Chapter 184 Going to the Mountain of God
Although Li Qiang has successfully reached three peaks with an altitude of more than 8,000 meters, he still feels incompletely sure of the sacred mountain Meili, which is only more than 6,700 meters above the summit!
The peaks of more than 8,000 meters have been climbed, but the peaks of more than 6,000 meters are difficult to conquer. What is the reason?
From the perspective of modern science, there are five reasons.
The weather is capricious and elusive, which is one of them. Due to the warm and humid airflow in the Bay of Bengal, it drives straight along the Nujiang Canyon and Lancang River Canyon, and the combined influence of the airflow from Tibet south, the weather in Meili Snow Mountain changes rapidly, and the good and bad changes often take more than ten minutes, which is unexpected and difficult to grasp. It can also be said that no rules are the laws of Meili Snow Mountain.
The second is that it is located at a low latitude and poor solidification of snow. Rich precipitation brings deep snow, and the higher temperatures make the snow possible to disintegrate and collapse at any time. Meteorological workers have observed hundreds of observations of Kagbo in one day.
The actual climbing height exceeds Mount Everest, which is the third. Although Mount Everest exceeds Mount Kagbo at altitude of more than 2,100 meters, the base camp is built at an altitude of 5,200 meters. The yaks can carry things to an altitude of 6,400 meters, and the vertical distance from the peak of manpower transportation is only more than 2,400 meters; the actual climbing and manpower transportation distance from the base camp at an altitude of 3,500 meters to the peak is 3,200 meters, which is of course even more difficult.
The terrain and geological structure are the fourth. Every 1 kilometer apart from the top of Kagbo Peak to the entrance of the Mingyong River, the terrain rises by nearly 400 meters, forming nearly vertical slopes. Such steep and steep terrain of the mountain valley is rare in the world. Due to the violent cutting of the mountain, ice-breaking glaciers and ice-burning areas, ice cracks are lined up one after another, so there are dangers and dangers.
The fifth is the fifth one to climb the mountain alone. In the first three times, Li Qiang climbed the mountain with a team, including many experienced veteran climbers and guides who have climbed the mountain several times. This time, Li Qiang was the only one. No one would point it out when Li Qiang made a mistake. No one would know how to climb next. No one would help carry heavy large equipment that everyone can share. Of course, no one knew how to walk this section of the road from the failure of the Sino-Japanese Joint Mountaineering Team last time to the peak.
The Snow Mountain of Meri is worthy of being the forbidden area of the sacred mountain. It repeatedly defeated human attempts to climb to the top of its head. Many snow mountains, including Kagbo and Mintsm, are still the most popular and unattended Virgin Peak. In the 1930s, Dr. Locke, an American scholar who traveled through many famous mountains and rivers around the world, was moved by the magnificence of the Snow Mountain of Meri and praised it as "the most beautiful mountain in the world." During the Anti-Japanese War, an American plane accidentally broke into the forbidden area of the sacred mountain and tried to fly over the top of Kagbo, but fell into a glacier, and the plane was destroyed and people died.
Nowadays, the China Mountaineering Bureau has ordered the ban on climbing Meili Snow Mountain since 1996. One is to maintain the mysterious image of Meili Snow Mountain to attract more tourists, and the other is to take into account the feelings of Tibetans. After all, as a holy mountain of Tibetan Buddhism, Tibetans are extremely resistant to climbing Meili. According to legend, once humans climbed the holy mountain, the gods will leave them and no longer protect them.
If it weren't for the old monk's advice, Li Qiang wouldn't have touched this bad head. Li Qiang firmly believed that even the so-called gods on the mountain would never be the opponent of the old monk, a powerful saint-level existence who was wandering deep in the chaos sea in the universe!
The old monk mentioned to Li Qiang that even the most ordinary saints exist, the power of a single blow is equivalent to the energy released by the sun in one second, and it can evaporate all the oceans on the earth in an instant!
That is a vast ocean! Magellan was once a hero in the minds of many people. The fleet he led set off on September 20, 1519 and completed the first round-the-world voyage of mankind on September 6, 1522. This is a great achievement in the history of world navigation. It also proves that the earth is spherical and proves to mankind that the oceans around the world are connected.
But this vast and boundless ocean and sea spread all over the world will evaporate under the casual blow of the existence of a Saint-level powerful man! Without water, all life on the earth will no longer exist! Life has to begin its evolution for billions of years again.
This kind of power has surpassed the so-called mountain god at least millions and tens of millions of times. Even if there are gods in Meilixue Mountain, they are like ants crawling in front of the old monk. Such a great existence will naturally not be bullied by the so-called mountain god.
After saying goodbye to Meng Qi with tears, Li Qiang carried dozens of kilograms of equipment alone. It was the cold winter month, the weather was colder, the ice and snow were relatively strong, and the number of collapses should be less. If you accidentally set out for the avalanche, Li Qiang would also use the turtle breathing technique to hold your breath and wait for the avalanche to pass before setting off.
On December 1, Li Qiang set out from the 3,500-meter base camp. Three days later, he successfully passed the glacier across the glacier, passed through the difficult-to-stand snow layer, crossed the trumpet-shaped pass above the cliff, climbed up the ice wall, and set foot on December 4, at an altitude of 4,600 meters.
On December 6, Li Qiang entered Camp No. 2, with an altitude of 5,320 meters.
On December 11, Li Qiang arrived at Camp No. 3 in the lower anorn area of Kagbo Peak, where it was 6,100 meters above sea level. On December 12, Li Qiang crossed a large ice wall of nearly 90 degrees, opening the biggest obstacle to reaching the summit.
On December 13, Li Qiang climbed Camp No. 4, at an altitude of 6,300 meters on the right shoulder of the main peak. The sky was clear and the sun was warm and the wind was light. Kagbo was shining, and the silver light was so close!
However, Li Qiang was not blinded by the success so far. He traveled a hundred miles a day. The closer he was to success, the more likely he was to hide a huge murderous intent! Li Qiang still clearly remembered how terrible power he released when the snow mountain got angry in his dream!
Consistent with the original plan, Li Qiang planned to stay in Camp No. 4 for one night and fell asleep, waiting for the old monk's next instructions.
