29. Downsizing

Lin Zhan didn't say anything, pointed inside and let him see it by himself.

Li Bayi looked around him and looked inside the cave, and found that he took off his night vision device again because he didn't really look real. This time he saw it.

There is a light source in front.

As we approached the past, the torch inserted into the cracks in the cave walls made a crackling sound, illuminating a range. A torch was inserted every ten meters.

There are no traces of orcs, but there are torches, which means that these orcs are more intelligent than they think.

The two missing female team members were probably inside, and Lin Zhan and his group were about to break in any case. Hiding in the dark, everyone came to the fire, reflecting the solemn faces of everyone.

That is, they have intelligence and strong physical strength, and this battle is probably difficult to fight. A small-scale flare has miraculous effects, but if one person is inside, it won’t matter if the orc is gone, and the two women will burn it first. This method does not work.

I walked deep into the interior along the winding and rugged cave, and I rarely encountered any traces of orcs along the way. Soon this passage reached its head and my eyes suddenly became clear.

The cave is wide and much larger than half a football field. The extremely high top gives everyone the illusion of shrinking by themselves. Stalactites are hanging upside down, and torches are inserted everywhere to illuminate the cave. Orcs have no sense of hygiene, and all kinds of bones and debris accumulate on the ground, dark in color. Perhaps there is still feces.

When he roughly swept through the cave environment and fell to the central bonfire, Lin Zhan's pupils shrank.

A beautiful figure was placed on a wooden stand by a bonfire. It was too far away to distinguish. But Lin Zhan confirmed that it was Ye Jingwen.

Something was roasting on the bonfire rack, and the aroma of barbecue was filled with. The group was anxious to go on the road and were a little hungry. However, they had no thoughts about the meat of this radiation creature, so they could only smell a few more bites.

The silence relapsed in his heart. Lin Zhan took a step away from his mind, and suddenly Li Bayi pressed his shoulder.

He took off the night vision device and said nodded to the surroundings. Lin Zhan then woke up and looked around. The cave was quiet and strange, with nothing but the crackling sound of torches. There was no trace of an orc.

There is no orc here.

There is a fraud?!

The eyes were re-positioned on Ye Jingwen, and she was hung on the shelf by a straw rope. Her head was buried deep, and her messy hair covered her blood-stained face, and her life and death were uncertain.

Without any reckless movement, Lin Zhan replaced the thermal imager. The most obvious thing was the red bonfire in the center. Ye Jingwen's light was suppressed and almost invisible. But the orange-purple color indicated that she was still alive. Lin Zhan breathed a long sigh and moved his direction. There was no other temperature object except torches. The orcs were obviously not cold-blooded creatures, so there were indeed no orcs here.

"How is it?" Li Bayi asked softly when he saw Lin Zhan take off the thermal imager.

"No problem, save people now." Lin Zhan said, and his body had already rushed to the bonfire in the middle. Li Bayi and others followed closely.

When they rushed to the bonfire, Lin Zhan had already separated the weed rope and rescued Ye Jingwen and lifted the development wire. Ye Jingwen was in a coma, his forehead was broken and his face was covered in blood. His thick expedition uniform was worn out, and his skin was exposed and scratched. It was almost foreseeable that she was dragged back by an orc.

"The team dispersed to find Evelyn. Li Bayi, go to the entrance of the cave to guard against the orcs block us." He quickly raised Ye Jingwen's arm and carried him behind him, and Lin Zhan turned to give instructions to the team members.

What surprised him was that everyone was silent, and the bonfire was shaking, with ferocious eyes below.

"What?" Lin Zhan subconsciously spoke out and turned his head to look at the place they were looking at.

Then he saw Evelyn.

A wooden stick pierced from behind Evelyn and ran out of her mouth. It was set on a bonfire to bake. The oil was roasted and dripped into the bonfire and sizzled.

The body was hard to see its appearance, and only the human figure was left after being roasted. The mouth was opened in despair, and the burned skin allowed her to maintain her painful appearance before her death.

The source of the barbecue in the cave is their companions.

Wow

Li Bayi stepped forward and lifted the bracket down. The body fell into the fire, and a large ball of Mars floated up like a fireflies. The heat wave swept around in an instant, and no one thought of avoiding it.

The corpse was swallowed by a bonfire and disappeared into the blazing flames.

Someone made dry retching.

Others either turned their heads and didn't look, or clenched their fists and nails and penetrated into the flesh.

Lin Zhan turned his head and went to see Ye Jingwen's blood-stained side face. The first thought that came out of his mind was that it was good that Ye Jingwen was fine. Then he regretted his dirty and sinful thoughts.

Ye Jingwen was very lucky. She was "supplementary" food, or she was rescued by Lin Zhan and others before she could be roasted.

"Retreat." Lin Zhan called out the players standing there and turned to look at one of the players: Charles, how many mines do you have?"

There was a slight tremor hidden under the plain voice. His mood was not as calm as it was on the surface.

"Four...five." The team member rubbed his sleeves off the saliva from his retching, and his eyes were crystal clear under the fire. I don't know if it was crying or retching."

"Use all, no one left." Lin Zhan's cold words seemed to make the surroundings lose their warmth. The bonfire seemed to have turned into paper, and no warmth was radiated.

No one was willing to stay and fight the orcs to death. These people were carefully selected. All of them were elites among the younger generation in various fields. The general outline of the mission was deeply instilled in everyone's mind.

Charles took out the mine and walked aside a few steps to bury the mine. As soon as he walked a few steps, an extremely slight crackling sounded, but was covered by the crackling sound of the bonfire.

Charles squatted down, set up the mine and pushed some dirt on it to cover the marks. Then he stood up and took a step to one side to bury the second mine.

Didi

At this moment, a sudden burst of thunderous sound came from his feet.

The others looked over subconsciously, and Charles subconsciously lowered his head.

"Let's go down!" Li Bayi's pupils shrank, and he rushed down Lin Zhan beside him. In an instant, a ball of fire exploded from Zamus's feet, swallowing Charles!

The deafening explosion echoed in the cave as the others lie down. The mines detonated all the mines on Charles' body, and the violent explosion even shook violently. The stalactite gravel on his head fell down and hit everyone.

Avoid accidental injury after burial. Instead of using broken mines to configure mines, shockwave mines are shockwave mines. This mine has a small range but is very powerful.

Everyone was only four or five meters away, and except for Charles, the others were not affected by landmines.

Gravel splashed everywhere, and everyone hugged their heads and curled up their bodies to reduce the area. The constantly shaking ground and rainy gravel made them worry about whether the cave would collapse and buried everyone.
