Darkness Comes Blood

He suddenly woke up, and in the dark he felt unspeakable fear. He wanted to shout, but all he made was a cry of roar. The door was pushed open, and a ray of light came over, which was very conspicuous in the dark room. Someone came over and he felt like he was being picked up and hugged into a warm embrace.

Feeling the familiar breath, the uneasiness in his heart dissipated a lot. He leaned his head against the man's chest and listened to the man's heartbeat. The familiar sound made him feel safe.

"Be good baby, mom is here." She said softly, kissing his forehead gently. She carried him through the door to the living room next door, and then sat in the soft sofa. The fire was burning very strongly in the fireplace not far away, and the wood was crackling, emitting a faint rosy smell.

He opened his eyes and looked at the woman holding him. She had beautiful long tan hair and clear and bright light green eyes. When she looked at him, he could see his reflection and his mother's deep love for her son.

Yes, that was his mother—when he opened his eyes again from the darkness, he realized that he had become a baby, he once again had his parents who loved him, and even had a twin brother. He was surprised by all this, but more of it was surprise, which meant that he had a happy home again.

However, it made him uneasy, he vaguely felt that some threat was moving closer to them. Over the past few months, this feeling became stronger and stronger. He didn't know where this feeling came from, and he couldn't do anything. He was just a baby less than one year old, fragile and powerless, and even his voice organs had not yet developed intact. Apart from making roaring sounds, he couldn't even speak.

Just now, there was an unknown premonition, which was more intense than ever. He lay in his mother's arms, thinking about what this meant. He had just re-owned home, so he cherished it very much.

"What's wrong with him?" The father came over and kissed his mother. "What's wrong, my dear?"

"I don't know." She whispered, and she looked at her husband. "His brother is asleep, but he can't calm down. As long as I put him down, I will cry." She hesitated, "I can feel that he is scared."

My father was stunned for a moment, a trace of worry flashed in his eyes. He smiled and tried to comfort his mother. At this time, without any warning, a terrible feeling came like a tide - despair, pain, fear. He felt that the air around him became as pissed as ice water, making it difficult for him to breathe.

The father and mother also felt it. The father stood up suddenly. At this time, with a bang, the door of the cottage was blown to pieces and fragments flew everywhere. The father blocked her and her mother and shouted in panic: "It's him! Escape quickly, Lily... take the child away... I will hold him!"

The mother hugged him and ran into the bedroom. He could hear the father's cry behind him and the sound of the things shattered. The mother ran to the crib and tried to pick up his brother. The little guy woke up and was crying loudly.

"Poor man." said a cold voice, like a snake slipping through the skin, "Avadassomim."

His heart suddenly felt a stinging pain, as if someone had cut off a piece of it hard, and then another loud bang, and a big hole was blown into the bedroom wall. The mother was stunned, and she sobbed in pain, and then slowly put him and his brother in the crib.

She turned slowly and blocked him and his brother behind him. He wanted to stand up, but he couldn't use any strength. He could only see his mother's back, thin but strong.

"Don't touch my children! Let them go! Please - I promise everything-" the mother said, with a trembling voice. He could feel his mother's fear and despair, what he wanted to do, this desire was so strong that it even dispelled his fear.

"Does go—Does go—" said the cold voice, with impatientness, "Don't let me say it a second time."

The mother did not dodge. She looked back at him and his younger brother on the bed, with deep love and reluctance in her eyes, and she had more courage and determination. She turned around and took a deep breath: "Kill me, please let my child go... I am willing to die for them!"

"No!" he shouted loudly, but only a shrill cry. He felt pain, despair, and strong anger. His mother was about to die for him, but he could only watch. He bit his lips tightly, stomped on the handrail of the crib, and stood up miraculously. His lips were broken, and his mouth was full of the fishy smell of blood.

"That was your own sake." The voice said angrily, "Avadassomim!"

A dazzling green light burst out, and his heart felt a sting again - his mother fell in front of him, her eyes wide open, but there was no gloss there anymore. He stared at his mother's body blankly and believed, and he couldn't believe that he once again lost his beloved relatives, and watched them being killed.

He looked up and now he saw the murderer, who was wearing a black robe, tall and thin like a skeleton, with a miserable green flame wandering around him like a snake, and his pale face and scarlet snake-like eyes were looking at him.

He felt that he was dominated by a strong emotion, not fear, but endless anger, and he felt the surging murderous intent boiling in his chest, and he never longed to kill someone like he was now.

"Funny." The man said coldly, "Now, no one can stop me anymore." Scarlet eyes glanced at him and his crying brother beside him.

He noticed the malice in the eyes and subconsciously tried to block his younger brother.

"Hmph..." The man sneered, with cruelty and playfulness on his face, and waved his hand gently.

Suddenly, he felt the air around him become sticky and trapped him in place and unable to move. He looked at the person, the disdain and mockery on the person's face - he was playing with himself, but he watched his relatives die once.

"Avadasaud!" the man recited again.

His heart suddenly paused. Now he understood what the strange words meant, but he could not do anything. His younger brother was about to be killed, just like his parents, but he could do nothing. He saw a green light shot straight at his younger brother, and then there was a sudden light in front of him. He heard a sharp scream and then lost consciousness.

…………

In the ward, Shirley was lying alone on the hospital bed.

She could not see or hear anything, darkness and silence surrounded her. The poor girl had innocently encountered such misfortune. The terrifying memories like nightmares and violent pain bit her, but she could not make a sound and could not move, and could only bear the torture alone helplessly.

She felt something was growing and spreading in her heart: fear, pain, and endless hatred-she hated, hated the people in the town, hated their indifference, hated their bullying, hated the hurt and pain they exerted on her. This terrible emotion appeared in the girl's heart for the first time, and then became stronger and stronger, and it spread like a flame in her heart.

"Do you want to take revenge?" A calm voice rang in her ears like a whisper.

The darkness and silence disappeared, and Shirley found herself standing in a yard - the yard in front of her apartment building, but it was dilapidated. The dilapidated building was covered with messy vines. In the flower pond, the flowers and plants she planted withered withered, and dust and fallen leaves were everywhere.

She was standing in the middle of the yard, wearing her favorite white dress, standing in front of her, with a man floating like smoke and a pair of golden eyes like snakes. But she was not afraid, but she felt vaguely excited.

"Come on, let those who hurt you pay the price." He stretched out his hand to her and said slowly, with a delusional power in his voice.

Shirley hesitated for a moment, then she made a decision, and she held the man's hand.

In an instant, it seemed as if someone was screaming, and black flames gushed out from the ground, thick clouds obscured the sky, and blood dripped from the sky like rain, sprinkled onto the ground; the originally withered plants revived, and under the nourishment of blood, they grew bloody branches and flowers.

The little girl stood in this bloody garden, her white long skirt dyed a desolate red by blood rain, beautiful and weird.

At the same time, in the ICU ward, Shirley's body floated in the air, and the things in the room were crushed by a huge force. The bandage on Shirley's body had already turned into powder, and the charred burn on her body was recovering quickly.

The alarm suddenly rang out in the doctor's duty room and the family escort room at the same time. Joanna and Chris brothers suddenly woke up. They ran out of the room and saw Dr. Calvin running over from the other side of the duty.

"What happened?" Chris asked anxiously.

"The sign monitoring system in the ICU ward is calling the police." Calvin said as he ran, "There is something wrong with Shirley."

The four people ran to the ward and met the hospital security guard on the way, carrying a fire extinguisher.

"The fire alarm and circuit monitoring in the intensive care area kept ringing." A security guard asked, "What happened?"

"I don't know." Dr. Calvin frowned, "Let's go there right away."

Shirley's ward was on the other side of the floor, and when they walked through the gate of the intensive care area and came to the corridor where the ICU ward was located, they were all stunned.

The corridor was very dim, the lights and the windows of the ward were shattered, and the glass fragments were scattered everywhere. A little girl stood in the corridor with her back facing them, and her red dress looked weird in the shadows.

"Sherley, is it you, Shirley..." After a brief shock, Joanna recognized that it was her daughter and murmured to walk over.

"Don't." Chris grabbed her, and Joanna stopped and looked at him, not understanding what he meant.

"Not quite right." Chris said, looking at Shirley, the intuition he had formed over the years made him feel dangerous. However, the two security guards who came with him didn't care and walked over with fire extinguishers.

Seeing someone approaching, the girl turned around and was blocked by the security guard. Chris couldn't see what she had done. Then, in just a moment, as if she was being run over by a huge force, the bodies of the two security guards turned into flying minced meat.

Seeing the blood splashed everywhere, the few people were stunned for a moment. Then, Chris, who had reacted first, took out the gun from the holster in his arms, blocking Joanna and his sister behind him. It was not until this time that Joanna and Claire screamed in horror.

Now, Chris faced the girl directly, and she could not see any scars on her body. Then, the girl slowly raised her head and looked at Chris.

At this moment, even Chris couldn't help feeling cold. The girl's appearance was undoubtedly Shirley, but in her eyes, there was a golden blade-like pupil, where there was no trace of human emotion.

"Sherley, Shirley, what's wrong with you?" Joanna looked at her daughter in disbelief. She walked towards Shirley despite Claire's obstruction.

"Sherley" looked at Joanna, and her cold eyes swept over the poor mother. For a moment, Chris could hardly help shooting. However, the girl just glanced at her, and then turned into black smoke in everyone's surprised eyes, dissipated into the shadow.

"No!" Joanna shouted, kneeling to the ground in pain and cried.

"God, what's going on?" Claire was also shocked. Everything that happened just now was far beyond her understanding.

"I'm afraid only God knows the answer." Chris put away his pistol. He had been on the battlefield and dealt with dangerous criminals, but he had never encountered such a situation.

"I think so," Dr. Calvin murmured, holding on his side, and said, "I have only seen such scenes in horror movies. To be honest, my legs are weak."

Claire helped Joanna up, and Chris frowned and looked at the "corpses" of the two security guards. In fact, there was nothing left of the two unlucky guys. The walls and the ground were covered with blood and flesh. Even though Chris was tough in his nerves, he felt a little nauseous.

"We have to call the police." Chris thought for a while.

"What should we say, two security guards were blown to pieces by a little girl in front of us?" Calvin said. "And, I don't think the police can handle this."

"Yeah, I know they are unreliable." Chris frowned, "but at least they should know that maybe we are in big trouble."

Several people left the unpleasant corridor, Calvin ordered the other personnel to leave, and then called the police station. Chris called Jill. It was already midnight, and after a while, Jill's lazy voice came from the other side.

"Hey, Chris?" Jill asked listlessly, "Is there anything wrong?"

"I'm Chris." He said seriously, "Listen, Jill, I'm afraid we're in big trouble." Chris told Jill in detail what happened. After a while, Jill replied.

"To be honest, Chris, if I hadn't known you, I would have felt like you were telling me a ghost story." Jill whispered, "I felt chilling on my back."

"I hope that's just a story, but unfortunately it happened just before my eyes." Chris sighed, "Listen to Jill, I don't think the police in the town can handle this."

"So, you want me to notify the people in the team?" Jill asked.

"Yes." Chris hesitated, "I honestly don't know, I've never encountered such a thing before, maybe it will drag you into danger."

"If there is danger, then we should go there even more." Jill said firmly, "We can't let our comrades face danger alone. I'll call others now, remember to stay in touch, goodbye." After that, Jill hung up.

Chris put down the phone, feeling very complicated. Sherry's injury case during the day had not been clarified, and now such a strange and terrifying thing happened again, which left Chris clueless. He didn't know what to do, and even informed Jill that he was not sure whether it was right. As he said, he didn't know what he was facing, which would probably drag the rest of the team into unknown danger. Chris tried to calm down, recalling all the details, and trying to figure it out; recalling the weird scene just now, he suddenly thought of the crazy woman he met before.

At this time, he heard the sound of the police car. The police quickly received the report. After all, it was a murder case. A lot of policemen came. It was estimated that most of the police in the town police station had come, and the annoying Sheriff Swan also came.

"What exactly happened?" Swan asked with a fat face, a rough voice. Now his subordinates are collecting evidence in the corridor upstairs, while he and another policeman questioned several witnesses of Chris.

Joanna is in a bad state now, so only the Chris and Dr. Calvin were asked. After listening to their words, Swan and the other policeman thought it was ridiculous.

"I said, have you sucked big numb or something?" Swan said bluntly, but the anxiety in his voice could not be concealed. "I think you had hallucinations. Maybe it was an explosion that killed the two unlucky people. As a result, you made up a ridiculous story for me."

"Listen, Sheriff Swan," Calvin said seriously. "I know very well that what we see is not hallucinations, that is indeed happening, although I can't explain everything."

Swan hummed, not talking, not knowing what he was thinking. Chris said seriously: "I think you should report this matter now, we can't handle it."

"Maybe, if needed," Swan said perfunctorily, his panic in his expression became even stronger, "I don't need you to teach me how to do it."

After that, Chris decided to take Claire and Joanna out of the hospital, and it was meaningless to stay there now, and the three of them took Chris' car back to Joanna's house.

"What should I do, Chris," Joanna said helplessly, with a choking voice, "What should I do."

Chris was helpless, but he couldn't show it. He tried to say in a relaxed tone: "Believe me, there will be a way, we will find Shirley."

When talking about Shirley, thinking of those terrible eyes, the three people in the car didn't say anything for a moment.

"By the way, Joanna, I met a strange woman today." Chris hesitated, "she said she was a psychic."

"Psychic?" Claire didn't understand, "You mean witches or something?"

"Probably, it looks weird." Chris frowned, "She said something devilish to me today."

"You believe it?" Claire said uncertainly, "I thought you were an atheist."

"Maybe, who knows?" Chris said helplessly, "have you heard of such a person, Joanna."

"I've heard that she has a shop on the street near the church," said Joanna. "You know, there are always some travelers who are curious, and she makes money by selling crystal balls and other things." She seemed a little uneasy, "What did she say to you?"

"I didn't remember clearly, it was probably some devils coming." Chris said perfunctorily, he didn't want to aggravate Joanna's concerns.

"You mean, Shirley meets the devil?" Joanna said worriedly.

"No." Chris shook his head, "I just think I could know something from her."
