Chapter Eleven Before the Dawn

(Chapter 2 is here! Thank you for the rewards of the two book friends of "Shorts Gang" and "I Love OP" ~~~~~~)

After the successful end of Rhode's Trial of Courage, a lunch and a dinner were held in the lord's residence to celebrate the success of Rhode's Trial of Courage and celebrate Rhode's twelfth birthday.

So for the whole noon and afternoon, Rhode himself was in a state of inability to stop. All the people he knew and did not know needed him to talk to and showed the ability of the first heir of the Ernst family. Although Rhode was not willing to engage in such friendship activities, under such circumstances, Rhode himself could not help.

When facing those boasting and tentative questions, Rhodes had to maintain a reasonable attitude to answer. If Rhodes had not had memories of his previous life, it would have been a bit unbearable if Rhodes were only twelve years old.

But even so, after the dinner, Rhode felt that he was limp all over his body, which was much more tired than fighting the old werewolf for the first time and training the whole day.

—————————————————————————————

At night, in Rhodes' bedroom

After taking a shower, Rhodes lying on the bed soon entered a meditation state, and entered his own consciousness space. The consequences were unexpectedly seen that the translucent ball floating in the meditation space had changed!

The trace of gold on the translucent ball was originally a little brighter, and the gold on the translucent ball was obviously a little more than the situation where it was motionless in the previous few days.

After Rod checked in detail for a while, he confirmed that there was indeed a little more gold on the translucent ball, which was basically the case that less than one percent of the time when he killed the old werewolf, and it turned out to be about one percent more.

After estimating the approximate killing numbers that would make the golden color completely lit up, Rhode's face looked very ugly.

"TMD! According to this trend, it is enough to kill at least one hundred jaggers..."

Looking at the translucent ball, Rhode felt his head hurt and couldn't help but swear in the meditation space.

More than a hundred werewolfs!

Not more than one hundred sand beasts (Note 1) or bighorn antelope (Note 2)!

Rhodes was sure that if he planned to go out to hunt alone, he would not mention more than a hundred werewolves, even if three or five adult werewolves came, it would be enough to chase him. Even if he was not very lucky, he would probably have to enter the gnoll's belly to serve as the other party's food!

This is not a sensational thing. In the extreme northern mountains near Ernst's territory, there are countless mercenaries who venture into it every year but have no bones left.

If Rhodes dares to run out alone to take risks? Humph, it's not about other factors. The goblins who are not even at the lowest level in the wild can kill him!

As for the gnolls, most of them are more than a dozen, dozens of them wander together or entrench somewhere, and they basically belong to the monster community that is inferior to gray iron when they become adults? Well, you can only be sure of those powerful beings who dare to face the gray iron peak or even the red copper rank. Otherwise, if you hear more adventure stories, a passionate and unlucky person who runs out to risk encountering the monster group will be directly buried in the mouths of those monsters and become the other party’s delicacy!

Although Rhodes seemed to kill two werewolves without any effort, they were both single-on-one and had considerable security. If it were a person in the wild, they would definitely not be optimistic about the result of facing those plural gnolls!

After all, Rhodes is just a twelve-year-old boy now. Even if his experience in his previous life can make him mature precociously, it does not mean that he, a little kid who has just reached the level of gray iron, can survive in the wild!

Not to mention, if Rhode wants to turn the translucent ball into golden color, he will surely have at least a hundred monsters similar to gnolls to die in his hands. This difficulty is not unusually high!

Without considering other factors, even Baron Ernst would not let his eldest son, who has a bright future, take risks, let alone fighting and killing outside to such a degree - kidding! The little guy who is only twelve years old is in the early stages of knight training. In this case, he sent him out to commit uninterrupted killing in the wild to commit uninterrupted killing is a murder?

What made Rhode the most headache was that the real situation of his thoughts could not be expressed, and it was said that there was no completely reasonable excuse for his family to accept that he wanted to kill more than 100 wild monsters of the zombie level with his own hands!

"There are really advantages and disadvantages..."

Looking at the golden light on the translucent ball in front of him, a proverb from his previous life could not help but appear in Rhode's mind, and it felt that it was really appropriate to his current situation.

It is true that Rhodes was reborn in the Baron Ernst family in this life, and had a much stronger identity than on Earth in his previous life and much more resources for those civilians and free people. However, because of the identity of the Ernst family, Rhodes had to be subject to some restrictions - for example, if they were civilians and free people, Rhodes himself would not have servants to go in and out of the lord's mansion at least, not to mention that he could not leave the town without the baron's permission.

Of course, in general, Rhodes feels that being reborn in the Ernst family has far more advantages than disadvantages. However, the problem is that if Rhodes wants to do some dangerous things and there is no suitable reason, then this disadvantage will be stuck in front of him and blocked it.

When I saw the little golden color on the translucent ball, I couldn't think of a Rhode who could let his father go out to cut hundreds of zombies or other monsters in his life.

"Can these souls be absorbed by me personally? And, maybe not just the souls of monsters, maybe the souls of livestock and other humans..."

However, when Rhode looked at the dazzling golden color on the translucent ball, other creepy thoughts popped up in his mind.

So far, Rhodes is sure that this translucent ball probably absorbs the power of souls and appears golden, but it is not certain that this translucent ball simply absorbs the souls of itself and kills the creatures or can absorb the souls of other people after killing their opponents, and even the souls of those animals.

If Rhodes' judgment is valid and verified, it may be much shorter before Rhodes himself activates the translucent sphere.

What? What if it is the worst result? I'll do it, how can I know what the situation is if I don't try it...

So looking at the translucent ball, Rhode made up his mind secretly, and after preparing, he carefully tested whether these thoughts were true.

If you determine the best result that all souls can absorb or other slightly worse situations, then Rhodes will be much more relaxed.

As for the moral issues of absorbing the soul, especially the human soul...

Forget it, the thing about integrity has been abandoned by Rhodes! As long as he is not someone he knows or values, Rhodes himself is too lazy to worry about this issue.

After making up his mind, Rhodes began his own actions in the next few days.

—————————————————————————————

After Rhodes finished his courage trial, the Ernst family and the servants in the lord's mansion discovered that Rhodes Ernst's actions were slightly strange. For example, they were close to the kitchen in the lord's mansion and were also concerned about dead people or dead monsters.

Fortunately, these abnormal actions of Rod Ernst stopped before attracting the attention and inquiries of Baron Ernst and other family members. After seeing that Rod Ernst, the little master with broad prospects, no longer paid attention to these, the other servants did not think about reporting to the butler. After all, as the first heir to the Baron family, as long as Rod Ernst's behavior was not outrageous, those servants did not have the courage to report it.

In contrast, Baron Ernst was very happy because on the tenth day after the trial of courage, his eldest son took the initiative to propose to him and ask for more relevant practical training.

Baron Ernst was of course very happy about his son's ambition, so he ordered Knight Tamon and Knight Terr to try to grab some monsters when possible to serve his son as the target for practical training.

However, Rhode, who finally came up with this excuse and convinced his father with righteous words, felt that his father was too concerned about him and only had an opportunity to exercise in practice every two or three months, and the targets of the exercise in practice were not only gnolls, goblins, and kobolds, and other trash also appeared in front of Rhodes.

But what makes Rhodes hurt and chrysanthemum tight is that this situation where it can only rise by a few percent every few months is even more tangled. Fortunately, after another year of training and courses such as Knights' small-scale command, Rhodes, who had stabilized his gray iron's lower position and vaguely advanced towards the gray iron's middle position, finally got permission to go out and began to follow the Tamon Knights and the Terl Knights, and lead the garrison to start daily cleaning and inspection of the territory!

During the occasional encounter and clearing battle, Rhodes not only felt the atmosphere on the battlefield, but also was able to personally use his translucent ball that could only kill the opponent's soul by himself and become more and more excited.

When it entered the 1142 year of the Dawn calendar, Rhode finally saw the last Dawn...
