Chapter VIII A New Journey

When she left, Yang Yi did feel like she was escaping.

Things that cannot be seen at home were destroyed, things that cannot be seen at home were deleted on the computer, but they just packed up some clothes and personal supplies. Yang Yi only brought a box and left his home.

The car has been sold to a wealthy car friend. The price of 1.2 million yuan is not too low, but the poor Yang Yi can't even collect the money. He can't ask the buyer to carry 1.2 million yuan in cash to him, but he really doesn't have to worry about this kind of thing.

Li Fan's car was waiting downstairs, but Yang Yi felt that Li Fan was more like he was escorting him to the airport than simply sending him to the airport. The difference was very big.

After getting into the car, Yang Yi didn't say anything, mainly because he didn't know what to say. After Li Fan glanced at Yang Yi, he suddenly said, "How did you feel in the past few days?"

"Not happy, but nothing."

Yang Yi's real feelings were not as relaxed as he said, but he did not intend to express his true feelings, and Li Fan did not have the intention to go into this issue in depth.

"Just be able to adapt. If you really embark on the road to becoming a spy, then life in these few days will be the norm for you in the future. Give me your ID and mobile phone."

Yang Yi took out a plastic bag containing his mobile phone, as well as his ID card, household registration book, real estate certificate, student ID, passport, and all his useful or useless documents were included.

Li Fan took the plastic bag, then handed Yang Yi a passport, and whispered: "Your name is Yang Yi, but everything else has changed. You can write it down by yourself."

Yang Yi opened his passport and found a bank card and a plane ticket to London.

"The Bank of England card, your account name, contains 120,000 pounds. In addition to the money you sell the car, I'll make up for you."

Yang Yi whispered: "Didn't you tell you that you don't have to give me money? Uncle Li, I can't use that much, why do I give it back to you?"

Li Fan said expressionlessly: "It's always good to have more families and have more families. I can't help you with anything else. Just like that."

Yang Yi nodded and didn't say anything.

Li Fan stopped talking, he was not a person who talked a lot.

When the airport arrived, Li Fan looked at Yang Yi and whispered: "I won't go down to see you off. You'll be alone in the future... be careful."

Yang Yi nodded, he opened the car door, but when he was about to get off, Li Fan suddenly said, "Wait, you... are nothing, be careful."

Yang Yi sat back in his seat. He looked at Li Fan, then suddenly opened his arms and hugged Li Fan, whispering: "Uncle Li, thank you for taking care of me for so many years. Don't worry, I will be fine."

Li Fan shook his shoulders uneasy and whispered: "Yes."

Yang Yi let go of his arms, he got out of the car, closed the car door and watched Li Fan's car drive forward until he left his vision.

Yang Yi and Li Fan actually don’t have much deeper feelings, and they can’t be very close, because they have never seen each other several times, but this has nothing to do with him. But in fact, Yang Yi can imagine what he has done for him and what he has done behind his back.

Taking a deep breath, Yang Yi turned around and walked into the airport.

Li Fan had prepared everything for him, and Yang Yi, who had only brought a small suitcase, just walked onto the plane.

When boarding the plane, Yang Yi suddenly realized that this might be his last moment in this country, and his feet could never step onto this land again.

So Yang Yi lay on the ground and knelt on the ground and kissed the land under his feet in the surprised eyes of many people.

Without much complex emotions and no overwhelming patriotism, Yang Yi just wanted to kiss goodbye to this land that he might never be able to set foot on again.

The plane took off, and Yang Yi took back his gaze as everything familiar quickly became smaller and could not be seen until it was covered with clouds.

It's time to look forward.

Anyway, there is no way out.

But Yang Yi looked forward with a little confused, especially when he was walking in the UK, which had been away from for more than ten years, he was still a little nervous.

Everything went well when boarding the plane, so how could it be smooth when getting off the plane? Although Yang Yi had confidence in Li Fan, he really couldn't help but worry. It was not until the person at the immigration office stamped his passport that his worries finally disappeared completely.

There is no ID card in the UK. Although the British government had planned and tried to implement the ID card system, this decision was soon abolished.

Birth certificate, driver's license, passport, and bank statement can prove the identity of a British national, and Yang Yi has a passport and a bank card, which means that Li Fan has already solved the nationality problem for him.

After leaving the airport, Yang Yi really came to the UK. The most important thing he has at the moment is to buy a mobile phone and apply for a phone card, otherwise his confusion about the future will continue.

Although he has been away for eleven years, Yang Yi grew up in the UK, so of course there will be no problem with his language. What he still speaks is a pure and fluent London accent.

After buying the phone number, Yang Yi thought about whether to call the British phone number in the address book or call all five phone numbers.

This question seems very simple, but Yang Yi has not made up his mind since he got the address book, because they really have their own advantages and disadvantages. Now that he can call, he naturally has to make up his mind quickly.

In the end, Yang Yi decided to call it again in turn. At least, he had to find out whether the people in the address book left by his father could still contact him.

The first call was called a number from the Netherlands. The last time this number was intercepted by Li Fan, but this time there was no blockade. Soon, the phone was connected.

"Hello."

A very gentle female voice said something in Dutch, and Yang Yi said in a deep voice with a little nervous mood: "Hello, I'll look for Phyllis."

The woman on the phone also changed to English, and she said in confusion: "Sorry, I think you made the wrong call?"

Yang Yi whispered: "There is a possibility. Can I ask how long have you used this number?"

"It's been a long time, at least five or six years."

"Oh, then I really called the wrong one. Sorry to bother you, goodbye."

Yang Yi hung up the phone and called the first contact in his heart. This contact information was useless.

The second contact person was from the UK, but Yang Yi decided to call the UK in the end. Because he was in the UK, if he could contact him, the biggest possibility was to join the British man. So Yang Yi called the second call to the United States, and this number was a landline.

"Hello, I'll look for Mr. Mike Smith."

"Mr. Mike Smith? If you're not a prank, I want to tell you he died three years ago."

The phone was hung up, Yang Yi was stunned for a moment, dialed the third phone and called to Poland. This time he also hung up the phone quickly because it was just an empty number.

On the fourth call, Yang Yi called Xianggang. This time it was not an empty number, and someone answered it. However, a man talked for a long time but he didn't understand a word. The English he spoke obviously did not understand either.

Regardless of whether the person who answered the phone was looking for him or not, Yang Yi was not going to contact him anymore, because he and the person who answered the phone were obviously talking to each other and couldn't understand each other. Regardless of whether the other party really didn't understand or fake, the value of the contact number no longer existed.

Only the last number is left. Yang Yi was really nervous when dialing because he was afraid that the biggest legacy left by his father would have completely lost its meaning.

The phone dialed out and it was quickly connected, and a man who sounded old answered the phone.

"Good evening, who?"

Yang Yi took a breath and whispered: "Hello, I'll look for Mr. John Jones."

After a brief moment of silence, the person who answered the phone whispered: "I am, who are you."

Yang Yi took a deep breath, and then he said in a slightly trembling voice: "I am James Yang's son."

This time the silence lasted longer.

At least ten seconds, John Jones finally whispered: "James Young, that James Young? I don't remember knowing this person, let alone his son."

Yang Yi's heart was cold, then he thought for a moment and whispered: "He also has a name called Yang Sheng. He asked me to make this call. He left this call a long time ago."

John Jones was silent for a moment, and then he finally said, "I think of him, then what's wrong with you?"

"Yes, but I think it's better to meet and have a conversation."

John Jones immediately said, "No, no, I don't feel it necessary to meet, or you first talk about the purpose of finding me."

Yang Yi was asked because even he himself didn't know what to do after contacting the people on the list left by his father.

Although it was a list left by his father, although it was someone his father thought was trustworthy, eleven years have passed. So long has passed. God knows how many changes have happened. Can those who can be trusted still trust now?

Or, does Yang Yi dare to say what he really wants to do?

The ideal situation in the plan is to meet my father's old friend first, and at least he has to observe it first, but John Jones doesn't even want to meet, and then directly ask Yang Yi for the purpose of meeting him, so Yang Yi was really hesitant. Although he is not a person who cares about the past, he has to be more cautious in some things.

After hesitating for a moment, Yang Yi made the final decision. Now the only person who can contact is John Jones, so he has no choice at all.

"I want to tell you how my father died."

Semi-temporary, Yang Yi gave a reason, and after a moment of silence, John Jones whispered: "What if I don't want to hear it?"

"That's it, I'm sorry to bother you."

"Thanks."

John Jones immediately hung up the phone. By this time, Yang Yi was really completely confused.

But just as Yang Yi was thinking about what he should do next, his phone suddenly rang again.
