Chapter 4. Come and be safe

When the two little devils saw that their companion had one of his legs chopped off, they did not stop attacking. Instead, they became more ferocious. They knew that the man in front of them was no ordinary opponent.

However, Zhao Zhiguo did not give the two people any time to think. The speed was so fast that the two little devils were stunned and kept slashing with their big swords. Although the little devil had a numerical advantage, Zhao Zhiguo forced them to retreat and defend.

The little devil chirped and said something else, seeming to be discussing countermeasures.

Zhao Zhiguo slashed down with his sword again, and the kid resisted his attack again. Zhao Zhiguo smiled at the kid and hit the kid on the chin with an elbow. He was dislocated on the spot and passed out.

"Little brat, you're next!" Zhao Zhiguo turned around and pointed his sword at the last brat.

Before Zhao Zhiguo could take action, a gunshot rang out. The kid in front of him widened his eyes, slowly lowered his head and looked at the big hole in his chest, and finally fell to the ground with a "pop".

"This gun is not bad!" Dian Hou stood not far away, holding a tortoise box in his hand, with green smoke coming out of the gun. "I just found it from a Japanese squad leader and wanted to test its power."

Zhao Zhiguo glanced at Dianhou, threw the big knife on the ground angrily, walked over, and resisted the urge to punch Dianhou: "It's best not to shoot when you are in front, you idiot."

Dianhou was a little confused: "But I just helped you."

"What if the bullet penetrated the little devil's body?" Zhao Zhiguo was still angry.

The bullet penetrated the little Japanese's body, and one can imagine the result. The next second after the little Japanese fell, it would be Zhao Zhiguo who fell again.

Zhao Zhiguo didn't say anything more, but walked towards the little devil who had just been dislocated by him. The pain of the dislocation had already made him faint.

"Find a way to wake him up and send him to the regiment headquarters. He might be useful to us." Zhao Zhiguo looked at the little Japanese who was already as dead as a pig.

"It would be so nice to give this little brat a knife!"

After going through this battle, no one will have mercy on the little devils, even if they are no longer a threat and become prisoners.

"If the war is just for fun, the problem can be easily solved. Maybe the regiment headquarters can get some information from this little devil!"

"Are you sure he can still speak?" Dianhou looked doubtful as he saw blood still coming out of the corner of the little devil's mouth.

The hand-to-hand fighting on the position has ended. One platoon leader was killed, and there were still five people in the position plus the wounded.

Just after the battle ended, the troops sent by the regiment commander to support them also arrived. It was only half a platoon of troops. This was the only force that the regiment headquarters could allocate, but there was also a machine gun.

"My mission is completed, and the position is handed over to you. This is what a platoon of brothers paid for with their lives."

After Zhao Zhiguo finished introducing himself, he added that the brutality on the battlefield was really close to Zhao Zhiguo's psychological endurance.

Of course, Zhao Zhiguo has participated in countless such battles before, but those were small-scale armed conflicts, with only a few dozen people on both sides. In this battle, a single charge by the Japanese army could cause hundreds of casualties. In one day, one person

There are only a few hundred people left in the full group!

The new second lieutenant who came to take over the defense had a serious face. When he received the order, he already knew in his heart that their regiment had reached the last moment.

If the reinforcements do not arrive at the position tonight, the Japs will be able to defeat their regiment with a single charge tomorrow morning and seize the position in their hands.

The second lieutenant knew this and could not tell Zhao Zhiguo. Once such news got out, some soldiers would definitely run away while the moon was dark and the wind was high. When he opened his eyes tomorrow morning, he would be the only commander left on the battlefield.

"Your company commander was killed in action," the second lieutenant brought bad news and an order, "Zhao Ziming will also serve as company commander! Before dinner, all company commanders will go to the regiment headquarters for a combat meeting."

"I will bring the news, sir!" Zhao Zhiguo felt heavy.

Returning to the second row position, Zhao Ziming saw that Zhao Zhiguo was safe and sound, so he couldn't help but stepped forward and gave him a hug, wishing he could kiss him twice.

"Stop it! Stop it! You old glass, I am a great young man of the 21st century, not some Brokeback Mountain!" Zhao Zhiguo saw that Zhao Ziming was about to kiss him and quickly pushed him away.

"What are you talking about?" Zhao Ziming listened to Zhao Zhiguo's messy words and was confused.

Zhao Zhiguo sat slumped on the ground, leaning against the trench, raising his head and telling Zhao Ziming the latest order from the regiment.

The sun has set and the sky has not yet completely darkened. Zhao Zhiguo raised his head and looked at the sky, thinking about everything that happened today.

Dianhou came over at some point and sat next to Zhao Zhiguo: "Thanks to you, I live another day..."

Zhao Zhiguo paid no attention to Dianhou at all, but couldn't figure out whether he was really dead in that world back then?

Dianhou talked to himself for a long time, while Zhao Zhiguo just raised his head and looked at the sky without responding: "What are you looking at?"

Following Zhao Zhiguo's gaze, only the last blood-red sunset reflected the pale sky.

"Let me see if there is a space-time tunnel in the sky!" Zhao Zhiguo was unwilling to die like this and come to such a bad world.

"What is a space-time tunnel?" Monk Dianhou Zhanger was confused, "You rest for a while, I will find something to eat."

After fighting for a day, their stomachs were already growling. Seeing the little Japs enjoying hot and spicy food not far away, they couldn't go hungry on the battlefield. There would be a fierce battle tomorrow.

Just as Dianhou was about to leave, Zhao Zhiguo grabbed him.

"What are you doing?" Dianhou didn't understand what he meant.

"Wait a little longer until I think more clearly."

Obviously, there is definitely no space-time tunnel or anything like that, and it's not a thundery or rainy day today. If lightning strikes your head, there might be a chance.

Since he had neither of these two things, Zhao Zhiguo also figured out that once he came, he would be at ease. Maybe God had deliberately arranged for him to come here for a visit.

After thinking about it for a long time, Zhao Zhiguo decided to solve the current dilemma first. Zhao Zhiguo knew better than anyone how disadvantageous the situation was. People started with a dog, but at least Zhao Zhiguo had a gun at the beginning. Although his shooting was not very accurate, he must first

Just find a way to survive.

"Do we have no reinforcements?" Zhao Zhiguo asked Dianhou.

Dianhou glanced around furtively, and after making sure no one was listening to their conversation, he whispered: "Our teacher came here to repair the hole for Zhang Xiaoliuzi. Do you think our commander will give up his job?"

Do you want to wipe the butt of their Zhang family?"

Of course, these are all Dianhou's guesses. When the warlords fought in the melee, who didn't beat anyone? Who didn't get beaten?

Zhao Zhiguo had no interest in the intrigues among the warlords. When the country was in ruins and the family was in ruins, it is estimated that officials were more anxious than they were, like the soldiers.
