marshal, general(1/2)
A new French leader has finally been born!
On August 11, 1966, General Robito was promoted to Marshal of France and served as interim president of the French government. He would stay in this position until the national election six months later.
Robito's coming to power meant that the French military government was born.
The emergence of this military government is very special, and countless things that could not have happened catalyzed the establishment of this government.
What kind of results will the military take over power? Not many people have thought that all the French are tired of war. The most important thing for them is how to end civil strife as soon as possible and to give the French a safe and peaceful environment as soon as possible.
Maybe Robito is not the most suitable candidate, but is there anyone who is more suitable to lead France than him in the current situation?
There was no one, so the French had to put all their hopes on Robito.
After becoming the French president, Robito quickly made the first appointment that was somewhat surprising:
Former French police chief Fetim Berkeley appointed as the French government prime minister.
To be honest, Berkeley's reputation was not very good before, and he always appeared in the French reign of terror. It is probably difficult to calculate the people who died at his hands. However, after the French Grand Prix began, Berkeley's performance was shocking, especially in the arrest of former French President Catri, former French Prime Minister Sinager and former French Defense Minister Lucien, Berkeley played a decisive role.
On the day of appointment, Robito commented on Berkeley:
"In the past, it has indeed been misunderstood by some people, but it is always difficult for people to understand a great sentimental mind... The reason why the French Grand Prix was able to succeed was that it was absolutely impossible to achieve without the help of Prime Minister Berkeley. In countless struggles, he could always see his hidden figure. He used his relationships to help the people, but his name was always linked to his special identity and dirty...** has won. I can proudly tell every Frenchman that Prime Minister Berkeley is a heroic figure. His rich political experience is enough to help France overcome the current difficult period. He is the most suitable candidate for the position of the French Prime Minister...."
No one has ever given Berkeley such a high evaluation.

Robito's evaluation also made ordinary French people fall into a confusion.

.
.
.
Of course, they cannot know the true situation of the government. They can only know what is happening to the top leaders from government announcements or newspapers.

.
Since the respected President Robito also gave Prime Minister Berkeley such a high evaluation, then all this may be true.

So the French accepted their new prime minister.

Everything is going on in an orderly manner, and those who gain power try to use all means to stabilize their status, while those losers in political struggles have to swallow a bitter fruit.
Former French government officials and the so-called "Vendal Cabal" were the biggest victims. After the establishment of a new French government, a special court was quickly established and they would be responsible for investigating the crimes of these people.
Most of the arrested persons of Berkeley and the "Vendal Cabal" were a deal. As long as they were willing to admit their crimes, they would only be sentenced to a very light sentence and would receive a large amount of unofficial compensation when they were released from prison.
These people knew very well who they were dealing with. A demon in the eyes of a man who used to be a murderer and an executioner who would not blink. He could hide from ordinary French people, but he could never hide it in front of them. For his own life and for the safety of his family, these people had no choice but to agree to all Berkeley's requests.

.
.
.
Only the "leader" of the "Vandal Cabal" firmly rejected any coercion and inducement from Berkeley.
.
.
.
.
.
He vowed to fight for himself in court.

"Do you know what the consequences will be?" Berkeley asked the last time.
"Of course I know." Wendal looked at a hateful executioner contemptuously: "I will die in prison, and my family will be persecuted by you, but I will not surrender. One day, history will give me my innocence! I am loyal to my motherland and my nation, and I have never been a traitor to France!"
Berkeley stood up and smiled: "A childish guy. Deputy Speaker of Vendal, here I can say frankly that you have never formed a cabal, you have never betrayed France, but we need to find someone like you. Do you know? I just put the opportunity in front of you, and you can completely control your own destiny. Three years, when you confess and accept three years of prison life, you will only stay in prison for three months at most, and then be pardoned by the President, and you will live a very happy life. Of course, there are your family. But you have completely given up on such an opportunity...."
Wendal just returned to the person in front of him with contemptuous eyes.

On August 12, 1966, Wendal, the "leader of the "Wandal Cabal", committed suicide in detention. He ended his life with a belt. Although there were certain doubts about Wendal's suicide, the doubts soon disappeared without a trace as time passed.
On August 13, the special court announced the trial at a surprising speed, and held a public trial on former senior French government officials and members of the "Vendal Cabal".
Those in the "Vendal Cabal" were first taken to court. Their trial went very quickly. They all admitted their crimes readily. They told the judge that they had to do some shameful things under the coercion and temptation of Wendal, including the assassination of the meritorious Captain Hays.
The justices made their own judgment, and they were sentenced to prison ranging from one to three years. The sentence was so light or more large than many people expected. In fact, the reason was very simple, and all the crimes were shirked to Vendal.
Anyway, dead people will never be able to speak.

On August 14, the climax of the special court came, and those former government officials who were deeply hated by French citizens will be tried justice!
The first person to be taken to court was Didion Lucien, the former French Minister of Defense. Lucien, who appeared in court, was so haggard that he had completely lost the style of the French marshal. In the face of accusations of 17 more than he had against him, Lucien seemed to have lost all the courage to fight, and he admitted all his crimes.
He even cried in court, thinking that he had been deceived by Katri and Sinager, so he committed such a serious crime. He asked the court and the French nationals to forgive his crimes, and he begged the court and the French people to give him a chance to make up for his crimes for the rest of his life.
The justice made his own judgment and he was sentenced to life imprisonment. This was probably the best result he could imagine for Lucien.
In the afternoon, when the special court reopened, former French President Catri and former French Prime Minister Sinager appeared in the court together.
They were once arrogant in France now look like two poor people.
To be continued...
