Chapter 2 go away

This was the first time in so many years that I saw my dad shed tears.

I will never forget the way my dad looked at me. The reluctance and determination in my dad’s eyes were all followed by tears that fell to the ground. It made me want to cry loudly along with my dad.

"Dad! What's wrong with you?" I wanted to hold my dad's hand, but my dad grabbed my wrist and turned away. My dad's back blocked my sight and I couldn't see him.

What are you doing, but you feel your fingers hurt?

I tried desperately to pull my hand away, but my dad held on to it. When I pulled my hand back, I saw blood coming out of my finger - my dad had pricked my finger and was still squeezing it out.

Got blood?

Before I could figure out what was going on, my dad said quickly: "Pack your things and go back to school right away. No, don't go back to school. You can find a hotel to stay by yourself. Any hotel will do. Don't talk to anyone."

Where do people say you live?”

I let my dad get confused. What hotel should I stay in if nothing happens?

Before I had a chance to ask him, he went on to say: Before you go to the hotel, find a place to take a shower. Burn all your clothes and don’t need them anymore. Buy a new set of clothes from the inside out and put them on after you take a shower.

Before changing into new clothes, you throw this cloth bag into your pocket.

I don’t know what was in the cloth bag that my dad stuffed for me. It smelled like mothballs, but when I smelled it carefully, it didn’t look like anything.

As soon as I took the cloth bag over, my dad emptied everything out of my schoolbag and told me while putting things in it:

After you check into the hotel, don't open the window or open the door, and just wait for me to find you.

If I go there at nine o'clock in the morning, you can follow me.

If you hear my movements in the middle of the night, don't open the door.

If there is any movement in the middle of the night, just stay in the house and don't go out. Wait until noon before you go out again. Find the person at the address I wrote in the notebook. That person is your uncle. After meeting him, he can

Arrange your future affairs.

Don't be afraid of anything you encounter on the way to your uncle's house. If someone arrests you, don't care who he is, just stab him hard with the knife I brought you, and then run away.

Remember, never run to a place with shadows. If someone is standing in the shadows talking to you, just ignore them. If you see such a person, just hide away.

Do you understand everything?

I was completely confused at the time: "Dad, what are you talking about? Why don't I understand, and what do you mean by looking for me in the middle of the night!"

My dad held back his tears, touched my head with his hand and looked at me for a long time, then pushed me out without any explanation: "Remember my words, leave quickly. When I meet your uncle, he will slowly tell you what happened."

It’s a matter of course. You must be obedient.”

After I was pushed out of the door by my dad, he locked the door and refused to open the door for me.

I shouted outside for a long time, and my dad responded: Listen to me, or don't call me dad.

I had no choice but to follow my dad's instructions, go to town overnight and find a hotel near the station to stay.

I was so flustered after staying at the hotel, I always had an ominous premonition in my heart!

My dad told me to take a shower and change all my clothes. But when I arrived in town, it was already past nine o'clock in the evening. At that time, the town was not very developed and there was no night market. Where could I go?

Buying clothes?

I walked around the streets of the town several times, but there was no place selling clothes except for shroud shops.

I really had no choice but to take a shower first and stuff the bag of things my dad gave me into my clothes.

If my dad told me, I would have finished half of it. I don’t know when my dad will come. I stay alone in the hotel and say I’m not afraid. That’s a lie. But I think more about my dad.

The more I think about it, the more uneasy I feel. I always feel that there is something that I cannot recognize, approaching me silently.

But what can I do? The only thing I can do is to wait in the hotel and wait for the results after dawn.

I stayed in the hotel all night and didn't wait until noon the next day when my dad came over.

My dad won't come, so I can only follow his instructions to find my uncle.

I even bought the ticket, but I was stopped by the security guard at the station. I don’t know when there was an additional security check at the station. The security guard took out the knife my dad gave me for self-defense from my bag.

, said it would be confiscated.

I was anxious at that time. My dad told me a few things in total. I didn’t buy any clothes. If I ran out of knives, how could I go outside the town?

I went up to grab the knife back, but the security guard took me into the security section of the station.

The security originally wanted to call the police, but the station leader said: There is no need to call the police for a child, just educate the school or parents to pick him up.

I sat in the security department until it was almost dark, and a security guard came in and called me: "Kid, come out! Your dad is here to pick you up."
