Chapter 24 The White Horse

"The fire was so burning that I saw it several miles away. Even the two adjacent shops were burning together. Thanks to the timely rescue, no one was hurt, otherwise the consequences would be unimaginable."

"It must be Hua Gu's fraud," Cheng Muyou blew the juice of the bunch of grapes in his hand, "and sent someone to check the old man who bought the coffin. He was probably Hua Gu's man."

Shi Jin agreed to retreat. Cheng Muyou stood in the yard for a long time, but he did not throw away the crushed grapes in his hand.

"What a difficult opponent." Yan Niang's voice came from the opposite side, and Cheng Muyou was stunned. Only then did she remember that she had been standing there and witnessing the whole process from panic to dust.

"It's not just difficult to deal with. She is simply relying on the people behind her and is fearless. Such a person can do something that others dare to think but dare not do to the extreme, because she knows that I can't do anything to her at all." His tone was quite discouraged.

"So sir is ready to give up?"

Cheng Muyou raised his head, and his eyebrows were still stoic. "I will fight with her. If I lose this step, I will take another step. There will always be a day when this bright world will be turned around," he patted his sticky palm, "But these grapes are broken. Miss Yan, can you give me another bunch?"

Several servants lifted the screen into the door and placed it straight in front of the room. On the moon-white silk cloth, several blood-red flowers were desperately stretching their long petals and sucking goose-yellow stamens. They were so beautiful, but they still couldn't arouse the favor of those people. The servants all had numb scalps and different eyes, but they didn't dare to say it when they saw Hua Gu's proud and joyful look. It was not until they left the door that the brothers and the others began to whisper.

"Did you feel something is wrong?"

"It's not just something wrong. I was so scared that I almost ran away. Why is this thing so cold? The cold air pierced into the bones. I don't know where my aunt got such a thing."

"It's not just cold. I just seemed to hear someone following behind me and muttering something, but when I turned around, I didn't even see a shadow of half a person."

Huagu was drinking a small wine while admiring the screen in front of her. She had just let out anger and felt proud. She didn't notice that the girls who were still surrounded by her had gone upstairs one by one, leaving her and Aunt Zhu sitting in this luxurious hall.

"Tomorrow, find a lion dance team to come over, make a good mess at the door, and then let the girls stand in front of the door. I believe that the old and young men will be greedy and will come to the door soon." Hua Gu's cheeks were covered in red, and she was full of alcohol and ordered Aunt Zhu beside her.

"All arrangements have been made. Let's keep it here tomorrow." Aunt Zhu poured her another glass of wine, "But, there is Xin'an Mansion..."

"I have arranged for the old man to leave overnight. He can't even dig three feet into the ground."

"Auntie is a clever idea. County Magistrate Cheng is young and is not your opponent."

Hua Gu grinned, "That young boy, always against me. When I get the opportunity, I will definitely deal with him..."

"Ye'er..." A few horses neighed out of the window. Huagu burped and asked in a daze: "Why did the horse run out of the shed? Hurry up and drove it back."

Aunt Zhu shouted outside a few times, but found that no one answered, so she had to walk out by herself. She saw a white horse under the moonlight, which was squirting and sneering, and then cursed towards it, took the reins and walked towards the backyard.

"These lazy things, one or two of them died. When I find them, I will let them have a good whip." Thinking of this, she kicked the horse hard on the belly, and the beast screamed in a heavy breath, and then she felt relieved.

When he arrived at the stable, Aunt Zhu kicked the door and kicked the horse's butt again, but the horse stomped its hooves and stood there without moving. Aunt Zhu was annoyed and lifted up her skirt to look at its round butt. The horse just screamed, but still stayed in front of the door and refused to move forward.

Aunt Zhu looked into the stable and found that the wooden basin where the horse was drinking water was dry and there was no drop of water. She realized that it ran out of the stable because of thirst. She couldn't help but shout and scold, "Damn things, all the feet are rotten, and even the water will not be added." She walked to the well on the side, pulled the water from the bucket well, and took great effort to drag it to the white horse's mouth, "Drink, drink, drink, drink, you little beast to death."

The white horse saw the bucket and was indeed energetic. It buried its head in the bucket, drank it gulp, and drank half of the bucket of water in one breath.

"I'm full? Are you happy to go back now?" Aunt Zhu saw the horse raise his head, opened the stable again, and kicked it in the butt.

"It hurts, be gentle."

A familiar voice came, which scared Aunt Zhu so much that she stood there and didn't dare to move.

"Who? Who is it?" After a while, she turned around and looked around, "Who is talking?"

As if responding to her, the white horse screamed, "Even if I come to the wrong place, I can't be abused by you so much. What kind of evil did our father and daughter have committed in their previous life? They both ended up being no one collecting the body."

Aunt Zhu's mouth opened in a circle and couldn't close it for a long time. In the wet Xia Ye, her back was cold, and her calves couldn't help but tremble, and she almost knelt on the ground.

"Are you... Zhang... Zhang Dahu?"

The white horse did not answer this time. Its four hooves inlaid with horseshoes were stepping on the ground, raising up waves of dust. Aunt Zhu saw that the head of the white horse was reflected in the wooden barrel in front of her, but that was not a horse. Its head seemed to be Zhang Dahu's scarred head. His eyes were slightly raised and he looked at himself with his eyes slanted.

The next morning, Aunt Zhu's body was discovered by the people from Qifenglou. She was lying in the stable, covered with scars, obviously being stepped on by the horse's sharp hooves, but the cause of her death was not these injuries. Her mouth was filled with horse manure, and her entire mouth was wide open, and her eyes were suddenly protruded from her eye sockets. Just like Zhang Dahu's way of death, she was choked to death by horse manure.

The servants who witnessed her death were so scared that they were out of their minds. Huagu calmly asked them to temporarily move the body to the cottage in the backyard and then transport it to a remote place to deal with it at night. She was afraid that Aunt Zhu's death would affect the business of Qifenglou, so she wanted to completely suppress the news of her death.

In a hurry, Hua Gu didn't notice the undead flowers on the screen. They seemed to be monsters that had been full of blood. The petals were full and slender, and they were emitting a wave of strange white light.
