If it is slow aurora, you can choose a slow shutter, just like shooting a river and getting an aurora flow; but when encountering a fast aurora, you need to increase the iso and the shutter should be faster to avoid blurring works. Although you will observe the changes in the northern lights during shooting, conceiving them in advance will help you take photos.

First of all, focus must be turned on to manual mode, and then to infinity. Be careful not to focus the lens on the focus ring to the end or infinity. Be aimed at the short-term short-term line of infinity. Then, do not turn on the iso too high, as it will cause noise. Yunluo thinks that at most, do not exceed 400.

The aperture of 18-55 should be around 8 and the imaging is better. The exposure time depends on the situation. If there is no shutter line, and the aurora is brighter, the exposure is 30s, iso200, and the aperture f4. The aurora is darker, so increase the iso or open the aperture.

If there is a shutter line, the aperture can be reduced and the exposure time can be increased. However, if the exposure is too long, Yunluo thinks it is not very good. Because the wind is too strong, the camera will always shake, and the aurora is changing. If you expose it for a few minutes, the shape of the aurora will be unclear.

Experienced people will use the B mode to fix the aperture and iso, and only determine the shutter speed based on their feelings, because the brightness of the aurora is constantly changing. The cloud is not good at math. It really cannot be done, so they use the a mode. Most clouds will fix the iso at a maximum of 1600. The shutter cannot exceed 15 seconds for basic settings. The iso must be lower than 1600 or it will become unclear about the stars and noise. 15 seconds is the number of seconds that clouds personally love, and can catch the waves when the aurora swings.

Please remember to use the raw file to shoot. Those who do not use the shutter cable remember to use the shooting function after two seconds, otherwise the camera will vibrate when pressing the shutter and make the photo blurry. Because most aurora shoots are wide angles and fish eyes, and the focal length of the cloud falls is infinitely far without worrying about blurred foreground, and the aperture depends on the situation.

What does the aurora look like? Before seeing it with your own eyes, this must be a question in the mind of every viewer or photographer, and the same is true for Yunluo! He is also afraid that he will be disappointed when he sees the aurora not as gorgeous as the photos! However, after five nights of observation, the aurora can be said to be illusory and ever-changing. Since you have a 360° visual effect when you look up, the effect is absolutely shocking! If you want to talk about the light, most of them will be weaker than the photos (don't forget that there are moonlight when Nalan Shuqi and Yunluo looked at it...). A few bursts are as bright as the photos. Yunluo feels that any photo or instrument cannot perfectly record the stunning appearance of the aurora, and you must experience it yourself.
