Five hundred and fortieth chapters thriving

Mid-December.

Due to the inconvenience of travel in the snow-covered area, almost all production activities have temporarily stopped. Wells Province, which had been busy for a whole year, finally received a temporary rest.

The new leaders at the bottom of the country suspended the heavy task of land reclamation and were crowded in the simple shacks that could still cover the wind and snow in the newly built settlements, or quietly waiting for the clear soup and wheat paste that could barely fill the house.

A little northward, most of the entourage residents who came to the Wells Valley earlier than them had already allocated land. They harvested the first round of grain this fall. Since Wells Province did not impose any taxes in the first year, the entourage residents had a little surplus grain. So while they were full, occasionally some people could use the surplus grains in their homes to exchange for some beer, meat jerky and other food to improve food. Some families with long-term plans also used the surplus grains in their hands to hire young and strong people in the village to help strengthen their houses.

From the perspective of the Walesburg Workshop District, the world here is different. The workshop family area, where more than 200 families of craftsmen live in concentrated areas.

This is basically the wealthiest group in Wells Province except for the families of officials at all levels of the military and government governments. They were not only the early citizens of the Wells Valley, but more importantly, there were people working in various workshops in their families. The salary was not comparable to that of ordinary people. For these families, food and clothing are no longer a problem that needs to be worried about. How to make yourself live a more comfortable life is the most important thing at hand.

With the workshop area as the center, more and more houses have been established on the surrounding large valleys and flat ground. Some of them are chessboard-shaped, some are stripes along the river, and there are also many small settlements distributed in scattered areas.

No matter which one is it, it has already been issued a scale, with farmland and villages intersecting, roads and rivers parallel. Most of the villages are made of wooden buildings. Although most of them are single-room buildings, they are neat and uniform, which is particularly pleasing to the eye. Most of the farmers who occasionally go out of the houses are dressed thickly and have a rosy complexion.

Looking further north, five most primitive villages led by Kutim and the valley land appeared.

These are the real primitive residents of the entire Wells Valley. They have not already owned enough fertile land and harvested crops of food. Many people have served in the army and government affairs, becoming the real backbone of the entire Wells Province.

A road parallel to a river and three vehicles has strung together all the settlements in the entire valley into a chain, and the core part of this chain is still the valley wood fort.

Due to terrain restrictions, economic and military factors, the valley wood fort stopped after three rounds of expansion.

The infrastructure part of Wellsburg next to the workshop area has been completed, and now it is just a final interior decoration. The core of the entire Wells Province will be transferred to Wellsburg sooner or later, and the core status of the Valley Wood Fort will also decline, so the government has not continued to plan and expand.

However, as the historical starting point of this valley, the prosperity here will continue.

Regardless of the later, this place is definitely the most prosperous place in the Wells Valley at present, with hundreds of mansions, thousands of residents, lords’ mansions, government offices, high-ranking military and political officials’ mansions, the largest hotel, the largest shops and endless caravans and leaders.

The heavy snow in the sky did not seal the place, and the prosperity and excitement remained...

On the second floor of the lord's mansion in the Wooden Fort, Yat, who had been working all night, slept for a whole morning. It was not until noon that the servant warmed up the prepared lunch again, and he was pulled out of the bed by Lotti.

Yawning, stretching and pushing open the wooden doors of the bedroom and balcony, half-squinting his eyes to adapt to the snowy world, Yat climbed on the wooden railing and looked around the valley wooden fort that has now become a small city, watching the children playing and playing in the snow and the leaders hurried into the tavern shops wrapped in thick clothes.

Just add one sentence, it’s really good, it’s worth pretending. After all, you can cache reading and read offline!

Outside the wooden fort, in the camp of the Wells Garrison Corps, although the regular peasants suspended high-intensity training, they still carried out the same running as usual. A team of peasants wearing thick animal-wool coats and holding short spears and hunting bows toward the forest.

All of this in his eyes made a smile hang on the corner of his mouth.

When the servant cleaned up the bed, Lotti had already arrived at the balcony with a toothbrush and a cup of hot water.

It's no wonder that this piece made of treated pig's temples and wooden handles is indeed Yat's intellectual property.

Yat took the toothbrush and water cup and asked, "Why did you do it yourself? Where is Oli?"

Lotty glanced at Yat and said angrily: "Who is there a master like you? I took my husband away for a month or two without a word. Wouldn't you let everyone get together?"

"I gave Oli a few days to rest and ask her to go back and take care of Ron."

Yat put a small pair of salted toothbrush into his mouth and said vaguely: "Ron is married to Oli, and it's time to go home and have a son for Ron. The mansion is not short of servants. Besides, Oli is now a bauble, and it's really not suitable to continue doing what she does."

"I mentioned it to Oli several times, but she just refused to go back, saying that she was worried that I would not be with me."

"To be honest, Oli has been with me for more than ten years, and I really can't live without her."

Yat picked up the cup and took a sip of hot water, rinsed a few sips, and spit the water into the open space under the mansion. "You are in charge of internal affairs, so you will not treat her badly anyway."

Yat remembered something and said, "I plan to build a new audit office in the Government Office. The inspector of the Wells Corps is specifically responsible for auditing and supervising various functions of the Government Office, especially financial affairs at all levels. I want you to do this audit office in person? How?"

"Now I manage the Wedding and Funeral Ceremony in Wells Province, the Relief of the People, the Aristocratic Relations and other internal affairs. You have to be responsible for auditing the entire government, but you will plan."

Yat hugged Lotti, "You have helped me with internal audit before, but now you are just officially appointed as the chief officer of the Audit Office. Who makes you so beautiful, charming, smart and capable..."

"master."

His mouths were almost pressed together, and Ron's knock on the door sounded outside the bedroom.

"This guy, why are you running here when you're not at home with Oli?" Lotty complained.

Yat reluctantly let go of Lotti's hand tightly, returned to the bedroom and opened the door.

"What's so panicked?"

Ron glanced at the bedroom and saw that there was no one but Mrs. Lotty, so he took out two notes, "Master, a secret letter from the north is here, I just translated it."

Yat took two small notes, one of the character cipher text written in Roman numerals, and the other of the general text Ron just transferred.
