1920 Perfect Ending
Things gradually became clear, and as Cooper slowly calmed down from infinite loneliness and disintegration, all the ins and outs became clear.
It is the future human beings. In the distant future, "they" knew the devastating blow that the earth had faced, so they placed a wormhole next to Saturn, so they found a black hole next to the planet, so they established this five-dimensional space in the black hole, guiding Cooper to come here, and then completed the plan to save humanity, and change the time that "can never flow back" through the time and gravity of the black hole. If time cannot flow backwards, then they will travel to the past in the future, and then change the future in the way of changing the past.
The “them” that Professor Brand calls them is actually them themselves.
It was him who sent a signal through gravity here, suggesting the coordinates of NASA, but the real goal was not for Cooper but for Murphy, because he could send the coordinates of the black hole singularity back through gravity here, and then Murphy could solve the equation left by Professor Brand, so that the first solution could be implemented again, and the humans on Earth could have a glimmer of vitality again.
It's his Murphy.
Murphy finally discovered the secret of the watch, raised the watch high and rushed out of his room, shouting to the angry Tom, "He is back, it turns out that it has always been him. I didn't know it before, but that's him! Dad will save us." Then, Murphy hugged Tom tightly.
Graham's tears have completely broken down. It was love that made Brand fly towards the planet where Edmons is; it was love that allowed Cooper and Murphy to defeat time and space to connect with each other again; it was love that allowed the humans on Earth to have hope again in the end of the world.
What a cliché and rigid story core, it can even be said to be a sensational chicken soup for the soul, but at this moment, Graham looked at the scene and Murphy gradually showed a firm look. He was so similar to Cooper, but he was crying. The warm and tenacious power made him completely disarm.
Murphy understood the signal from her father, and she found the singularity of the black hole.
Then, the five-dimensional space in the black hole began to collapse.
In the twists of time, Cooper saw Brand again
When the interstellar travel was just in its beginning stages, Brand was first exposed to the huge impact caused by black holes. Brand once tried to touch those twisted images in the gaps of distorted space-time; in fact, those images were Coopers of the present. They broke the barriers of space-time and space between the past and the present and completed the "alien et"-style communication for the first time.
The black hole disappeared, Cooper also lost consciousness, floating near the wormhole next to Saturn, and then, humans appeared in the distance to come to rescue.
When he opened his eyes again, Cooper was already in a hospital with all whiteness, which gave Cooper an incredible illusion. The only idea in his mind was a "dream". He was now dead, and all the scenes he saw at this time were dreams he imagined, which was the only explanation.
But the doctor standing at the end of the bed was trying to explain it all, "Slow down, Mr. Cooper. Remember, you are no longer a young man, in fact, you are one hundred and twenty-four years old now."
Cooper's lips rose gently, a little self-deprecating, and a little joking, as if he thought the other party's joke was really good. He stood up slowly, came to the window, opened the curtains, and prepared to see with his own eyes what was going on.
"Get up slowly, sir. You are very lucky. When the Ranger arrived, your oxygen supply was only last few minutes left." The doctor's voice was still ringing in his ears.
Cooper had already seen the scene outside the window, the teenagers playing baseball, and then the whole city rolled up towards the sky like a roll, and houses and streets could be seen above his head. Such a strange scene made Cooper full of confusion. He finally said the first sentence, "Uh... cough cough..." Because he hadn't spoken for too long, his voice was a little hoarse, "Where am I?"
"Cooper Space Station," the doctor said, "is currently orbiting Saturn." This space station is not named after Cooper, but after Murphy.
At this moment, Cooper remembered, "Is she still alive?"
"She will arrive here in two weeks." The doctor nodded and gave a positive reply. "She is too old and is no longer suitable for traveling between space stations, but when she heard about it, she discovered you... She is Murphy Cooper!"
From the doctor's words, Cooper could taste the respect and admiration, which made Cooper's smile rise up, and there was a ray of pride in the depths of his eyes, and his head was light, "I think so."
Murphy rebuilt cornfields and his childhood home in Cooper Space Station. All the furniture and environments are exactly the same as Cooper’s memory, as if he had never left. The only difference is that the house has now become a museum dedicated to people visiting.
Two weeks later, Cooper met Murphy again, but learned that he was about to face a big family. When he opened the ward door, he saw strangers in the room, from the elderly to the children, standing bustlingly all over the room, all around the hospital bed, waiting for a white-haired old man.
Cooper's steps paused for a moment, staring at the old man on the hospital bed, his eyes flashed slightly, but he didn't know what to react. Then she was already sobbing. She stared at Cooper with longing, tremblingly stretched out her left hand with the watch, and carefully poked towards Cooper.
On the hospital bed, it was an old man who seemed to be slowly passing by. His sparse hair and wrinkled face clearly recorded the traces of time.
Next to the hospital bed was a vigorous young man. Cooper looked a little tender after shaving all his beards.
But the old man is the daughter and the young man is the father. This dislocation creates a wonderful and moving atmosphere between the two.
Cooper held Murphy's left hand and placed it on his cheek and rubbed it gently. The faint light in his eyes turned into tears. He raised the corner of his mouth and said jokingly, "Tell them I like farming?"
This immediately made Murphy laugh.
"It's me, Murphy, I'm your ghost." Cooper said softly.
Murphy's eyes showed a satisfied look, "I know. They didn't believe me. They thought I had done all this myself, but I know who the credit is." She raised her left hand and showed her watch to her father, just as her little daughter wanted to get praise. She raised her chin.
Cooper raised his right hand and tried to stroke/touch Murphy's head, but his right hand paused for a moment, revealing a hint of hesitation, and finally fell down carefully.
Murphy showed a comfortable expression, "None of them believed me, but I know you will definitely be back."
"How do you know?" Cooper asked.
Murphy smiled brightly, "Because my father promised me."
Cooper's eyes turned red again, "I'm here now."
But Murphy shook his head, "No, no father should watch his children leave. My children are here now, you should leave."
"Where?" Cooper's voice was trembling slightly. The person in front of him was obviously the closest person he was, but the gap in time cruelly divided them. Even if he returned to his home, those people in the home were no longer there, and he was still alone.
That loneliness flashed in Cooper's eyes.
"Brand." Murphy gave an unexpected answer, "She is still there, building a camp; alone, in a strange galaxy, maybe she has now built a new home, bathed in the new sunshine."
Brand arrived at Edmons' planet, but Edmons was no longer there. Although humans had established different space stations around Saturn, Brand did not choose to come back, but stayed on Edmons' planet and continued to build a base suitable for human survival.
Alone.
Brand and Cooper, both survived, but both of them were alone. The separation of Yin and Yang made Brand stay in the world alone, and time and space separated Cooper from the world of Tom and Murphy. Therefore, the two people who had experienced all of that became the last support for each other.
Only they can understand each other, everything else has nothing to do with them, just like another world.
That loneliness, that kind of loneliness, that kind of confusion made their souls at a loss. Even though Cooper had returned to Murphy, there were a group of strangers around Murphy's bed, strangers who were related by blood but not ties with family. Cooper was the same as Brand.
So, Cooper stole a vehicle in the middle of the night with the repaired ta, and embarked on the journey again, heading to Edmons' planet to find Brand. Two lonely souls built their own home on a brand new planet.
Cooper sat in the driver's seat, his calm eyes without any fluctuations or light, like the deep darkness, as if there was no starlight at all. He started the aircraft step by step and headed towards the unknown flight in the distance. In a trance, he seemed to have returned to the distant past again:
At that time, his aircraft lost control and crashed, and then he became a farmer, had to create a new life in the end of the world, and now he has entered a whole new cycle again.
But Cooper had no fear or any worries. His calm eyes burst out with a calm and inclusive calmness. He could vaguely capture a trace of loneliness and confusion struggling. Then he was replaced by a glimmer of hope. It was weak but bright. He went forward in this way, staunched forward again and rushed forward again.
Black screen.
