Chapter 4 Self-cultivation
Chapter 4: The Great Realm of Self-cultivation ()
After leaving the Ghost King Hall, walking towards the "Gourd Mouth". About three or four hundred feet away, there was a roundabout building, forming a "hui" shape, with a total of ten layers. The innermost layer was where the disciples of Guigu lived, and so on, the outermost layer was the residence of the ten generations of disciples.
There is a door in the east, west, south and north pavilions that extend inward.
Each of these buildings is a separate courtyard for a disciple to live in. There is a long corridor in the courtyard connecting these four gates and each courtyard.
Du Jun's room was simple, and there was a person's skull on the shabby wooden table, filled with green oil and water. A cotton thread meandered in it, and a piece of the skull evaporated with a faint fluorescence.
Du Jun sat on the bed, lowered his head, and clasped his fists tightly. At this moment, his heart felt like he was confused and he couldn't figure it out. He just felt that his previous hope had turned into nothing at this moment. When the spiritual root was destroyed, he was completely disappointed. He felt a little resentment towards his father, Dai Zhenren. Instead, he thought about it, but he understood Dai Zhenren's wishes, but he was afraid that he would enter the Demon Sect and would cause trouble to the Central Plains in the future, and he could not bear to harm him, so he had to destroy his spiritual roots.
Thinking of this, I felt that the current realm he had fallen into was because of the Taoist priests on Jinhua Mountain. If it weren't for them, how could his mother die? How could he and Dae Zhenren wander for several years? How could Dae Zhenren destroy his spiritual roots?
In this way, Duan blamed all his miserable experiences on those Taoists, and suddenly felt an evil thought in his heart, thinking, "Even if I have become a demon and become an evil demon, I will also cultivate my supernatural powers and return to the Central Plains to harm the disaster, and then I will kill those Taoists."
At this time, the door was pushed open with a creaking sound. When Du Jun saw that it was Qu Hou. Qu Hou was thin and sloppy, with a stinking smell of wine, but there was no turbidity in his eyes.
Qu Hou came to the room without saying a word. He raised his hand and threw a blue book and a waist sign on the wooden table, and turned around and left. As he left, a silence suddenly appeared in the room, and there was deep loneliness in the silence.
A moment later, Quhou's voice came from outside the room, but said: "Heaven moves hard, gentlemen continue to improve themselves, what's the use of self-motivation? How about the spiritual roots being destroyed? This world is mostly spiritual herbs that benefit one's cultivation..."
The sound gradually droops and is no longer heard.
Du Jun was silent for a moment, his eyes became firm, and he reached out to pick up the book. He saw the words "Smart" when he opened the pages and saw that it was densely filled with tadpole-like fonts. Du Jun looked roughly, but he saw that the previous pages were filled with vague words like general outlines, which were very boring, but Du Jun would still start from the first page and look carefully.
Although he had never practiced Taoism in the Central Plains, he still knew that the information of this path of cultivation changed greatly, and each realm had many dangers and key points. Now his spiritual roots were destroyed. Although the Nine Evils were extraordinary, they were now the same as that of the ordinary spiritual roots. Therefore, if he had the same path of cultivation, he would definitely be full of dangers and extremely difficult.
Therefore, now he does not seek merit, but seeks no mistakes. He is very careful in everything, so he is naturally correct.
According to the records in the book, the great realm of self-cultivation is divided into three realms: marrow cleaning, body strengthening and spiritual enlightenment. The first two realms cannot sense the spiritual energy floating in the world. They just passively rely on the law to force the spiritual energy into the body. First, they eliminate the mortal poisons in the body, and then the spiritual energy passes through the body to strengthen the body.
The subsequent enlightenment of spirit is the top priority of the great realm of self-cultivation. It is to enlighten spirit and open spiritual roots. Only by reaching this realm can you feel the elegant and misty spiritual energy between heaven and earth during meditation, and then you can barely breathe.
This is a very slow process, which requires meditating and silently reciting the Dharma every day and enduring the pain of peeling. If you are fast, you can reach the spirit of Qiling for ten days and half a month, and you can wait for half a year and even stop for eternal life here.
If you look into it deeply, this self-cultivator is not a monk, but just opening up a path for future cultivation.
After Du Jun saw everything thoroughly, he began to breathe according to the formulas recorded on page 6. Breathing is also called meditation. People who practice need to be highly concentrated in their energy, but this concentration is to make people who have just started practicing feel exhausted.
It is said that only by reaching the state of Qi training and becoming a Qi training man can one not feel tired when entering into samadhi, but instead become full of energy.
Although Du Jun was stoic, he couldn't help but feel numb from his knees after entering a night of meditation, and his mind was even more tired. During this period, he opened his eyes several times and tried to give up, but he gritted his teeth and persevered.
If you can't even bear the hardship at this moment, how can you talk about the journey of loneliness in the future?
However, what disappointed Du Jun was that in the past night, he did not have the slightest spiritual energy, the feeling of detoxification, nor did he have the pain of detoxification described in the books.
The early morning air was particularly fresh. Du Jun sat by the bed and took a long breath and rubbed his numb legs. He had not yet reached the state of marrow washing, so sitting cross-legged for a long time would make him lose his qi and blood.
Soon, a servant brought food. Du Jun ate it whole, but he was still thinking about practicing until the servant packed the remaining food, but he didn't even know what he had eaten.
Du Jun moved his body to relax his bloodlines, and then he went to bed again and began to practice.
It was like day after day, but after three months, he still did not reach the state of marrow washing. During this period, Qu Hou had come several times, and every time he saw his cultivation without any progress, he sighed and left. In this case, Qu Hou came less and less.
In cultivation, persistence is important, but if you blindly stick to it, you may not be worth the loss in the end. Du Jun is well aware of this kind of power, so on the first day of the fourth month, he started talking to the servant while he was sending food.
Du Jun did not ask anything else, but asked about the way to survive the new disciple. This servant was an old man who had been in Xuanyin for a long time, so he had extraordinary knowledge. After chatting for a while, Du Jun had a rough understanding of Xuanyin.
This Xuanyin inheritance has been passed down for thousands of years, and there are not many disciples of more than four generations. Most of these disciples are old monsters with great cultivation. They do not come out easily and do not care about the world. They are respected as Elder Tai. Therefore, the current Xuanyin Master and the Sanmai Master are all disciples of the Five Generations.
The disciples next to them are Elder Xuanyin, the sixth generation is individual guests, and the disciples of the seventh generation and less than seventh generation have no specific status, so if you want to gain a lofty status, you need to climb up step by step.
Thinking about the leader of Xuanyin Yan Zhu, who was originally an eighth generation disciple, achieved Gongji and sat firmly on the leader of Xuanyin. Even if the three meridians are the ones, they cannot scold them loudly. How powerful is it?
Du Jun didn't care about these ridicule, and his expression was still calm and he headed towards the inner valley. He had been very contradictory since he was a child. Sometimes he was as plain as water, and he became irritable, but he was stubborn.
Just like now.
Du Jun stood outside the inner valley and looked towards the inner valley, and saw a yin grass that was as thick as a thumb and one foot high, with lush branches and leaves. Its weight was probably less than two kilograms, but in the outer valley, there was also a ten-generation disciple who was also peeping at the yin grass.
This time, Du Jun did not retreat. He did not fight because the yin grass was not enough to make him moved. Now, this yin grass made him stubborn. The two teenagers stood in the outer valley, staring at each other, and insisting on the same.
This persistence is a desire for the great way. At this moment, both of them knew in their hearts that if anyone got this Yin grass, they would definitely be one small step ahead at the starting line of seeking Tao.
Don’t underestimate this small step. This small step leads can become the capital to obtain more pills.
