Chapter 3 Buying Candles Again

The closing of the door at sunset is the rule of the grocery store.

Su Ran looked outside and saw that other shops were still snatching this prime time, but he had already yawned and closed the door.

When other shops saw Su Ran’s lazy appearance, they originally wanted to congratulate him when they opened a new store, but they gave up. They were so lazy, I believe that they would close the door soon after they opened.

How can I get up if I open a breakfast shop?

Xiao Ling was in a very chaotic mood. The clues that appeared made her feel that this life case was so foggy that she couldn't help but come here again, hoping to get more things.

However, it is impossible for bustling streets to get useful things again.

Just so happened that Xiao Ling saw Su Ran close the door.

"So early?" Xiao Ling was puzzled. It was just sunset now, and the next time was the time when the crowds were at get off work. The grocery store was closed. Seeing Su Ran yawning like that, she looked extremely lazy, forget it, I hope he could hold on for a few more days.

It was already dark and the street lights were on.

But there are more and more people on the street, including couples coming and going, street stalls sold, and various snacks that tempt the human taste. It has to be said that the night view of the city is more tempting than during the day.

Xiao Ling took a deep breath and wanted to find useful clues in such a place, so she left.

In the blink of an eye, it started raining again in midnight for some reason.

A man walked down the street with a black umbrella and came to the front of the grocery store.

He raised his hand, hesitated, and then knocked on the door and knocked continuously.

"Okay, okay," Su Ran's impatient voice, "I'll break the blame for what I want to accompany you."

Open the door and glanced at the black umbrella, "Unfortunate."

The man who came here was a man in his 1930s, with a straight suit, looking like an urban elite, wearing black-framed glasses, looking very gentle, and smiled at Su Ran, "Boss, I'm sorry for disturbing him late at night."

"Okay," Su Ran was really unhappy when she was woken up, "Tell me, what do you want?"

“A candle.”

Su Ran's eyes moved, "Is there anyone using candles now?"

"Ah?" The man was obviously panicked. He didn't expect Su Ran to ask this question. It shouldn't be like this. "Oh, that, when you come in, you often have power outages, so you want to prepare some candles for emergency treatment."

"Oh," Su Ran said casually, taking out two red candles, "This one is good, not only cheap but also affordable, two for five yuan."

The man looked at the red candle in front of him and smiled bitterly. This was not what he wanted, "Boss, is there any other candles? For example, white."

"There are white ones, but it's a little expensive."

"It's okay, it's okay, I'm going to be in vain." The man shouted anxiously.

Su Ran took out a white one, "Ten yuan."

The man looked ugly, "Boss, I don't want such a candle."

"I only have these two types here, you want the others, I really don't have them."

The man was a little anxious, his face turned red, and he looked at Su Ran, clenched his fists, "Boss, I only want one candle, the kind of candle that can be used below."

Su Ran looked at the man, "Who gave you the black umbrella, and who asked you to come to me to buy candles?"

The man was reluctant to say more, "I understand your rules, I can't answer them. And if I have a black umbrella, you have to sell me things."

"Yes, I understand the rules," Su Ran said, "Yes, I must sell any black umbrellas when they come here, but I have to set the price. If you can't afford it, I can't sell it."

The man gritted his teeth, "Boss, what do you want?"

"A hundred years of life!"

"I'll give it to you!"

"Haha," Su Ran chuckled, "I look at your body. Even if it is free from disasters, no diseases or pain, it is only about eighty years old. You are already forty years old this year, and you are barely thirty left. How can you give me a hundred years?"

"I, me," the man was at a loss. The next moment, the man pounced and knelt down at Su Ran, "Boss, I beg you, I just want a candle, you can take everything from me, I just want to see my daughter again."

Su Ran's eyes moved, "Your daughter?"

"Yes, my daughter is dead."

Su Ran looked at the man, "Do you have a photo of your daughter?"

The man was stunned. He didn't know why Su Ran wanted a photo, but he didn't care. He took out his phone and turned it on. The screensaver was a girl about ten years old. He smiled happily, the sun was shining and very cute.

Su Ran nodded, "Well, for your sake as a father, I will only take you ten years of life." As he said that, he took out a candle and stretched out his hand.

"Thank you, thank you." The man took the candle excitedly and held Su Ran's hand.

After a moment, the man left, Su Ran looked at the man's back and silently closed the door.

The man walked on the street, holding a black umbrella, holding a candle tightly in his hands, as if he was holding a life-like existence. His steps were very fast, not afraid, but excited and impatient.

Suddenly, under the dim street light, a huge black shadow flashed by.

The man was startled and looked around in fear, and found that there was nothing, but fear had already arisen in his heart. After observing for a while, he continued to move forward.

The next moment, a wild beast roared and a huge black bear roared out, its body was huge, twice the size of an adult black bear, but its speed was extremely fast. It instantly came to the man and waved it with a fierce palm.

The man was obviously stunned by such a terrifying black bear, widened his eyes, stood there motionless, and didn't even scream.

The sharp claws of the black bear and the huge force, the man will definitely die at this moment!

The next moment, Su Ran suddenly appeared and blocked the man's face, his eyes cold, and he slashed out with a knife in the face of the black bear's heavy bear's powerful bear's paw!

With a shrill scream, the huge bear paw was cut off with a knife and flew out.

The black bear glanced at Su Ran in the pain and ran away at a very fast speed.

Su Ran did not chase after him, and the knife in his hand was gone. He turned around and looked at the man, "Go back quickly, it's not safe here," he stretched out his hand, "Give me the umbrella, it's safer for you."

The man came back to his senses from the huge black bear at this time, his face was pale, his body trembled, and he was full of horror. "Okay," he gave Su Ran a black umbrella and took a few steps, "Boss, thank you."

Su Ran held an umbrella and watched the man disappear under the night before picking up the fallen bear paw, "This is a good thing, just make it a big replenishment."

Su Ran returned to the upper and lower grocery store.

But what Su Ran didn't notice was that just after he went back, Xiao Ling walked out at a corner in the distance. If she hadn't seen it with her own eyes, she wouldn't have believed what she had just seen.

Originally, I just had insomnia, so I came here to take a walk around. Who would have thought that I would have seen such a thing? Xiao Ling took a deep breath and looked at the grocery store. After hesitating for a long time, she turned around and left.
