1500 Movie Glamour

When watching "gravity", Roger's figure appeared in Michael's mind at the first time.

Unlike the "Drunk Village Folk Song", this time it is not because of the theme and core of the movie, but because of the charm given to the movie by Alfonso, the charm that belongs only to the movie screen.

Michael was sure that Roger would definitely applaud the movie, the light and shadow, the composition, the performance, the philosophy, the immersive texture... everything is interpreting the unique charm of the movie.

Perhaps "gravity" is not perfect, but the unique charm it presents is dazzling, even more moving and wonderful than "Hugo", because Martin Scorses tells a story about a mysterious movie, while Alfonso Caron presents all the reasons for the mysterious movie on the big screen.

Every real movie fan should enter the cinema and enjoy the ninety-one-minute world of light and shadow. Even if he doesn't like this kind of movie or this movie at all, the enjoyment of watching movies is irreplaceable, even surpassing "Avatar" and truly pushes the visual art of film and sensory art to the extreme.

What's more, there is the amazing Lanley.

Just thinking about Roger Ebert's expression after watching "gravity", Michael couldn't help but want to give applause along with him, venting his inner excitement and excitement.

In fact, Michael had already given him the highest praise at the Cannes Film Festival, "The best performance in his career!"

That is definitely not just a casual talk. Michael is not a film critic who gives "best" praise if he likes to move, but if he thinks so sincerely, he will not be stingy with his appreciation. In the "Drunk Country Songs", Renli gave Levien Davis a thrilling soul. Even now, Michael can still clearly recall Levien's lonely and desolate eyes.

Objectively speaking, Michael still likes Renli's performance in "Drunk Country Folk Songs", which is more restrained and delicate. From the eyes to the lines, Renli's performance texture is vividly displayed; but Michael must also admit that the performance in "gravity" is more difficult and profound. Those inadvertent small details give the characters more connotations worth exploring, echoing the movie, and then sublimating the theme.

In terms of difficulty and completion alone, the performance of "gravity" is even better!

After finishing watching the movie, Michael thought about it over and over again for a long time, but finally chose to write.

"This year at Cannes, I once said that the Coen brothers chose Renley to play Levien Davis, which was the perfect choice; now in Venice, I will say again that Alfonso Caron chose Renley to play Ryan Stone, which was the perfect choice.

There are countless top actors in the entire Hollywood today. I believe that those outstanding actors can give Ryan Stone a different charm, but none of them are Renly Hall.

In Renli's performance, his eyes were undoubtedly delicate and mixed. The vicissitudes of life and the storm were all filled with those light brown pupils. Renli was undoubtedly profound and clever about the character's understanding of the plot and life. The most impressive scene in the movie - this is the difficulty of not completing the selection, but Renli showed the mystery of disillusionment and birth in two different scenes.

From hope to despair, and from despair to rebirth, all the weight falls into one look. It seems simple, but it is as powerful as a tremendous amount; it seems ordinary, but it is full of vicissitudes. Ryan Stone, who is hidden behind that sacrificial pie, carries all the meaning of life.

Yes, this is the shell of a popcorn movie. A simple story can even be summarized in one sentence. Even the beginning, inheritance, transformation and transition are completely in the framework rhythm of a commercial movie; but this is full of the connotation of a philosophical and artistic movie, and the complex and profound thoughts are all in Renli's performance, and those thoughts about the birth of life and existentialism are all carried in it.

Even after savoring it, Renly Hall's performance still has the energy of soul baptism!

Is this the best performance of Lanli's career? I don't want to assert it again, but give it to the audience for comments and feedback; but this is undoubtedly the most breakthrough challenge in Lanli's career, and he has once again proved his talent and ability. Egot may be too crazy or too fast, but no one can deny his excellence, which makes people jealous and crazy.

Thank God, He lives (he-is-alive).

After hesitation, Michael once again gave Renley an unparalleled praise, and his last sentence was even more pun intended. On the one hand, it implies the survival of Ryan Stone, and on the other hand, it implies that Renley Hall is the most outstanding actor in the contemporary era.

Overall, Michael's reaction seems not as crazy as Cannes, but after reading it carefully, you can notice in the sharp lines that Michael's love and appreciation for Renli has reached a new level. Perhaps his personal favorite is still the "Drunk Village Song", but Renli is indeed the best actor in the contemporary world! The classic "gravity" is still undeniable!

It is no exaggeration to say that, on a comprehensive perspective, "gravity" is Lan Li's most outstanding work so far, and can even reach a classic height that has been recorded in history.

After writing the comment, Michael couldn't help but think of Roger again. He could imagine how Roger would choose and evaluate it.

"I love his performances, but I won't go crazy. Why do Hollywood always like that kind of exterior performance now? Gravity has created more ups and downs in plot turning points, giving the performance space to release and deepening levels. Does this mean it is better? Only those who truly understand movies and love movies can understand how excellent Lan Li's performance in the "Drunk Village Ballad".

But… I can’t deny that the performance of ‘gravity’, Lanli is still jealously outstanding, and age doesn’t seem to be his hindrance. I can’t believe what I missed, missed ‘Drunk Country Songs’, and missed ‘gravity’, God, I’m really starting to miss those years on Earth now.”

Once upon a time, Michael and Roger had already looked forward to Lanley's career. They were both worried that the light of Egot would make Lanley gradually lose herself - it was still March, so Roger sincerely hoped that Lanley would not complete the feat of Egot because he really looked forward to the young actor creating more glory.

But now, after Egot was in his pocket, Renli was still moving forward steadily step by step. Roger should be relieved and regretful. The heart that loves movies was unable to continue to beat.

The night in Venice in the water city was filled with cold and bright moonlight, but Michael's thoughts began to roll. He couldn't help but start thinking: What would happen if Renley won the Oscar winner this year?

He knew that this idea was too ridiculous. Not to mention that Renly had just turned 24 in two months, just saying that he had just reached the top for the first time two years ago and achieved the egot feat within three years, this has already made Renly reach the peak of Hollywood. It is definitely too hasty and too eager to reach the second score now.

Even Michael himself doesn't want this. He is more willing to choose other actors - not because Renly is too young, but because the performances of other actors can be richer and more outstanding. After tossing and turning, he only sees one face, which is not a good thing for the entire film industry.

But Michael still couldn't help but paint that scene in his mind, and Roger's complaints. Unconsciously, the night became darker and deeper, and the slow waves and the cold moonlight were lingering in the aroma of coffee. This was another sleepless night, and it was an exciting night for the movie.

Maybe, he should pour a cup of whiskey.

After writing the full review, Michael gave him a full score of 100 without hesitation.

Although the four-star full score system in the official magazine of the Venice Film Festival is the same as in Berlin and Cannes; because "gravity" did not participate in the main competition unit, the critics still completed the score and comment on the usual percentage system.

Don’t think that full-score comments are everywhere on the streets. In fact, this is Michael’s third personal full score this year. The first is “Adele’s Life”, the second is “Drunk Village Folk Song”, and now it is the third one. Rare means caution and professionalism, and it also means precious.

It clearly expresses Michael's personal admiration and love for "gravity".

The review of "Hollywood Reporter" has received countless praises and feedback because it has no spoilers and is profound enough to carry out overwhelming publicity and dissemination in North America.

Later, the editor-in-chief of the magazine signed up for Michael the Pulitzer Prize and sent fifteen articles including this review. Although he was unable to win the award in the end, this became an important opportunity for Michael to take the lead in the field of senior film critics.

Film critics people’s feelings and dreams are also their source of enthusiasm.

Returning to the premiere of "Georgeous" in Venice, "Hollywood Reporter" is just the beginning. With the first media commentary, all other film reviews have also begun to be announced one after another. Although the organization and summary of the official magazine were lacking, under the expectation, the audience still actively searched for relevant information and gradually pieced together the whole picture of the matter.

The main competition unit of the 70th Venice Film Festival has not officially debuted, but the "gravity" that kicks off the opening film has triggered a frenzy of praise from media comments. Full marks! Full marks! Still full marks! It is rare to see that this opening work above commercial attributes has received all the full marks!

The full fifteen full marks made people truly feel the surging heat waves in Venice.
