Chapter 23 Mind

The wind after heavy snow is the most bitter, without the cover of clouds. The wind blows straight down from the horizon like a knife, cutting the tired faces on the city wall, leaving two red marks on countless faces.

Xu Tianjin climbed the city tower on the steps and turned a corner at the stairs. He saw Zhao Zimai standing among a group of yamen runners and soldiers at a glance. He was taller than ordinary people, and his body was straight, so he inevitably looked out of the crowd. Even Xu Tianjin had to admit that this tall figure alone could bring a sturdy aura, exactly the same as his powerful father, let alone the prominent family behind him.

Is this the reason why he hates him? So no matter how humble and obedient he acts in front of him, he still can't like him at all.

Xu Tianjin walked towards Zhao Zi, and his boots stomped the tiles on the city wall, making a "click" sound, but the sound did not attract Zhao Zimai's attention. He was holding a portrait of Zheng Ximing and carefully describing the appearance characteristics of the person in the painting to the yamen runners beside him, and he was fully focused and did not notice his arrival at all.

"Cough..." Xu Tianjin coughed lightly, drawing everyone's eyes on him. He smiled without any kindness, "Prime Minister Zhao Tong, now he finally knows that the person was killed by Zheng Ximing? If I had listened to me two days earlier, I wouldn't have been so panicked."

"I have already started pursuing Zheng Ximing two days ago, and it hasn't started today." Baotian muttered from the side, defending Zhao Zimai.

Upon hearing this, Xu Tianjin sneered, "Prevention and control are in mind, not in others. Punishment Zhao Tong doesn't believe me, the one who is the governor of the government, and he has to make up a lie by himself. He hides it from Lord Tan and I, and find some wise men to solve the case. This is not in line with his master's style at all."

"What Master Gong Cheng taught me is that," Zhao Zimai reached out to stop Baotian, bowed to Xu Tianjin, "I will definitely make up for my mistakes and arrest Zheng Ximing..."

"Mr. Xu, who is the person standing behind you?" Before Zhao Zimai finished speaking, Mu Crooked out of him and whispered lightly at Xu Tianjin. Xu Tianjin felt a layer of cold sweat on his back, and turned around quickly. When he met the pink pupils behind him, he couldn't help but shiver.

"Why are you even afraid of me, a wise man? If you really see a ghost, you will be so scared that you will pee your pants." Sang poked his head out of the darkness, let out a contemptuous sneer at Xu Tianjin, then walked to Zhao Zimai, hugged his arms with both hands, and his face was full of contempt.

Xu Tianjin knew that they had been fooled, but he was not angry in front of the soldiers. He only pointed at Zhao Zimai and said the two words "good". Then he turned around and walked forward along the city wall without looking back. He took two steps and saw that no one in his team was following him and was still stunned. He shouted again, "You guys have legs on the ground, why don't you follow me quickly."

The yamen run forward. Seeing them walking away, Zhao Zimai shook his head and smiled at Sang, "He is doubting you, you are still alive and want to attract his attention, so why bother?"

"He bullies you, the great god, of course, can't stand it." Baotian answered faster than anyone else. After saying that, he even nodded at Sang Yi, "Right?"

Sang did not answer, but also hugged his arms and looked at the ten thousand lights in the city below, as if he could see the gods. The firelight reflected her eyes orange, warm and translucent.

"Is that true?" Zhao Zimai's heart hopped a few times quickly, and finally decided to ask according to Baotian's words.

"What is it?" She finally withdrew her gaze, and her beautiful eyes slid on his face.

"Forget it, nothing." His tone was disappointed, not because it didn't hear it, but because of the indifferent expression on its face. It didn't care about itself, nor about his loss.

Mu Clepton laughed tacitly, "Forget it, patrol first, Mr. Zhao, if you miss the serious matter, you will be scolded by Xu Tianjin again."

Even though his heart was as cold as the cold, Zhao Zimai knew that it was not the time to be sad about spring and autumn, so he nodded, raised his foot and walked forward with a "hmm".

"If he dares to bully you again, I will throw him down the cliff for you."

He finally waited. Although it was used to "for you", it meant only for the sake of doing it, it was enough to stir up storms in his heart.

"Killing a court official is a serious crime." He remained silent, suppressing the throbbing that was about to gush out.

"One is also a kill, two are also a kill, no matter how he is."

The "one" in Sand's mouth certainly refers to his father Zhao Wen'an. Zhao Zimai couldn't help laughing and turned around and turned to her side. His eyes were filled with tenderness, "You don't need to kill me."

Sang stretched out a finger and poked his chest, making his ribs almost broken. "Your life is mine. I will let you live, and let you die, and no one else can interfere."

This was said in a magnificent momentum, but Zhao Zimai knew that it understood it, it understood his disappointment and melancholy, and knew that he had nowhere to express it, so he expressed it in his own way. The whistling wind in his ear seemed to have become softer at this moment. Zhao Zimai pursed his lips and pretended to be serious, "I've agreed that I'll hand over this life to you."

Sang ignored him and walked down the city tower with his steps away. Zhao Zimai followed it down the city tower, as if he was afraid of being left behind by it.

Baotian was confused when he heard this, and his elbow hit Mu Cuzi's waist, "You said one by one, I didn't understand anything."

Mu Crooked his beard and smiled, "These words are not something you can hear, and it doesn't matter if you don't understand them. What's important is that both parties who speak understand."

Baotian became even more confused. He reached out and grabbed his head twice. Finally, he decided to give up. He sighed and followed the few people down the city tower.

The buses came and went downstairs, which was a lively scene. As the end of the year approached, there were many people returning to their hometown to visit relatives and buy New Year's goods. Most of them were in groups of three or five, chattering with their families and cheerful faces. They walked from here as soon as possible while the city gate had not been closed.

Zhao Zimai stood beside Sang, staring at the bustling crowds and carriages with it. He was most afraid of seeing this kind of happy family traveling together since he was a child, because the more beautiful the side was, the more the loneliness he was on was highlighted. But now, he stood here with it, and the loneliness finally disappeared and was far away from him.

A carriage selling oil came in front of me. In order to keep the heat in mind, the oil barrel was covered with straw and covered several layers thickly. The guard guards took Zheng Ximing's portrait and compared it to the driver, opened the oil barrel and looked aside in turn. He didn't find any abnormalities, so he let the carriage enter the city.

When the carriage passed by Zhao Zimai, he sneezes and a white light suddenly flashed through his mind.

"Young Master, have you caught a cold?" Baotian asked with concern from behind.

"No, this smell..." He raised his head and his eyes fell on the carriage that had walked a few feet away.
