Five hundred and thirtieth IX North Vietnam situation

Jean Paul and Pierre Chernot could not resist the pressure from the government. They shook hands harmoniously in front of the camera with smiles on their faces. However, when the two turned around, their hands that had been clasped just now quickly separated, and they smiled warmly.

He quickly smiled and turned into two incompatible masses of ice.

The "reconciliation of the century" is just a cover for outsiders to see. It is a mixture of conflicts between factions, political parties and personal grievances. How can it be possible to reconcile under external pressure and just say reconciliation?

It's just that the interests in Vietnam are too great, and the two major factions in the French army want to take it for themselves, so they have no choice but to let the two team up to form a team.

The two people who knew the inside story naturally understood the roles they shouldered, so their drama qualities were overwhelming, but when they turned around, they were full of benefits.

"This is an order from the General Staff, and I have absolute command authority!"

Pierre Chernot's first words when he entered the headquarters were full of declarations of sovereignty, but Jean Paul smiled indifferently. He knew very well that France was now controlled by the North African faction, and General de Gaulle had brought him back from the UK.

The group of "heroes" have long been excluded from core power due to their inherent flaws.

Not to mention him, a veteran who was sent to Vietnam, even General de Gaulle had to be forced to step down and live in seclusion in the mountains after serving as president for one term.

If General de Gaulle had not persisted in resisting during World War II and gained such a great reputation, this group of forces would have collapsed long ago. There is no way who could have allowed the main military power of the French army to be in the hands of the North African faction who had not been baptized by the fire of war.

Therefore, in the face of Pierre Chernot's strong oath, although Jean Paul was angry, as the only general in the de Gaulle family who had military power, he had to endure it, otherwise General de Gaulle, who was secretly seeking a comeback, would most likely lose his support.

The influence of the army is an unbearable loss for him and even the entire faction.

Because of this, Jean Paul said nothing, just nodded slightly like a gentleman, and immediately walked up the stairs without looking back.

Pierre Chernot looked at Jean Paul disappearing from the corner of the stairs and snorted with dissatisfaction: "The gentlemen in Paris should really send useless people to nursing homes instead of occupying seats and wasting taxpayers' food.

.”

"I believe that within half a month, your words will become reality, general!" As soon as Pierre Chernot finished speaking, a tall and straight French lieutenant colonel standing next to him said without any scruples.

Open your mouth and answer.

After hearing this, the unhappiness on Pierre Chernow's face finally faded away. He turned around and looked at the Lieutenant Colonel beside him, and asked: "The scenery here is finally much better than the desert, how about it? Are you confident? Lieutenant Colonel Henry

school!"

Lieutenant Colonel Henry's handsome and chiselled face showed an extremely confident smile: "There are guerrillas on the left and right. In Algeria, I could beat them until they cried for their parents, but here I can still beat them to the point where they regret living in this world!"

"Okay, then let the Vietnamese monkeys who dare to resist go to hell!" Pierre Chernot hit Henry's chest with his fist, his gray-black eyes filled with blood...

Facts have proved that Pierre Chernot's ability is indeed much stronger than that of Jean Paul. On the third day after taking office as Chief of Staff, he launched a military attack code-named "Charlemagne's Will".

The person specifically responsible for this attack was his right-hand man, Army Lieutenant Colonel Louis Henry. Different from previous French attacks against the North Vietnamese guerrillas, Lieutenant Colonel Henry did not set his goal on occupying the city, but instead focused on the North Vietnamese.

The effective forces of the guerrillas are the key targets.

In the form of an elite squad, the North Vietnamese guerrillas were raided. Once they caught the opponent, they would be like maggots on the tarsal bones. At the same time, several elite squads in the surrounding area could gather together to form a rapid encirclement.

The main force will then attack forcefully and eat up the surrounded North Vietnamese guerrillas with thunderous force.

This tactic, called "gathering locks" by Lieutenant Colonel Henry, was a huge success in Algeria, destroying nine rebel groups in less than a year.

As a result, Henry became so famous in the French army that some unscrupulous French media compared him to those bright stars in World War II.

Henry didn't care on the surface, but deep down he was very proud. He even felt that he was born at the wrong time. If he had been born a few years earlier, maybe he would have become a legend like Montgomery, Eisenhower, and Zhukov.

But he was not discouraged. World War II was not fought, so there were other wars. The world was not peaceful anyway, so why couldn't he find a chance to prove himself?

Algeria is the starting point of his rise, and I believe Vietnam is not the end of his career.

In fact, it had to be the case. Faced with Henry's new offensive tactics, the Vietnamese guerrillas were very uncomfortable. They made successive mistakes in command and judgment, and made frequent mistakes in command, causing more than a dozen guerrillas to be eaten by the French army.

Not to mention, in the battle to stick to their colleagues, the Vietnamese, who were eager to change the status quo, were originally prepared to catch the French army off guard in order to reverse the unfavorable situation, so they launched a vigorous mobilization of seven guerrilla groups, nearly 1,500 people.

Prepare to eat several elite combat units of the French army.

As a result, instead of capturing the French detachment, the Vietnamese side was surrounded by the main force of the French army. The result is predictable. The team of 1,500 people only lasted for two days before falling apart.

After this defeat, North Vietnam suddenly had a defensive gap. Henry keenly seized this opportunity and directly marched his army northward, creating a shocking storm.

Faced with the storm stirred up by the French army, North Vietnam was unable to resist at all and could only urgently ask for help from China, hoping to transfer the Vietnamese army that was training in China to resist the French offensive.

After receiving the distress call from North Vietnam forwarded from the central government, Commander Zero, who was in charge of southern Guangxi, pushed up his glasses on the bridge of his nose. He immediately raised his head and looked at the huge situation map of North Vietnam on the wall. He frowned with a knife-like brow.

In addition to knowing that the situation in North Vietnam is serious, he now has a dark eye on other situations. The military leaders of North Vietnam have come several times, but apart from fear, there is no useful real information in their words.

As for the grassroots North Vietnamese guerrillas, they were even more miserable. They didn't even have basic tactical literacy, let alone the basic situation such as the composition of the French army's strength and weapon configuration.

So far, Commander Zero's map situation is still the same as it was three days ago. Faced with such a situation, Commander Zero, even if he can fight well, still feels helpless.

"This is not how wars are fought!"

After staring at the map with his hands behind his back for several minutes, the leader of No. 0 finally said this meaningfully, then turned his head and ordered to the communications staff in the command room: "Directly order Tang Jixian to go deep into the hinterland of North Vietnam and tell him that I want to
