing that the old monk God of Wealth was surprisingly refreshing today, Zhang Muyun was very happy. He responded and followed the young monk Yuanjue and followed the pebbles and headed towards the Wanzhu Forest of the Temple's living courtyard. Behind them, the old abbot looked at their backs, especially the girl who was slowly moving away, and felt a little sad:

"well!"

The old Zen master whined and felt heartbroken:

"Amitabha, since you gave your disciple such a surprisingly wise monk, why did you reincarnate such a charming girl to accompany you?"

The old abbot of Baolin Temple, who has extraordinary abilities and always wishes come true, felt that he was getting further and further away from his predetermined goal for the first time...

Not to mention the old monk's sadness over there, Zhang Muyun and Yuechan followed the young monk Yuanjue to Wanzhulin, and soon picked two close guesthouses as resting places. They didn't plan to stay for a long time. At most, they had no luggage and had no trouble with Yuanjue. They just had to bring them over to say hello to the first monk in Wanzhulin Hospital, and after a few words, they went back to report to the abbot.

After putting their luggage in Wanzhulin Yajie's guest house, seeing that there was nothing else, the two young men and women left the door together and met in the courtyard. At this time, they looked at the sky. Before the sun wheel on the south mountain had moved to the middle and it was still early to leave the meal. Zhang Muyun decided to take Yuechan to the temple first.

The scenery of Baolin Temple is quiet, and the Wanzhulin Hospital, which is lined up with many bamboos, is full of green bamboos and beautiful scenery. In the Buddhist Hospital, there are fine bamboos planted everywhere in the corners of the walls. In the courtyard that covers an area of vast areas, besides the road pool, there are swaying bamboos. Every time the mountain wind blows outside the courtyard, the bamboo waves are rustling in the bamboo forest, and the green shadows are lush. The stiff and dry mountain wind whirls through the bamboo forest, and when it blows onto the body, it is very clear, cold and quiet.

After passing through the Wanzhu Forest, walking through the Moon Cave Gate, we will reach the corridor down the mountain in the east. When they went up the mountain, they followed the corridor on the west side. Now they walked leisurely from the corridor on the east side, and the scenery they saw was different. Zhang Muyun and Yuechan walked slowly towards the front mountain along the stone steps in the corridor. At this time, it was not like when they came, and they could leisurely look at the palaces and the mountains outside the corridor.

Walking around the temple, and when lunch was at lunch, Zhang Muyun and Yuechan went to Xiangji Kitchen in the temple to get a vegetarian meal. They did not go to the canteen where the monks had dinner. They only found a shade of flowers under a tree nearby, so they sat on the rocks to start eating vegetarian meals.

In the afternoon, Zhang Muyun and Yuechan went to the couplet pavilion of the Buddhist temple recording scriptures behind the Sumeru Altar. Under the arrangement of the abbot's junior brother Zhikong, they sat cross-legged on two adjacent cushions in the back row of the Buddhist pavilion house. Like other monks copying scriptures in the temple, they began to copy the "Sutra of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva" on the black lacquered wooden table.

They worked hard to copy the scriptures until the end of the evening. After that, the two of them went to Xiangji Kitchen to ask for dinner after dinner, so they didn't have to mention it in detail.

After dinner, they returned to the ten thousand bamboo forest of the living yard, and the two people who were about to crow today finally calmed down. After dinner, they each made some water in a wooden basin and washed it briefly, changed into clean clothes, and then made an appointment to stroll in the garden of the guest house. While walking, the sky above the head had turned into a dark blue color. An orange full moon had hung in the east sky at some point, casting a soft light in front of their eyes.

In the night moonlight, they slowly walked through a bamboo path and came to a mirror-shaped pool. At this time, the cool evening breeze blew from outside the mountain, kneading out many wrinkles on the water surface of the pond, sparkling with countless fragments of moonlight. The clear mountain breeze wrinkled a pool of clear water, which also made Zhang Muyun clear body and mind. Looking up at the night clouds in the dark blue sky, and then looked at the golden moonlight in the pool waves in front of him. Zhang Muyun couldn't help but stretched and said with emotion:
