Now, what Lan Li needs to do is to select works suitable for the next album from Chengshan's works, which is also the reason why it is so important to determine the concept and core of the album.

Once the album concept is determined, you can start to select the tracks to see which finished products can be selected, which semi-finished products need to be completed, and whether you need to collect songs from other songwriters-

If Lanli's existing creations do not conform to the album concept they conceived, either Lanli will create temporarily or collect songs through channels. This is a normal working form.

Although George Sland still tends to create the entire album by Renli, if Renli really lacks inspiration, it may not be surprising to seek other things. Including Ed Sheeran, the son of Montfort, Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake, etc., Renli also has many friends in the music circle. They are also singer-songwriters who can create together and sing together, and there is no problem with this.

For some time, Renley and George became busy in the recording studio.

After reading Lanley's creative book, George came up with an interesting idea:

Just like Bob Dylan back then, he gradually changed from folk songs to rock, but he still mixed his understanding of folk songs, but he only incorporated more elements into the use of musical instruments. He was somewhat similar to the musical style of the Blessed Son, and it was between folk songs and rock, but it went further than "Don Quixote".

The reason for this choice is mainly because Renly's creation is clearer and more open. Using different instruments to create resonance sparks can often give the melody more ductility and enrich the emotions. More importantly, this can extend the story of "Don Quixote".

Just like... Icarus.

In ancient Greek mythology, Daedalus was a great artist. People admired his works of art very much, but his vanity, jealousy and hatred made him fall into darkness. Because he was jealous of his nephew Talos's talent, Daedalus was worried that Talos might surpass him, so he brutally killed Talos.

Daedalus was convicted, but he successfully escaped before being imprisoned. In panic, he lost his way and eventually came to Crete, found the local king Minos, and settled here, became Minos' friend, and was regarded as a prestigious artist and was highly respected.

Despite this, Daedalus was increasingly missing his hometown, and he felt that King Minos did not trust himself and lacked sincerity in treating others, so he did not want to waste his life on the isolated island. He had to try to escape. After careful consideration, he happily came up with a wonderful idea:

Although Crete sealed the roads and waterways, he could still leave through the air.

So Daedalus began to collect and organize feathers of all sizes, then trapped the feathers in the middle with twine, and sealed them with beeswax at the end. Finally, the feathers were slightly bent, completely like bird wings.

At that time, Daedalus married a local woman from Crete and had a son named Icarus.

Icarus likes to stand beside him and help his father with his little hands. When Contemporary Daros was about to leave, he decided to take his son away.

"Be careful," Daedalus instructed, "You must fly in mid-air. If you fly too low, your wings will touch the sea, get heavy, and you will be dragged into the sea; if you fly too high, your wings will catch fire because they are close to the sun." Daedalus said, binding his wings to his son, but his hands were trembling slightly, and finally, he gave Icarus a kiss.

The two men bulged their wings and began to fly. Daedalus flew ahead, taking care of Icarus like an old bird flying with her first-time young bird.

At first, things went smoothly, but Icarus was very happy. He felt that his flight was very light and could not help but become proud. So he flew higher and faster, and he was forgetful, and then the punishment came - the sun melted beeswax, and the feathers on the wings began to loosen.

Before Icarus discovered that his wings had completely dispersed and rolled down from his shoulders. The unfortunate child could only use his hands to slash in the air in despair, but this was useless. He fell down one after another and finally fell into the vast ocean, and in an instant he was swallowed and submerged by the stormy waves.

All this happened too quickly, and Daedalus didn't notice it at all. When he turned around, he only saw the feathers floating on the sea.

People always think that Icarus is too proud and too blind. His arrogance buried his life, and he also used his life to kill Talos for his father. The cycle of cause and effect cannot escape the sanctions of fate. But Lanli saw different things in this tragic character:

Being proud because of too much love, becoming blind because of too much commitment, becoming blind because of losing oneself, embracing the sun like a moth to a fire, and finally... both jade and stones are burned.

This can be seen as a tragic figure who is further than Don Quixote, and it can also be seen as a reflection of every artist. They are so arrogant, immersed in their own world, forgetful, and even have wrong ideas, and then burn their lives to pieces.

The same is true for Renley.

He created countless history and miracles. He had achievements that ordinary people could not imagine, but he was lost in the nothingness and difficulties of the power structure. Once, he thought he was Ulysses, just like Levien Davis, a "drunk folk song", and he went around and went back to the spot and continued to make progress. But in fact, he was just Icarus, losing himself step by step in confidence and pride.

He hoped that he could still find his way home after going through vicissitudes like Ulysses, but at least not now. At this moment, he was just Icarus, whose wings were melted by the sun and were constantly flapping his hands to try to control his body, but it was just in vain. The pull of gravity caused him to fall continuously, so he could not find the way and direction to go home.

From performance to music, from folk to rock... From Don Quixote to Icarus, Renly is trying to find herself back.

The style of music between folk songs and rock is precisely a reflection of Lan Li's confusing mood - you can see clues from Lan Li's creations. Obviously, it is not just the confusion brought by "Rogue One". The confusion has slowly fermented and grown in the past four years, and finally bloomed under the power constraints of "Rogue One", and completed the qualitative change from quantitative change, which really shook Lan Li's idea.

In this way, the core concept of the new album was determined:

"Icarus".

Icarus was falling, constantly flapping his hands and trying to save himself.

After finalizing the theme of the album, Lanli officially began to get busy, selecting songs, completing creations, integrating the album, and all work was carried out step by step.

Unexpectedly, but reasonable, there are more works in Lanli's creations that match the theme than they imagined - as mentioned above, this confusion is not something that takes place for a day or two. Musical inspiration never lies, and can always reflect the creator's most realistic feelings in his heart.

Including the two tracks that achieved Egot Night, they have not been able to be created until now, which is also a signal in itself.

In any case, Renly's center of life had a significant tilt, and then stabilized again and entered the music creation world step by step.

Compared with the release of "Don Quixote" four years ago, Lan Li is definitely different from the past - even though Lan Li has only released one album so far, she can only be regarded as a guest-star "part-time" singer; but as long as Lan Li nods, major music companies can't wait to pay for this album.

No one can miss Lanley.

However, Renli chose Studio 11 without any surprises.

The cooperation between the two parties was very pleasant when the distribution and promotion of "Don Quixote" was released and promoted. Teddy Bell of Studio 11 has left a deep impression on Lanli. Now Lanli has no reason to choose other record companies - although they may have richer resources and more powerful promotion, these have never been the focus of Lanli's pursuit, nor is it the focus of George Slander's attention.

In order to ensure the purity of "Icarus", Studio Eleven is the best choice.

What's more, George and Renly still believe that "Icarus" and "Don Quixote" should not give too much hope in market performance.

Even though Lanley's fame has now swept the world, fame is one thing, and album sales are another: niche albums that cannot impress the audience will find it difficult to open up the situation, even Michael Jackson's regeneration and the Beatles' reorganization, it is still the case.
