Darkness Comes Death Feast
Chris was driving towards the city center. On the other side, Claire and the other two were not in a good situation. The three of them had been staying in the police station before. Although they were a little disgusted with these police officers, they decided to stay here considering the dangers they might encounter. At least there are many people here and they all have weapons.
But soon, things became a little abnormal. At first, there were only a few policemen quarreling loudly, which turned into group conflicts. Claire and the other two didn't care much. Just as she was wondering whether she was going to return to Joanna's car, a policeman took out his pistol without hesitation and smashed another person's head with one shot.
Claire and the other two were shocked. They never expected this to happen, but what happened next immediately made them feel dangerous - several policemen took out their pistols and fired at others like crazy.
"Let's leave!" Claire pulled Joanna and Ota, bent down and moved out of the aisle next to the hall. Just now, more than half of the police had already lie down on the ground, and the remaining people had empty bullets in the pistols and were fighting each other in the most primitive way, desperately trying to kill others.
"Are these people crazy?" Joanna said in a daze. They were lucky enough not to attract the attention of the police and escaped back to the car smoothly. Claire started the car and drove away from the police station quickly.
"It's that thing, that demon." Ota whispered, his voice involuntarily terrified, "it can disrupt human minds and cause them to go crazy."
"Like it did to Chris?" Claire said, feeling his neck still ached.
"Where are we going now?" Joanna asked uneasily, "we have to find Chris."
"We'd better leave this town." Ota hesitated, "If that thing can drive the police crazy, it can also affect others." She looked at the gloomy sky outside the car window, and the clouds were still thickening. "I can feel the power of the darkness, it's so powerful." She grabbed the necklace in front of her chest with her hands and said tremblingly: "This will be a disaster."
"Damn, Chris' phone can't be reached," Claire said, holding the steering wheel in one hand and the cell phone in the other, "communication is interrupted."
"Be careful." Joanna shouted. From a yard on their left, a pickup truck suddenly rushed over. Claire slammed the steering wheel, but the pickup truck hit the rear of the car. The car lost control and slid to the side of the road. The tires rubbed violently with the ground and made a harsh sound, which was spread far from the quiet street. After a while, Claire struggled to open the car door and staggered out. Fortunately, the rear door was hit, and the rear door was not deformed, nor did he smell gasoline. Claire pulled open the rear door, and Ota's big dog ran out of the car first.
"Are you okay?" Claire asked loudly. "Oh, okay..." Joanna said that neither she nor Ota looked injured, but the violent collision made the two of them a little dizzy. The two struggled to climb out and sit on the ground. Claire was about to check the vehicle further, and the big dog beside him barked fiercely. Claire was stunned for a moment, turned around, and on the other side of the street, a man walked out of the pickup truck that had hit them. After seeing Claire and the others, he walked straight towards them. He was dragging a long-handled axe in his hand, dragging the axe on the ground, making a low friction sound.
"Stop!" Claire shouted, while lifting his gun and pointing it at the guy, "Otherwise I'll shoot." The man ignored Claire's threat and continued to approach them. Then the lights of the car, Claire saw him clearly - the guy was seven feet tall and looked overly strong, wearing tattered jeans and a plaid shirt, and his clothes were covered with dark red blood stains. The guy stared straight at the three women, with a crazy and cruel expression on his bloody face, "Kill... Kill you..."
Claire fired without hesitation, and the bullet hit the man's chest. The nine-mm bullet had good stopping power and directly knocked the man to the ground. But to Claire's surprise, a few seconds later, the man slowly stood up. Claire was a little panicked. She could clearly see the place where the man was shot, blood was pouring out through the bullet holes, and quickly soaked his clothes in a large area, but the man seemed not to be affected. He walked forward slowly but firmly, making a loud breath, as if he was overly excited after taking drugs. Claire raised his gun again, this time she shot the man's head, and the bullet shot from the forehead, making a big hole in the back. This time the man fell straight down, twitching for a moment, and finally stopped moving.
Claire walked carefully to the man and looked at the guy carefully. What he saw made Claire feel nauseous - the man's skin was covered with red cracks, and even the bulging blood vessels and muscles below were exposed, as if the man's skin was about to be cracked from the inside to the outside. "What's going on?" Joanna stood behind Claire and asked nervously and horrifiedly, "Is this person sick?"
"I don't know." Claire said in a deep voice, "but this is absolutely not normal." She subconsciously held the gun in her hand, "It seems that this guy just killed other people, just like those policemen."
"I have a bad feeling," Ota said uneasyly, holding his shoulders.
It was like proof of Ota's words, and bursts of screams, roars and gunshots began to ring in the town. Claire saw people constantly coming out of the house, and at the intersection ahead of them, several figures were fighting together, making crazy howling.
"Go back to the car, hurry!" Claire said, running towards the car. But it was a little too late. Several people had noticed them and ran towards them with a roar.
"Go away." Claire shouted, while starting the car, but the car did not catch fire. Claire tried several times but failed. At this time, several people had already rushed to their car and slapped the window glass like crazy.
"Bang!" A man hit the glass of the rear car window with his head, smashing the glass to pieces. Joanna screamed and Ota avoided the hands that tried to pull them out. Claire turned around and shot out the window, and hit one, but the others rushed up frantically. At this time, the window next to the driver's seat was also smashed, and several hands reached in, trying to drag Claire out. In the entanglement, Claire's pistol fell.
A roar of a car suddenly came. The next moment, a police car drove over to the jeep and knocked the person who was attacking Claire out. The police car stopped a few meters away. Chris rushed out of the car and shot the remaining people with a pistol.
"Claire!" Chris shouted, "Come here."
Claire and the other two ran off the jeep and got into the police car. More and more people flocked to the streets, and then attacked others irrationally. Killing and death spread throughout the town in a crazy way. The four people drove on the streets in police cars, avoiding the crazy crowds - corpses and madmen everywhere, and the blood and shrill wails that filled the air seemed to pull here into hell.
None of the four spoke, depression and silence filled the car. Claire held the gun tightly and stared out the window nervously, Joanna hugged her shoulder uneasyly, staring at the seat in front of her with her eyes blank. Ota closed her eyes and held the necklace on her chest. Her big hound was nestled at her feet honestly, making low whimpers from time to time.
"Why are we okay?" Claire asked suddenly. She looked out the window. There were no more living people on the street. Occasionally, there were a few staggering figures. Seeing Claire and his cars, they struggled to rush over, but they were all avoided by Chris, just chasing the rear of the car in vain and making a non-human howl. Claire turned around and looked at Ota, "Why didn't we become that way."
"She still remembers us, Shirley is still there." It was not Ota who spoke, but Joanna. She said in a low voice but firm manner, as if muttering, "I can feel that my daughter is still there." There was another silence. Outside the car window, the wreckage of several cars was burning, and the dim flames passed through the faces of several people, making their expressions look elusive.
The sky became even more gloomy, and some powerful and unknown force was brewing in the dense clouds. In the church in the middle of the town, darkness filled the chapel. On the candlestick, the flames of the candle emitted a dim light. The priest held a cross, knelt in front of the statue, and prayed silently. The sound of howlings came from outside the church from time to time, as if they were shouts from hell.
The girl in a red dress walked out of the darkness like smoke, and her naked white feet stepped across the ground, leaving footprints with blood. She walked quietly to the pastor and looked up at Jesus on the cross. The dark golden eyes reflected the face that seemed to be merciful to the world all the time.
"Do you see the sins in this world?" asked the girl, and a cold voice sounded from the darkness in all directions, echoing and roaring in the hall. "Disasters and pains, desires and hatreds, no one can break free from this sad mud."
"All sins will be rewarded," said the priest, in a quiet and peaceful manner, "those who believe in him will be redeemed in his kingdom."
"Salvation." A cold voice laughed, and sadness faintly revealed in the laughter, "No one can be redeemed, and no one is qualified to redeem others..."
A sigh seemed to come from the priest, and it seemed to come from the void. The priest just knelt quietly in front of the statue and quietly stopped breathing.
The girl glanced at the dead priest and shook her head slightly. She spread her arms, "Look, the end you can't reach will eventually be stepped on by me."
The clouds above the church began to roll and gather, and a pair of dark golden pupils, like blades, stared at the earth in the dark sky. A huge roar suddenly exploded, roaring between the sky like thunder. A terrifying force spread from the sky, and scarlet blood dripped on the earth like rain. In the square in front of the church, a huge plant broke out from the ground. Under the nourishment of the blood, the fishy red branches grew up wildly, and a huge and weird flower bud was formed at the top of the plant.
The girl appeared quietly in the square, dragging her red dress on the ground, as if she merged with the blood all over the ground. She raised her head and looked at the dark golden eyes in the sky.
