Eight hundred and thirty-four.(1/4)

The attack on Ernst cluster has begun!

The entire Dukeranburg was in war, the earth was burning, and the city was trembling. This was the sacrifice that all Germans in Dukeranburg had to suffer.

In the war to defend the country, personal interests are irrelevant. The most important thing is to keep this nation independent and free. This is also the most difficult, but it is necessary to do it.

All the Germans were involved in the battle, which made the New Zealand soldiers who were still persisting there feel great fear. They didn't know why they were in such a situation and why they wanted to participate in this war that did not actually belong to them.

But at this time, they no longer have to turn back. Death or surrender was their only choice.

Major General Ellington knew that his last moment had arrived. If he had to rely on his instinct, he wanted to resist to the end, but the facts told him how difficult it would be to do this.

He had never seen those German soldiers before, and he had never seen the attacks of those German soldiers before.

He knew that he and his troops could not hold on for much time.

Brigadier General Dolby in Hannover once again refused Ellington's request for reinforcements, which made Ellington angry but helpless.

Although it was his first time to participate in the most realistic battle, he still understood that if Dukeranburg was lost, could Hanover continue to persevere?

Unfortunately, Brigadier General Dolby didn't understand this truth.

Maybe the nightmare will soon come to Brigadier General Dolby.

The sound of gunfires in Dukelandburg did not stop all night. The sound of gunfires everywhere made New Zealand soldiers feel great despair. The fallen companions made them afraid and fear, making them not know when they would be like this.

Most of them could not bear such nightmare, so many chose to put down their weapons. Although this would damage the honor of a soldier, what else could be better than living?

By dawn, about a thousand New Zealand soldiers died in battle, and a large number of soldiers surrendered, which made Ellington’s decision time.

Supported aircraft cannot be seen, and supported reinforcements cannot be seen either.

What makes people more desperate than war is the abandonment of friendly forces.

Ellington was therefore unwilling to continue such a war.

He contacted the German side and expressed his willingness to surrender, and the German side quickly gave him the most positive response:

Before 11 noon, if the New Zealand Army's 7th Division can put down their weapons, their lives will be guaranteed to the greatest extent.

Enough, it is enough to have such a promise.

Ellington ordered all New Zealand soldiers to stop fighting at 8 o'clock.

This is also a great relief for New Zealand soldiers.

They walked out of the temporary positions one after another, and threw away the weapons in their hands one after another.

Living is always the same thing that most people pursue the most.

The battle in Dukelandburg was over, and the Ernst cluster won the battle without much effort!

But there is nothing to be happy about. The New Zealanders are very weak in combat and are not prepared for the first war they face. The upcoming attack on Hannover is the most important thing.

The Americans would give up their allies' troops, but Westmoreland would never allow the 21st Marine Brigade to suffer the same fate.

They will defend Hanover at all costs.

Wang Weiyi fulfilled his promise, and he did not make things difficult for the surrendered New Zealand soldiers. He even had a brief conversation with Ellington.

Ellington was very happy to meet Baron Alexander, just as he felt exactly the same when he didn't have to face death.

"I think, maybe I will be released after the war is over..." Ellington told the other party frankly: "But I will not wear this military uniform again from now on. War is completely different from what I imagined. I will do what I like to do more, and I will always forget about war completely. And I will tell my children to stay away from the war that should be cursed...."

Stay away from the war that should be cursed forever.
To be continued...
