Chapter 017 Quietly asking for a phone number

The streets at night are quiet and there are almost no vehicles coming and going.

The October autumn wind blows on your body, it is not very cold, cool and soft, and occasionally leaves are blown off by the wind and float under your feet.

Lan Nianyun walked alone on the street, and white sneakers walked past the fallen leaves.

"Hi, hey, oh——"

A buzzing sound came on the road.

Lan Nianyun raised her eyes and saw a convertible sports car that was not fast. The roof of the car was opened, and several drunkards stood in the car with bottles of wine, shouting loudly.

The driving man saw a beautiful girl walking alone on the street, so he deliberately slowed down the car.

The drunkards in the car raised the wine bottle to Lan Nianyun and teased, "Hi, girl, let's cheers!"

Seeing this attitude, Lan Nianyun was a little nervous, lowered her head and accelerated her pace.

The drunkards behind them were still laughing and shouting:

"Hey, little girl, don't run away in panic-"

"Come here, don't be afraid--"

"Drink with us, don't go back without getting drunk, haha!"

The screams were mixed with a burst of rapid footsteps, chasing her.

Lan Nianyun's heart beat faster and his pace became faster and faster, but the footsteps behind him were still rapid, and he was getting closer and closer.

After a while, someone came to catch up with her and grabbed one of her arms from behind. Lan Nianyun screamed in shock: "Ah——"

"Cindy, it's me!" A gentle voice fell into his ears, with a little nervousness and concern.

Lan Nianyun turned her head and aimed at Chu Heng's handsome face.

The boy's slender and upright figure was caged under the soft street lights, which immediately gave her a sense of security.

"William, it's you!" Lan Nianyun covered her chest, still feeling a little shocked.

"Well," Chu Heng nodded and glanced in the direction of the sports car, "This road is not very safe, so why not send you home first."

Lan Nianyun looked at him, and saw that the sports car had not stopped and slowly moved away, so she calmed down her heartbeat slightly.

"Thank you." The thanks said, Chu Heng knew that she finally agreed to him leave with her.

"Don't be polite, I'll go with you in the way." He naturally made an excuse.

"Yeah." After responding, Lan Nianyun began to walk side by side with Chu Heng.

The street lights were hazy, making the figures of the two of them look old.

When they turn the corner, their shadows overlap.

Chu Heng held a faint smile on his lips, and he looked at Lan Nianyun at times.

Seeing the night wind lifting her soft hair, under the street light, her eyes were crystal clear and beautiful.

After walking silently for a while, he saw that Lan Nianyun had been silent and didn't say anything, so he took the lead in breaking the silence and asked tentatively: "Cindy, what major are you studying in the Art Academy?"

"Graphic Design." At this moment, Lan Nianyun completely calmed down and answered his question smoothly.

"Is that true?" Chu Heng was a little surprised. Coincidentally, his cousin Jill was also studying this major at the Ontario Academy of Arts.

"How big is it?"

“Middle Year.”

When Chu Heng heard this, he couldn't help but raise his eyebrows.

What a coincidence, Jill is also in his junior year.

He simply stopped asking, thinking that since Jill was Lan Nianyun's classmate, he could always find out her details.

The two walked quietly for more than ten minutes and then arrived at the downstairs of the apartment where Lan Nianyun lived.

"Thank you, just send it here." Lan Nianyun was kind to the point.

"Okay, then I'll leave."

Chu Heng responded softly, and his eyes subconsciously looked up. He saw a twenty-story apartment building in front of him, with a very good location and not far from the University of Toronto. He could reach it in just a dozen minutes.

It would be great if I could rent a house in this apartment, I could be closer to Lan Nianyun and I could still send her back every time I finished the work.

Thinking of this, Chu Heng decided to look for a nearby real estate agent tomorrow to see if there is any available room for rent in the apartment.

Unexpectedly, as soon as he got home, Jill told him good news.

"Brother, I have two classmates who live in the city center who have an empty room for rent. Do you want to go and have a look?"

Chu Heng's heart was thrilled. Somehow he had a premonition. He blurted out, "Your two classmates? Boys and girls? What are your names?"

"Aha--" Jill raised his eyebrows and was proud, "Two beautiful girls, one is Lulu and the other is Cindy!"

Hearing this, a light flashed across Chu Heng's eyes, and his face remained calm, and he asked lightly: "Do you have their contact information?"

Jill immediately took out his wallet from his pocket, took out a note from the mezzanine with a string of phone numbers printed on it, and handed it to him, "This is Lulu's phone number, you can contact her if you have time."

As he said that, he blinked in a weird look and lowered his voice, "Brother, there is something else I want to tell you."

Chu Heng took the note, glanced at it, and quickly remembered the number of ten digits.

He didn't look up and asked directly: "Tell me, what's the matter?"

"It's the girl I like..." Gilton stopped, and he wanted to speak but stopped.

"What, did you ask her for coffee today?"

Jill sighed and shook his head a little annoyed.

Chu Heng smiled, raised his hand and patted his shoulder, comforting him, "It's okay, as long as you take the initiative to propose a date, even if she doesn't agree, at least you will know that you are interested in her, which is equivalent to a change of direction and confession."

"But I haven't even proposed a date with her..." The big and thick boy looked as embarrassed as a girl at this time.

"Full out!" Chu Heng pulled the corners of his lips, "I have to talk to others!"

"I...I'm counting on you!"

"Rely on me?" Chu Heng was stunned.

"Yes," Jill touched his nose and said with a humming voice, "The girl I like is Lulu."

The next morning, Tian Lulu received a call as soon as she got up.

"Oh, it's you!"

"I want to make an appointment to view a house? The faster the better?"

"Yeah, okay, then you can come and see it at 2 o'clock this afternoon!"

"Apartment number? 706, yes, when you arrive, you will click the doorbell of 706 at the gate of the apartment building. I will open the door for you, and you can just take the elevator up."

"OK, see you then."

Lan Nianyun was preparing breakfast in the kitchen. When she heard Tian Lulu talking on the phone in the living room, she walked over and asked, "Lulu, someone is going to see the house so soon!"

"Yes, it's Jill's cousin, from the University of Toronto, studying for a master's degree in the Department of Computer Science, a student from a prestigious university!" Tian Lulu began to look at her eyes again, "I hope she is a handsome guy!"

"You, typical face control!" Lan Nianyun was funny and glanced at her, "Last time you said Jack was super handsome. He liked Jack, and even added WeChat to him, and often played games with him. Why haven't you mentioned him these two days?"

Speaking of this, Tian Lulu immediately opened WeChat, clicked on Jack's big head photo, raised her phone and began to appreciate it, "Jack, I am my god-like teammate! He is also very nice, and he doesn't dislike me at all the tricks of playing games, haha!"

"But," she made another magical turn, "Girls should still be reserved! Since Jack didn't take the initiative to say that he wanted to see me, then let's maintain the relationship between playmates first!"

"Then have you shown your photos for Jack?" Lan Nianyun asked casually.

"Not yet!" Tian Lulu smiled and her eyebrows were bent. She stretched out a finger and shook it, "I won't show him the real photos of me if you don't plan to meet!"

"hehe……"

Lan Nianyun couldn't help laughing at her cute appearance.

It was Tuesday that day, and there was no class in the afternoon, and Lan Nianyun didn't work. After class in the morning, she went back to the apartment with Tian Lulu.

At about two o'clock, the doorbell rang.

It was the door opened by Lan Nianyun.

As soon as the door opened, she was stunned, "William, why is it you?"

Suddenly I remembered the introduction of the restaurant owner. Isn’t Chu Heng a master’s student in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Toronto?

The boy outside the door had a clear eyebrows and a gentle smile, "Cindy, I haven't told you yet, I am Jill's cousin!"

-------------------

The first paragraph of this chapter is written based on Weiwei's own experience.

During the two years when Weiwei studied abroad, she had been working in a Japanese restaurant. It was already past 11 o'clock when she finished her work one night. When she went back, she was waiting for the bus stop alone. She was a little scared, but a convertible sports car came. Several drunk men shouted and laughed. Fortunately, they were just passing by.

However, this incident still makes me feel scared. Safety of international students, especially girls, must be the first priority!

**

In yesterday's answer, two little cuties analyzed it very well, saying that since Chu Heng can encourage Jill so much, he must be the kind of boy who is more proactive. Even if something drunk doesn't happen, he will still catch up with the heroine, and he is open and not afraid of rejection. Therefore, the correct option is A!
