Eight hundred and eighty.
Northern Ireland, 1966.
In Northern Ireland, there was a once glorious paramilitary organization called the "Irish Republican Army".
The Irish Republican Army was established in 1919 and is a military institution of the Irish Sinn Fein Party. It is headquartered in Dublin and its members are distributed in North and South Ireland. In December 1921, the United Kingdom signed a treaty with Ireland, allowing 26 counties in southern Ireland to establish a "free state" and enjoy autonomy. The six counties in the north were assigned to Britain, namely Northern Ireland. In 1922, the Irish Republican Army was suppressed for opposing the division of Ireland into two parts of the North and South.
After Ireland's independence in 1937, Northern Ireland was still under British rule. The Irish Republican Army announced that it would continue to fight for the unity of the north and the south and carry out violent activities. In 1939, the Irish Republican Army began to create explosions in Britain and was banned by the Irish and the British government. In October 1954, it announced that it would stop military activities in southern Ireland and point the finger at the British army in Northern Ireland, aiming to unify Ireland by force.
By the 1960s, the organization had basically disintegrated.
However, this military organization, which was declared illegally armed by the British government at that time, regained its vitality after the outbreak of the war.
They received full support from foreign funds and weapons, and their personnel were greatly expanded. There are even rumors that the IRA has a secret military base overseas, which is specifically responsible for training military personnel to maintain the combat effectiveness of the entire organization.
This rumor is not groundless. Belt Adams, the leader of the IRA, knew that all this was true. Not only did they receive funds and weapons from abroad, they did have secret military bases overseas.
Since the outbreak of the war, the Queen was in exile and the new British government was established, which brought great opportunities to the dying IRA. Especially when the war situation became more and more beneficial to the Axis powers, the Fenton government had already been in trouble and they no longer had more energy to focus on the Irish and IRAs.
And this also allowed Belt Adams to see the possibility of victory.
More than a dozen trucks slowly appeared. When the truck stopped, Edward, the capable subordinate of Belt Adams, jumped out of the first truck and came to Belt Adams: "Leader, a new group of combat members have completed the training, and our allies have also delivered new weapons."
"Edward, I saw the dawn of victory." Belt Adams suppressed his inner excitement.
"There is even more gratifying news." Edward said immediately: "Our allies, our staunchest supporter, Mr. A fell."
Belt Adams was surprised.
"Mr. A", this is the code name of the largest provider of funds and weapons of the IRA. At the same time, the IRA's military training bases overseas are also under the responsibility of this "Mr. Adams, but Belt Adams has never seen "Mr. A". When he heard this name, Belt Adams asked quickly: "Where is Mr. A?"
Only then did he notice that there was a black car in the middle of the truck queue. After a while, the door of the car opened and an old man walked out of it.
Adams hurriedly met him: "You are Mr. A?"
"Yes, I am." The old man smiled: "Hello, Mr. Belt Adams, when we contacted me, I was Mr. A. Now, you can call me Tinland Will Tinland."
"Will Tinland?" Adams thought the name sounded very familiar, but he couldn't remember where he had heard it.
"The President of the Mengtejiao Group." Edward whispered in Adams' ear.
Adams was a little stupid when he heard this. He could not imagine that "Mr. A" who was always helping him would be the president of Mengtejiao Group.
"Former President, now my company has been handed over to my son to take care of..." Will said with a smile: "And my main job at the moment is to help you realize your dreams."
"It is my honor to be able to know you." Adams finally woke up from his shock: "Mr. Tinland, welcome you here. I believe that with your help, we will be able to complete the unity of the north and south of Ireland."
This is the dream of the IRA and the dream that Adams wants to realize throughout his life.

Ireland's problems have existed for a long time, negotiations, violence, negotiations, and violence have always been flooded in Ireland, and the opposition between Protestants and Roman Catholics has also become an extremely sharp contradiction.
In the early 20th century, due to the instigation of the Irish parliamentary party, most of whom were Protestants and lived in Ulster's union against autonomy and Irish independence, fearing to live in a Catholic country dominated by the Roman Catholic Church. In 1912, under the leadership of Edward Carson, the United faction signed the Ulster Alliance Treaty, vowing to resist decentralization by force if necessary. For this reason, they established the paramilitary organization Ulster Volunteer Army.
And imported weapons from Germany. Nationalists formed the Irish Volunteer Army, with the ostensible purpose of ensuring that the decentralization after World War I was not resisted by British or United Nations elements. However, the Irish Volunteer Army was gradually infiltrated by members of the Irish Republican Brotherhood, such as Patrick Pierce. In 1914, World War I transferred the crisis and postponed the resolution of Irish independence. Although the decentralization was adopted by the British Parliament, it was temporarily suspended during the war.
But this problem was inspired by the Easter uprising launched by the Irish Republican Brotherhood members in Dublin. Although the rebellion was suppressed, the execution of 15 leaders of the uprising greatly radicalized the Irish nationalists. The issue of independence reached its peak in December 1918, and the separatist Sinn Fein won most of the Ireland seats, established the Irish Parliament in Dublin, leaving the United Kingdom, although it was not recognized by Britain or other countries at the time. At the same time, the fraternity volunteers regarded themselves as the army of the Republic of Ireland and began to launch armed attacks on government forces in January 1919, killing two Catholic policemen who were transporting Gri explosives in Soloheidberg, County Tipperary.
During a guerrilla war between the Irish Republican army volunteers in 1920, the Irish Government Act divided the Irish Island into two separate jurisdictions: "Southern Ireland" and "Northern Ireland". The division of Ireland was confirmed by the 1921 British-Iran Treaty, which ended the guerrilla war in the south and established the Irish Free State—a nearly independent Irish state—in 1949 and became a republic and completely independent. This agreement recognized the large differences among the Irish people mainly concentrated in the ancient Ulster province, hoping to remain as part of the Protestant and overall remaining in the United Kingdom, demanding a huge division between the independent Catholics from Britain.
Under such circumstances, in 1922, the Irish civil war broke out.
The main reason for the outbreak of the war was the signing of the "English-Iraq Treaty".
The British-Iran Treaty was born out of Irish separatists, which organized the British-Iran war between the Republic of Ireland and the British government. The treaty stipulated that the establishment of an autonomous Irish state would control most of Ireland's population and land, and possess its own army and police. However, it stipulated that the country, like Canada and Australia, was an autonomous dominant in the British Empire, with the British monarch as the head of state, rather than an independent republic as most nationalists praised. The treaty also stipulated that members of the new Irish parliament must read the following "Opinion of Allegiance":
"I solemnly swear to be sincerely convinced and loyal to the Irish Free State Constitution established by law, in accordance with the duties of general citizens of Ireland, with the nations of Great Britain and its dependent and joining the great British family, and to His Majesty King George V, and his descendants and legal heirs."
The oath aroused strong opposition from many Irish republicans. Under the treaty, the new country was not called a republic but a "free state", and only included 26 counties in western and southern Ireland. The remaining six counties remained in the United Kingdom as Northern Ireland. In addition, several strategic ports were still occupied by the Royal Navy. Despite this, Michael Collins, the leader of the republican negotiating group, persuaded that the treaty "did not give the most fundamental freedom to all nations desire and pursue, but to achieve freedom." The subsequent events eventually proved that he was right, and the free state later evolved into an independent republic. However, in 1922, anti-treasury fighters believed that the treaty would never lead to the complete independence of Ireland.
The war lasted for more than eight months before it ended.
The anti-treaty republicans failed, but their armed struggle never stopped.
As the new leader of the IRA, Adams hopes to see his organization win more than anyone else, and to wash away the shame of the failure of the anti-Treaty Republicans in the Irish Civil War.
And now it is obvious that this opportunity has appeared in front of him.
Will Tingland, a world-renowned chaebol, has become their most determined ally, and has maximized the financial problems that have always been tense. What else is more exciting than this?
Adams accompanied Mr. Will Tingland to check his base and armed forces. It can be seen that Will was quite satisfied with the IRA.
"Mr. Adams, I must remind you that the large-scale attack on Britain by the Axis powers is about to begin." After returning to Adams' command, Will said: "This is perhaps the best opportunity for you and the IRA to carry out the largest armed uprising in the history of the IRA, before October 8."
Adams didn't seem to understand particularly: "Mr. Tinland, why was it before October 8?"
"Because on October 8, the Axis powers will launch a full-scale landing battle."
Mr. Tingland's words made Adams a little confused. How did a businessman know such a military secret, such a specific date that only senior leaders of the Axis military know?
"Mr. Adams, do you think I am the only one who supports you behind your back?" Will smiled on his face: "No, you are wrong. You can't do all this with the power of me alone. A huge organization, or more accurately, a huge regime, always supporting you and your IRA."
There are so many things that surprised Adams today, but none of them surprised Adams more than these words.
A huge regime always supports himself and his IRA? Since he became the leader of the "IRA", he has never known this.
"Mr. A" - Will Tinland's support for himself started last year. Before that, the IRA lacked funds and weapons. It was Mr. Tinland's intervention that changed all this. Now Mr. Tinland's words are obviously sending a signal that the IRA and the stronger allies than Mr. Tinland.
"Mr. Adams, Germany." Will said the name of the country: "Germany has always been selfless and silently providing support to the IRA, especially in terms of weapons. They are willing to see Ireland achieve unity and help you achieve your dreams. Let's say it more clearly, Marshal Ernst Breme, Baron Alexand, dominated all this, and it is his persistence that has fundamentally changed your organization."
When Adams heard the name, he was moved.
Baron Alexander, the Hell Knight sent to the earth, the undefeated legend.
Adams suddenly discovered that victory was firmly in his hands. Germany and Baron Alexanderson would be the greatest guarantee for the victory of the IRA.
"Please convey my gratitude to the Baron and Germany for me." Adams said respectfully: "When Ireland has completed the unity, I will let everyone know the Baron's help to us."
"No, I don't think I can convey this for you." Will's answer was somewhat unexpected: "It would be better if you face him, because your Baron will arrive in Ireland soon."
Adams had forgotten to be surprised, but at the same time, there was also an excitement rising in his heart:
The Baron will arrive in Ireland!
The IRA is about to face the regular army, the Republican army, which has been under guerrilla warfare for a long time, lacks the experience of head-on confrontation with the government's National Army. If it is commanded by the baron, everything will become different.
"Do you say the Baron will arrive in Ireland in person?" Adams decided to confirm the news.
Will nodded solemnly: "Yes, I have contacted the Baron before I arrived in Ireland, and he will personally guide your armed struggle. Of course, we will launch an armed uprising in advance before this!"
Adams became excited.
"Do you have a map here?"
"Of course." Adams brought the Northern Ireland map. Will pointed to the map and said, "Moyer, our uprising will begin first from Moyer. It is close to Laslin Island, and it is easy to advance and retreat, and can get support from the sea. Mr. Adams, what we can ensure is that weapons will be delivered to you continuously."
Adams looked at the map carefully: "Yes, this is a good place for the uprising, here we have a lot of sympathizers, and I'm sure we can get support from the locals. I think the only thing we have to deal with there is the Interior Guard, and the Interior Guard is equally likely to win them on our side."
The Interior Guard is a special force that emerged during the Irish Civil War.
The civil war was short and bloody. Many upper-class people died, including Michael Collins, who was honored as the founding father of Ireland. Both sides had atrocities: anti-treason murders of parliamentarians and burned many monuments; the government formally or secretly executed anti-treason prisoners. The National Army supporting the treaty suffered more than 800 casualties, and a total of 4,000 deaths. Another 1,200 Republican troops were detained until the end of the civil war, and most were not released before 1924. From October to November 1923, as many as 8,000 Republican prisoners went on a hunger strike to protest continued imprisonment.
However, it is still controversial whether the casualties in the Irish Civil War could be even more severe. The number of deaths is insignificant compared to other civil wars at that time. In addition, the new police force, the Internal Guard, was not involved, meaning that the Free State could establish a non-armed and politically neutral police force after the war.
There are also sympathizers of the IRA in this army. They even gave the Republican Army some secret help, but in return the Republican Army promised not to launch an attack on the Internal Guard.
"Compassion and total support are not the same." Will moved his sight away from the map: "Col. Tarrant, the commander of Moyer's Interior Guard, knows me, and I think I can visit the commander in advance."
"I must thank you again for your support," Adams said gratefully: "I asked Edward to bring a few people to follow you to keep you safe."
"I think I will not be hurt in Ireland. Of course, it is best for someone to follow me." Will said with a smile: "During these days, I hope you can prepare for the armed uprising in full swing. Three days later, you must arrive in Moyer in person to command the armed uprising, and I will be waiting for you there."
"Yes, Mr. Tinland." Adams nodded seriously and said, "We have 2,000 armed personnel in Moyer. At the same time, I will transfer the armed personnel here to Moyer one after another. When the uprising, I think we can have about 5,000 combat members, which is a huge force."
Will smiled: "I think, don't forget the elite policemen of the Interior Guard."
