Chapter 899 Buddhist scriptures

Because of the recommendation of Master Xuyun, Qin Di went directly to Fangcun Mountain of Lingtai without selection and became one of the many miscellaneous disciples.

Lingtai Fangcun Mountain is the Pure Land of Buddha opened by Bodhi Patriarch. It has a large space inside, and the mountains, rivers and waters are endless.

There is one of the peaks, which is not known how high. It is the place where the Bodhi Patriarch practices. There are countless peaks below, both high and low, which are the places where the disciples of the disciples live.

Master Xuyun pointed to the peaks and said, "Qin Ku, do you know why these peaks are of height or shortness?"

Qin Di blinked and said, "Is it different in generations? The people living on high mountains have a high age? Or are they disciples valued by the ancestors? Or maybe people with high skills live there?"

"No, no. The four elements of Buddhism are empty. The ancestors treat their disciples equally, and there is no distinction between high and low. These peaks represent the height of Buddha nature. Every disciple enters Fangcun Mountain of Lingtai, whether they are formal disciples or traitors, there is a place to stand on the ground. If you enlighten the Dharma, this place to stand on the ground will continue to rise, forming small hills, peaks, and large mountains!"

"Oh, so that's it! Master, how high is your mountain?"

"Being a teacher is just a Bodhisattva in the Eighth Level, so an eight hundred feet of hill has been opened!"

Qin Di thought to himself: "I am a seventh-level Bodhisattva. Can I open a seven hundred-foot hill?"

Master Xuyun led him to the foot of Xuyun Peak where he lived, with his fingers in an open space and said, "Qin Ku, you will live here from now on! This is the foundation of your Buddha land. You sit cross-legged here, release your compassion and that Buddha fire, and show your Foshan!"

Qin Di sat down as he said, and released the Buddha's fire.

As a result, his Foshan was only ten feet long! It was so different from what he imagined!

Qin Di was almost stunned: "Master, why is my Foshan so short?"

Master Xuyun smiled slightly and said, "I just said that these mountains represent Buddha nature and have nothing to do with your skill level. You have been in the early stages for too short, and you have only learned a little Diamond Sutra, and have not fully understood it. In the next ten days, I will preach your true Buddhist teachings! When you finish learning the basic Buddhist teachings, Buddha nature will be improved a lot."

Qin Di looked around and found that some people's Foshan was not as tall as him. He felt a little balanced and said, "Master, ten days are too short. Buddhism is profound and profound. Where can I learn it?"

Master Xuyun smiled and said, "A day here is equivalent to a thousand years outside. Have you noticed that you have been in for a while, have you ever seen the sun in the sky move one minute or another?"

Qin Di looked up at the sky. Although this place was a Buddhist Pure Land, there was also a sun. He looked carefully for a while and it turned out that the sun did not move as fast as the outside world.

Master Xuyun said: "In this Lingtai Square Mountain, a day is a 1 yuan, which is equal to 129,600 hours! It is enough for me to preach you a lot of Buddhist teachings!"

"Thank you, Master!"

Since then, as a traitor disciple, Qin Di went out to chop firewood and cook every thousand hours, and spent the rest of his time learning Buddhist scriptures with Master Xuyun.

On the first day, he studied the Heart Sutra of Prajna Paramita. This sutra is very short, only a few hundred words, but the Buddhist principles are explained very deeply.

Master Xuyun asked him to memorize the Heart Sutra and recite it every other hour. He also reminded him: "This Buddhist scripture is very important. Some people can achieve good achievements by chanting the Heart Sutra."

Qin Di acts according to his words and has gained something new every time he recites it.

By the end of the first day, when the cave opened again in the morning, his Foshan was already more than 30 feet tall!

The next day, he studied the "Diamond Paramita Sutra".

Master Xuyun said: "The Diamond Sutra is moderate in length and is one of the core Buddhist scriptures. Many people have long held this sutra, which is also what Bodhi Patriarch values the most. It is all about what the Buddha said to Bodhi Patriarch. The Buddhist principles are profound and you will not understand them for a while. You can memorize them first before saying them!"

Qin Di memorized the Diamond Sutra in a memorable way, and 129,600 hours a day were enough for him to carefully understand.

At the end of the day, his Foshan grew to a height of hundreds of feet.

On the third day, Master Xuyun taught him the "Lingyun Sutra".

The "Lingyun Sutra" is called the "Lingyun Sutra that opens wisdom". This sutra is mainly taught by the Buddha to Venerable Ananda, who is the best of his disciples. He is knowledgeable, which means that he has a wide range of knowledge. The corresponding Ananda practices the worst among the great disciples, and even like ordinary people, he cannot resist the temptation of female sex. He is very similar to modern people, with a wide range of knowledge and little practice, so this sutra is very suitable for Qin Di's practice.

Although the "Lingyun Sutra" is long, the Buddhist principles are explained quite thoroughly and clearly and easily understood. What Qin Di likes is that the text of this sutra is brilliant, amazing, and catchy to read.

Master Xuyun explained the Buddhist scriptures and asked Qin Di to recite them too!

The "Lingyun Sutra" has more than 62,000 words. It is too difficult for ordinary people to memorize it. However, Qin Di has the foundation of a ninth-level celestial immortal, and just scanned his spiritual consciousness and wrote down the scriptures!

On the fourth day, Master Xuyun taught him the Lotus Sutra.

This sutra is called the "wonderful method of becoming a Buddha". The original text is called "the first among the sutras", which shows its importance. This sutra is also relatively long, with more than 80,000 words, divided into twenty-eight chapters, and the Buddhist principles are profound. Before reading this sutra, you must have faith in the Buddha, otherwise you will not believe it after reading it, and even slander the sutras, and you may suffer great harm. It is better not to read it.

On the fifth day, Master Xuyun passed on his "Avatamsaka Sutra".

This sutra is the first sutra that Sakyamuni taught after becoming a Buddha. It is the most suitable for people with deep Buddha roots. When Sakyamuni first became a Buddha, it was like the sun rising and the light shining on the mountains. When he finally talked about the Lotus Sutra, it was like the sun was about to set. Relatively speaking, the "Lingyun Sutra", the "Diamond Sutra", the "Heart Sutra" and so on are like the sun and can shine through the entire person.

The "Avatamsaka Sutra" is very long, with eighty volumes, totaling more than one and four hundred thousand words.

This large-scale classic is like an encyclopedia. Master Xuyun did not let Qin Di recite it, but Qin Di refused to give up and spent several hours reciting all the scriptures.

Next, Qin Di learned the "Amitabha Sutra" on the sixth day, the "Amitabha Sutra" on the seventh day, and the "Amitabha Sutra" on the eighth day.

These three sutras all talk about Amitabha Buddha and the Western Pure Land. Among them, "Amitabha" is the original meaning of "Amitabha". Those who want to practice Pure Land and be reborn in the Western Pure Land will use these three sutras as their first choice.

On the ninth day, Qin Di learned the "Chang Agama Sutra".

This is the core scripture of Hinayana Buddhism, mainly about practical practices such as meditation.

On the tenth day, Master Xuyun passed on his "Sutra of Ksitigarbha Sutra".

This sutra talks about how to eliminate disasters, avoid misfortunes, seek blessings, eliminate sins, and accumulate merits, which is also the right way to seek the Buddha's path.

In the square mountain, ten days later, the outside world has passed ten thousand years!

Because Qin Di conquered the immortal energy and only retained the Buddhist cultivation level, he didn't know how much the outside body and the major clones had cultivated. I think it might be the high-level Ancestral Immortal. As long as he walked out of the Fangcun Mountain of Lingtai and released the immortal energy, his skills would rise like mushrooms after a rain, "cracking"!

At this time, Foshan, which belonged to him, had increased to more than 700 feet, and finally made up for the shortcomings of Buddhist cultivation. He was considered a qualified seventh-level Bodhisattva!

Qin Di couldn't help but sigh: "It's not easy to cultivate Buddha! It took me ten thousand years to lay a solid foundation in Buddhism, but when will I have to wait to learn real skills from Bodhi Patriarch?"
