Germanic Major League(1/2)

"You just have time to come out?" the other party finally asked.

"I'm free at two o'clock," Solomon replied calmly. From the reflector, you can clearly see a clear scar under the other person's temple.

"My name is Simon," the other party introduced himself, while reaching his hand out of the seat, his eyes still staring ahead. "Two red dices are now in my hands. I am authorized to give you the task."

Solomon shook Simon's hand and waited for him to continue explaining. However, Simon began to be busy fiddling with his car. A traffic accident occurred ahead and the road was blocked. He drove the car into the middle of a truck and a black car, picked up the conversation again, and his tone was full of treacherous stories. "We sent you this time to bring you a pair of big scissors used by the gardener to cut a sunflower for us. That is, sunflower, which is the code name for this action plan."

Solomon couldn't help but feel respect for this man. The man smiled on the surface, but in fact, there was murderous intent hidden in his blue eyes. He was completely different from the driver who had been a few minutes ago.

"Sunflower is the code name for Anne Carouse," Simon continued, "I think you know who she is."

"Of course I know," Solomon replied. Although Anne Carouse was only four years old, she was already famous all over the world. She is a real pearl - the only daughter of current Vice President Carouse.

Solomon leaned forward and said, "What mission? Do you want to be a bodyguard? I never do anything like a bodyguard."

Simon giggled, "Hmph, I don't think they will let you do it either. But this mission is extraordinary, we want you to hijack her. Do you understand?"

Simon settled Solomon in an apartment house near Riverside Avenue.

Solomon poured himself a glass of Scotch whiskey. Suddenly, he heard something moving behind his back. Suddenly, his muscles were tense, and his hands moved to the gun handle at his waist. However, he did not turn around, but stood still, staring at the copper plate hanging above the wine cabinet at the corner of his eyes. Then, he immediately relaxed, picked up the bottle and poured another glass of wine.

"This time, your footsteps are not as light as the last time." After saying that, he nodded slightly to the copper plate on the wall, and the faces of the two people were reflected in the copper plate at the same time. Then, he turned around and looked at the person who came. The other party was wearing a pair of faded work pants and an old hat, and his beard was not shaved one day.

Solomon raised his glass: "Cheers to my old friend McLean."

McLean picked up the whiskey and then sat down face to face.

"It seems," Solomon said lightly: "You want me to abduct Vice President Carouse's daughter. Why is that?"

"Do you have to know?"

“My loyalty has never been doubted.”

McLean stood up with a gloomy face and paced back and forth indoors. "The CIA leaked information." He finally said, "Someone provided intelligence for Germany. This guy is an upper class, and the upper class."

Solomon nodded without saying a word. This is not a big news. This kind of thing happens from time to time at the CIA and is not uncommon.

"At first," McLean said: "There are four people who are doubtful. We examined them one by one, and all four of them passed. So we had to focus on another person. Because of his outstanding status, he was not included in the review. It was incredible that he was actually a man who could enter and exit the Oval Office at will, with his power second only to the President!"

Solomon stared at the other person in a flash, with a look of surprise on his face. "Are you kidding?"

McLean shook his head.

"You mean CIA Director William Francis Rayburn?"

"It's him."

Solomon leaned on the back of the chair all at once. No wonder they issued him a double red emergency warning! No wonder McLean became so easy to get angry. It turned out that the head of the CIA he had served for many years was actually a traitor! Moreover, he was the president's campaign adviser and chief foreign policy adviser!

What kind of thing the president does not have his share? This is not enough. He is still the president’s closest friend!

"This is really tricky," Solomon said.

"It's not just a tricky one, it's an explosive event. Of course, the president will not believe us easily. He wants us to provide sufficient evidence. In this way, we will focus on the vice president's daughter."

Only then did Solomon realize that this is a big bait!

"Yes," McLean continued, "in order to test Rayburn, we decided to hijack the vice president's daughter. We created illusions to the outside world. It seemed that Anne Carouse had fallen into the clutches of the enemy. Rayburn had the responsibility to find Anne." He smiled meaningfully. "We will make some subtle arrangements that will make him unpredictable and even go desperate, and finally lure him into a desperate situation."

"Forcing him to ask for help," Solomon said slowly, "this plan is too bold and too dangerous."

"Yes, I'm a little bolder. But there's no other way. If his daughter is missing, the vice president must have Rayburn report the situation at any time. If Rayburn cannot be found, his prestige will decline, his power will be weakened, and his relationship with the vice president and even the president will be alienated. By then, he will have to go all out to find the friends behind him to help him get out of the predicament."

Solomon nodded and agreed. Although this was a clever plan, it was the biggest adventure in his life. He drank whiskey silently, and what he thought in his mind was no longer the purpose and motivation of action, but the plan and method of action.

"This matter must be done as I do."

"Of course." McLean quickly made a statement.

"You must not hurt that girl."

"That's all right. You must not let Anne Carouse be in danger. Once you succeed, you must transfer her abroad."

Solomon looked puzzled when he heard this. He was considering how he was so cautious in the White House that he could hijack people through layers of obstruction. Now, McClell actually asked him to break through the tightly guarded American border!

"It's so light!" Solomon said with a sneer.

McLean smiled slightly: "I admit that this task is very difficult. However, the kidnapping must be rendered with international color. Otherwise, Rayburn would not turn to the Germans."

Solomon nodded in agreement.

"It's better to bring her to Greece where someone will pick her up."

"Okay, just bring it to Greece. What should I do in the future?"

"Wait for my order. I will come to you. Then you hand over the child to me and I will take her back to China. Before that, you have to try to hide her. It will probably take more than two weeks."

"Who will arrange the matters of false clues?" Solomon asked.

"Simon will do it. By the way, Simon will be responsible for the contact between you and me."

The doorbell rang. It was Simon who came in.

McLean looked at Solomon: "What else do you need? Please bring it up, everything will be done."

"Thirty thousand dollars in cash."

"That's all?"

"This is for pocket money, and I will talk about it again in the future. But money is not the only thing I need."

Simon took the briefcase in understanding and put it on his leg. "This is the archive material of Anne Carouse. From the time she woke up in the morning until she went to bed at night, we all knew clearly about the activities all day. There was also some materials about the guards." He looked up at Solomon: "Six agents guarded Little Anne day and night."

Solomon took the material. "The girl has no big problem. What I need is the daily activities of the people beside her."

McLean told Simon: "You can do it."

"I also need to know the correspondence between the White House."

"The White House has 75,000 letters per week! What letters do you want to know?" Simon interrupted.

"Then remove the letters of compliment or swearing, and letters such as asking for photos. I want all the rest."

McLean nodded in approval.

"I also need to know Anne's exact height and weight."

"What else?" asked McClellin.

"There is another problem. It's a harsh problem."

Solomon was thinking about the risks he would face. He was not afraid of losing his life, but he was afraid of losing his freedom. If the matter was exposed, he would have to taste the iron window. He would not even dare to think about this problem for many years.

In the past, the CIA allowed him to have the right to go beyond the law and act without authorization when performing his mission. But this time, his actions will exceed the scope of the CIA's jurisdiction. Of course, Rayburn himself would not grant him such power.

"Who will directly issue this mission?" Solomon asked.

McClane shook his head and said he was helpless. "I can't tell you."

Solomon shrugged: "Then I have to refuse. I can't perform this unreasonable task just by your own words."

After a long silence, McLean finally said, "I think you have the right to know who you are carrying out this task under. Tell you the truth, the protection comes from the highest level, that is, from the President himself."

The President himself! Solomon was really shocked now.

"President?" he finally said, "Did the President personally agree to hijack the Vice President's daughter?"

"Yes, the President understands. It's important, it's necessary."

"I dare say that he has the courage!" Solomon took a sip of wine.

"How is it? Did you agree to do it?"

"I have nothing to say, I'll do it!" Solomon replied calmly...

......

Solomon opened the bundle of mail sent to him by Simon. In the process of cleaning up such a large number of letters, several letters finally caught his attention.

He smiled proudly, the plan of hijacking was already in mind. He walked to the record player and chose a record. The violin concerto played by Italian composer Verdi by Franz Heinemen. The rough, majestic, high and exciting melody made him inspire how to bring "sunflowers" abroad.

Solomon drove to Pier 92 and was waiting near the customs. He had a cold expression, calm manner and generous dress, all of which was very consistent with the black public sedan he was riding in.

The passengers began to disembark. Solomon carefully searched for the face that had already left a deep impression after watching a movie film of hundreds of meters. In fact, it was more than just the face. Everything about the man had been stored in the memory warehouse in his brain: Edward Drake, born in Manchester, England, forty-six years old, six feet tall, weighed 180 pounds, black hair and brown eyes, and a photographer. He was similar to his body.

The face finally appeared. The man carried the camera and the suitcase in his hand. Solomon followed him forward.

"Mr. Drake? Mr. Edward Drake?"

The other party was deeply surprised. "Yes, you are--"

"Frank Jackson, of the US Security Service." Solomon showed his ID.

Drake looked at the ID. "What's the point?"

"It's not a big deal," Solomon calmed down, "but before you go to Indian Springs, you need to know something about it. I have a car and ask a few questions on the way. Then I'll take you to the hotel."

"I'm happy. I booked a room in Algokin. Is it far from here?"

"Argokin? No, not far. But there was a big fire on Sixth Street and the traffic was blocked. I'm afraid I have to go around in circles." Solomon explained in a humble and arrogant manner.

"We have questions about you from 1962 to 1963. You were not in England at that time, were you?"

“Yes, I’m in Australia.”
