Volume 7 Peninsula Smoke Chapter 101 The number one captain

When Xiaolei arrived at the "Huaxia" aircraft carrier, the "Suporpent" submarine was submersible

"Old Du, return?"

Du Xinghua glanced at his partner Rong Kangjian and said, "Reset the route, enter the Yellow Sea from the Tugala Strait, and look for opportunities to the west of the Men's and Women's Islands, and south of Jeju Island."

Rong Kangjian frowned slightly and said, "It's too dangerous to walk into the Tugala Strait, we should..."

“The war zone must be reached within forty-eight hours.

"Du Xinghua knocked on the screen and said, "The order is very clear. The task of tracking Japanese strategic nuclear submarines is the responsibility of two other submarines. We must reach the waters near Jeju Island within two days, search and attack Korean submarines and warships, and assist the aircraft carrier battle group in combat."

"But……"

"I know, it is indeed dangerous to walk the Tugala Strait." Du Xinghua rubbed his face, "Arriving at the east side of the strait, shutting down the reactor, and fully powered. The navigation depth is set below 450 meters, making full use of the reverse current. If everything goes well, we can reach the war zone within 40 hours."

"Below 450 meters?" Rong Kangjian was stunned for a moment, "Our chart is not perfect enough..."

"We drew the waterway of the Tula Strait. Don't you have confidence?"

When Rong Kangjian saw Du Xinghua confidentially, he sighed secretly and said nothing more.

The submarine continued to dive. It only changed to level after reaching a depth of 350 meters. Then it sailed westward at a speed of 16 knots.

The "Porpoise" is the third submarine of the most advanced C75 "Porpoise" class "nuclear power hybrid propulsion" in the Republic's Navy. The nature of the "Porpoise" class has always been controversial. Because it is equipped with a fusion reactor, some people believe that it should be classified as "nuclear submarine". Because it is equipped with a fusion reactor, some people believe that it should be classified as "nuclear submarine". Starting from the "Porpoise" class, the naming rules of the submarine in the Republic's Navy have changed. In addition to continuing to be named after the code, a class name has also been added. Each submarine is named separately. The 5 submarine in the Navy is the code name. 7 is the code name of the electric submarine (so most people believe that the "Porpoise" class belongs to the electric submarine). 5 is the specific level.

Compared with the "Swordfish", the biggest "feature" of the "Stubs" is that it adds a small fusion reactor.

Fusion reactors do not directly drive superconducting motors. Instead, they power composite batteries through a "closed-cycle thermal power conversion system". Compared with traditional fission reactors, the advantages of fusion reactors are very outstanding. They rely on reserves to granulate elements in special containers in the core of the reactor (actually catalytic metal is catalytic metal). The fusion reactor can operate for 30 years (the design life of the submarine is 30 years). There is no need to replenish fuel in the middle; the fusion reactor will not generate any radiation in the stop state. During operation, it will only release more easily shielded ground rays and a small amount of l rays. It will not cause serious radioactive pollution; the noise during the reactor is very small, which is conducive to the concealment of the submarine; it only takes 15 minutes from shutdown to full power operation. The response speed is far exceeding the fission reactor. It can be quickly started in any state; the overall mass and volume of the reactor are less than 150~:. It is only one-third of the fission reactor of the same level.

Using fusion reactors as indirect energy is not that they cannot create fusion reactors with greater power, but that it is not necessary.

Weapons and equipment are different from civilian equipment. The operating environment is complex and changeable, and it is too restricted by tactical technology. In actual combat, submarines will control navigation speed and navigation depth according to various situations such as combat environment, combat tasks, combat opponents, etc., launch attacks in the best way, and leave the dangerous area at the fastest speed. Although the corresponding speed of the fusion reactor is very fast, the output power cannot be flexibly adjusted. When the submarine changes its navigation speed, the propulsion power changes very much. Using composite batteries as direct energy can effectively make up for the defects of the fusion reactor.

The "Swordfish" has proved the performance of an all-electric submarine.

Without using a fusion reactor, relying solely on the electrical energy in the composite battery, the "April" can submarine at a speed of 35 knots, or 3,500 nautical miles at a speed of 6 knots. This performance not only exceeds all AIP conventional submarines, but also ensures that the "April" leaves dangerous waters under any circumstances or approaches the target invisible situations.

Because the "reactor compartment" was added, the total length of the "April" reached 98 meters, and the underwater displacement was 5,800~:.

The main purpose of hull growth is not to carry more composite batteries. In fact, the composite batteries carried by the "Swordfish" are only one-third of that of the "Swordfish", but to install a longer side-side passive sonar array. Practical combat proves that the side-side passive sonar array is the most used sonar and is also the most important sonar for submarines in combat. No captain is willing to let the submarine drag a tail several thousand meters long to chase prey or avoid the enemy, and no captain is willing to risk exposing his whereabouts when fighting with the enemy. The spherical main bow/~passive sonar is an attack sonar, and it will only be used when it is in absolute upper hand.

Although the United States confirmed on the "Big Blue and White Fish" decades ago

The best appearance is "water drop shape", but almost no country has a subliminal "water drop shape", but more "cigar shape" with a diameter of medium and other "diameters". In addition to the greater difficulty in manufacturing the "water drop shape" pressure-resistant shell, the main reason is that the middle section of the hull is too short to install high-performance side-side sonar. In fact, as long as conditions allow, all national nuclear submarines will try to increase the length of the hull to install longer side-side sonars.

The "stinger" gained stronger combat capabilities from this "change".

There are two main purposes of increasing the displacement: one is to enhance the ability to carry lightning bombs, and the other is to improve the living environment of crew members.

The "Swordfish" has too little ammunition capacity and has been criticized. During his tenure as the captain of the "Swordfish", Hua Jianfeng wrote five reports to the Navy Equipment Department and the Equipment Department of the General Staff Department, all of which clearly mentioned that the submarine's missile load capacity should be increased and the submarine's "multi-mission capability" in complex situations should be enhanced.

When designing the "Powder" class, the designers of the Ship Research Institute fully considered the "user" opinions.

The "Adorpin" can not only carry 38 torpedoes and missiles in the torpedo compartment, but also carry 12 anti-ship missiles or cruise missiles in the vertical launch system behind the spherical sonar compartment of the bow. The most "unconventional" is that the designer left a sealed compartment with a volume of about cubic meters behind the submarine command hull, which was prepared to be used to load submarine-launched air defense missiles, but the supporting missiles have not been developed successfully. Under normal circumstances, the "Adorpin" not only carries 12 vertically launched missiles (usually 8 cruise missiles and anti-ship missiles), but also loads anti-ship missiles in the torpedo compartment, and the remaining missiles are all used to place heavy anti-ship/anti-submarine dual-purpose electric torpedoes.

Another difference from the "Swordfish" is that the "Superpie" has three 650mm torpedo launch tubes on each of the left and right ribs. Although the "Superpie" still uses heavy torpedoes with a diameter of 533mm (adaptive washers need to be added outside the torpedo when launching), in the future, it can use "superpie torpedoes" with a longer range and more advanced performance, or long-range cruise missiles with a larger caliber.

Improving the living environment of submarines is the most concerned thing for all submarine officers and soldiers, including Du Xinghua.

In fact, the living facilities of the Swordfish are already very good. Compared with the Swordfish, the Swordfish not only provides officers with separate cabins, but also reduces the number of sailors' cabins to people, and reserves 16 beds for special forces. The biggest improvement is the entertainment facilities. There is a library of 250 books on the Swordfish. The officers and soldiers can also find favorite works from tens of thousands of electronic books stored in the central computer system through the in-boat network system. A small cinema with 16 seats can allow officers and soldiers who are resting in shifts to obtain more entertainment activities, etc.

Improving the living environment of officers and soldiers can maximize the "on-air rate" of submarines.

Although the "Top" class's design "mission time" (referring to the time from leaving the base to returning to the base) is day, the first boat "Dolphin" set a record of 75 days of submersible voyage after it was put into service, and the "Dolphin" set a record of 120 days of continuous submersible when it went to sea for the third time.

For nuclear power hybrid submarines with "unlimited endurance" capabilities, the navigation time is not determined by the battery capacity, but by the officers and soldiers' ability to withstand. Submarine soldiers are also humans. Without rich entertainment activities and a "superior" living environment, anyone will go crazy if they stay in an "iron pipe" for a long time.

Of course, in the eyes of submarine soldiers, life on submarines cannot be described as "superior".

The "Atelporia" went out to sea in early December, entering the Western Pacific from the north of the Miyako Islands, and heading to the Kita Strait of Japan (also known as the Tomoshima Waterway and Osaka Bay exit) to find "prey".

After Hua Jianfeng "retired", Du Xinghua became the captain of the Republic's number one submarine.

According to tradition, the "Attoria" commanded by Du Xinghua was sent to perform the most important and boring task: tracking and monitoring the enemy's strategic nuclear submarines, and sinking the enemy's strategic nuclear submarines as soon as possible after the war begins.

In the past, those who performed this mission were attacking nuclear submarines. Because Japan was very close to the Republic, the Navy sent a quieter "electric submarine".

Shortly after sank at the Dead Wood Beach (the shallow beach in the southwest of the Kii Peninsula), the "Pigloo" discovered the "prey".

Japan's conventional submarines are very advanced, but nuclear submarines are not very good.

Du Xinghua didn't spend much effort to keep up with the Japanese strategic nuclear submarine code-named "Yaiwa Chrysanthemum" (another Japanese-style Chrysanthemum).

What he didn't expect was that a few days later, the Peninsula War broke out.

The sudden war not only disrupted the "itation schedule" of Japanese nuclear submarines, but also disrupted Du Xinghua's "activity schedule", because Du Xinghua had to give up the "plan" of taking leave to go home to get married.
