32. Separated
The ladder with black charcoal was lifted up by the church members and piled up in the corner of the church. There was already a piece of black charcoal here. Combined, it was obvious that these two people were white Edward and the female policeman in the play.
After joining Die Danny, Edward met with the high school students. When the world of Midland came, they ran to a shop on the side of the road. As it turned out, Wang Yao's judgment was extremely correct. When the world of Midland came, the surroundings turned into purgatory, and staying in a closed environment was only a dead end.
They encountered triangular heads and human-faced worms. When the wooden door was cut off and human-faced worms poured in, Edward decisively abandoned the high school student who was bitten and covered by human-faced worms, jumped out of the second-floor window to escape, and was lucky to find the church.
Edward believed that with his understanding of the plot, he could definitely impress these believers in exchange for peace. Unfortunately, he underestimated their pedantic ignorance, xenophobia, and brainwashing.
Just like an old saying, a scholar meets a soldier and cannot explain it clearly. He was trying to survive with his cleverness and was retribution.
How could Bishop Chrys tolerate such appearance among the believers, which would endanger her prestige.
The other church members divided their labours, piled up firewood and poured gasoline. They were busy. No one could have imagined that this was a prelude to the cruel and barbaric stolen stolen on people.
"Please Chrys, let her have a way out!" A gray-haired woman was restrained by everyone. She kept begging the bishop.
"Your weakness has made these souls judged, and this time you deserve to witness this happening." Chrys sternly criticized the woman. In her opinion, it would be because of her. If the demon Alesa had been successfully purified, how could he be trapped in this purgatory land for thirty years?
"She is innocent!" The woman struggled constantly, and someone threw stones at her. She was Alesha's biological mother. She had been almost burned to death because of her weakness. For the past thirty years, she had been immersed in pain and regret in her heart. At this time, facing Sharon, who looked exactly like Alesha, she was determined to protect her.
Alesa's biological mother was in her fifties, about the same age as the churchgoers around her. She seemed to be over 60 years old. The traces of time were more obvious on her.
"Look at her, the devil!" Bishop Chrys waved his sleeves, and pointed at Sharon, who was tied to the wooden ladder, and shouted loudly.
Chrys looked around the believers, and finally turned his eyes to Alesha's biological mother and said to the believers: "The devil uses her children to conceive sin and traps us here!"
"Burn her to death!" a believer shouted, and there was a sensation.
A crazy female monk pulled out a wooden stick from the bonfire and smashed it at Alesha's biological mother.
Alesa's biological mother was knocked out and fell to the ground.
"Ah--" Sharon screamed, closing his eyes and daring to look.
"Hey Sharon, don't be afraid, mom is here." Rose turned her head and comforted her daughter Sharon.
"Mother, will we die?" Sharon whispered to her mother. She was young and didn't quite understand the meaning of death.
"Of course not. My father must be looking for us, maybe he will come soon." Rose replied, calling her husband's name anxiously.
"She's here!" Christopher walked into the broken church on the gravel.
"Rose! Sharon!" He pulled off his mask, whirled in place, searching, calling on his wife and daughter's names.
The afterglow of the sunset penetrates the broken and collapsed church walls, placing Christopher with a warm color.
"They are not here." The old policeman behind him followed in and looked around the church, with a touching tone. Thirty years ago, he rescued Alesa here.
He looked down at his palm, which had a scar on it. It was the trace left by him as he tried to burn and unplug his handcuffs while saving Alesa on the stolen rack.
"I can feel it! They're here!" Christopher shouted. "Sharon! Rose!"
"Wear a mask." The old policeman helped Christopher wear a mask. The fires in the underground coal mine here are burning all year round, and the air is filled with toxic gases that are harmful to the human body.
"I smell her, her perfume." Christopher murmured, looking at a collapsed fence on the second floor of the church. Let the old policeman wear a mask for himself.
"Don't worry, we'll find them."
...
Downstairs, Chrys read the doctrine and encouraged the believers.
"This is where the revelation begins. We draw a line on the ground and shout 'Devil! You can't leap over!' Here we stop the destruction of the world. This is the only pure land of mankind! The devil cannot cross this line and invade our place!"
"But the devil is cunning and evil, and does not trust. So he comes again, and once again comes to us with a innocent face. If we want to drive away the devil, we must burn this child!"
"Once again, we gather together to restore purity. Burn this witch to conquer evil!"
Rose yelled with a useless struggle: "You can't do this! Don't listen to her nonsense! She's just a child, she doesn't know anything! What the hell is going on with you guys!"
She had no idea what was going on. After waking up from a car accident, she found that her daughter had disappeared, so she went to find her. After entering the ground, an air defense alarm sounded. She encountered the first world of inner world, and a nightmare made her faint. After waking up, she found that the surroundings had returned to a lifeless world of fog.
She returned to the place where the car accident was in, and tried to connect to the outside world with a phone, but unfortunately she failed. She then met a female policeman who was misunderstood as a human trafficker and was handcuffed. Then she met a terrible monster that was bound by her own skin. She fled while the female policeman shot and fought. Then... she successfully found her daughter. The policewoman also caught up and explained the whole story.
Afterwards, they met the believers and were taken to the church when they were confused and ignorant. At this point, the nightmare began.
If Wang Yao had learned about Rose's experience here, he would have been shocked to find that he had replaced Rose and almost completed the entire original plot.
In other words, I replaced Rose and became the protagonist!
Rose was still trying to tell them, "I come from the outside world, a world full of vitality. Chrys! Why don't you tell them the truth!"
"If you adopt a demon and help the evildoer, you will definitely be purified by the fire!" Chrys said righteously, ignoring Rose's question at all, and instead pointing the finger at her.
"Burn the witch to death! Burn her to death!" The ignorant believer raised his hands and agreed in unison.
"Whoever gives you the right to judge others!"
A creak - the door was pushed open, and a figure appeared outside the door, and there was such a thing...
