Chapter 3 Chefs and Humans

Zhang Yang forced himself to calm down, but his arms were too strong, and he couldn't use any strength at this moment. He inadvertently glanced at the rotten flesh on the ground, and felt his stomach rolling, and he endured it and did not vomit.

"I'll get used to it!"

Zhang Yang thought silently in his heart that he had grown up in an orphanage since he was a child, and he had long developed a character of not giving up easily when encountering problems. He forced himself to cheer up, picked up the shield and steel pipe and was about to leave, but at this moment, a golden light spot inside the pile of rotten meat attracted his attention.

Zhang Yang used a steel pipe to push the pile of rotten meat away and found a golden round coin. He suppressed the discomfort in his stomach and picked up the golden coin. The golden coin was carved with a demon's avatar on both sides. Looking closely, it looked very much like Bahak, the guardian of the Gate of Hell.

"Kill monsters and get rid of gold coins?" Zhang Yang was a little stunned, but he still put the gold coins in his arms. He knew nothing about this world, and now he urgently needed to find a gathering place for humans to understand the situation of this world. Zhang Yang cheered up and began to walk towards a supermarket not far away. If he wanted to survive, food and water were necessary. So Zhang Yang planned to try his luck to see if he could find some sealed food. Although his hope was slim, he still had to give it a try.

In order to prevent another zombie attack, Zhang Yang walked very carefully, especially before entering the supermarket. He kept observing the surroundings until he confirmed that there was no abnormality and then pushed the door and walked in. The shelves were in a mess. It was obvious that after a major cleaning, there were dry blood on the ground. Even in the corner of the supermarket, Zhang Yang found several headless corpses.

Zhang Yang walked over carefully, guarding the shield on his left hand, holding the steel pipe horizontally in his right hand, with a solemn look on his face. He was sure that these corpses were definitely normal humans during their lifetime, because judging from their clothing and skin color, they were very different from the zombie.

Squatting down, Zhang Yang carefully observed the wound of the corpse. It was caused by a sharp weapon to be cut off. The wound on the neck was very smooth, the blood had already dried up, the corpse had begun to rot, and a strong stench of corpse was emitted.

"Although I don't know what they encountered, at least it's certain that there should be humans nearby." Zhang Yang thought of this and began to flip the dead body. Although he didn't want to, he had to do so. Unfortunately, he got nothing except a piece of dry bread wrapped in a plastic bag.

Zhang Yang looked at the dry bread in his hand and couldn't help swallowing, but he couldn't eat it now. Who knows how long he would have to wander here? Let's leave this little food at the most critical time. Zhang Yang walked around the supermarket for a few times, found some knives and a military-green travel backpack, and finally he found a well-fitting dress to put on it.

After stuffing the backpack with various knives, Zhang Yang felt a little relieved. At least he would no longer use steel pipes to bucket zombies. It would be easier to cut with a knife. When he walked out of the supermarket, Zhang Yang finally had more confidence. He had to continue to explore and find the footprints of human beings.

For three days, Zhang Yang explored aimlessly in this empty city. Relying on a small piece of dry bread, Zhang Yang survived. During these three days, he was surprised to find that his body actually had amazing endurance. He could maintain his vigorous energy for twenty-four hours by just a small bite of dry bread every day. In the past three days, he had been attacked by at least ten zombies. Fortunately, Zhang Yang was becoming more and more calm in dealing with them, from the previous struggle to the easy and unharmed killing now. Zhang Yang became more and more confident in his body. The endurance of this body seemed to have no end, and he even had very strong recovery ability. His wounds often recovered as before in one night, which also made him lose his worries and his courage.

After killing ten zombies, Zhang Yang seemed to have an illusion. A strange warm current appeared in his body. He couldn't tell what this warm current was, but the only thing that was certain was that it was definitely related to killing zombies himself. Because every time he killed a zombie, the warm current would increase significantly.

"Since you can kill monsters and you can get gold coins. Perhaps this strange feeling is that you are absorbing the experience of killing monsters?" Zhang Yang, who has been fascinated by ARPG games since he was a child, is really looking forward to his own changes.

On the morning of the fourth day, Zhang Yang began another day of action. He carried the military green travel bag, held a shield in his left hand and a twenty-centimeter-long steel knife in his right hand, and continued to move towards the depths of the city. When passing by a restaurant, a huge roar came from the restaurant.

Zhang Yang held the shield in front of him with a cautious expression, staring at the front door of the restaurant with his eyes tightly. The steel knife in his hand shone with a dazzling light. Suddenly, the two front doors of the restaurant flew out suddenly. Fortunately, Zhang Yang was very focused and fell to the ground as soon as possible. The two front doors flew over from his head and smashed into the opposite building.

A shrill roar came from the restaurant, and then the entire earth began to vibrate with the huge "dongdongdong" footsteps. Zhang Yang's face was solemn. He raised his head suddenly and saw a huge zombie wearing a chef's clothes rushing out with a bone-removing knife.

The chef was about two meters away. The white chef's uniform was shattered, revealing a body of rotten flesh. His scarlet eyes were fierce, and his fat body was like a ball. The bone-clearing knife on his right hand, which was shining with cold light, slashed fiercely at Zhang Yang's head.

Zhang Yang rolled to the side in a mess, and at the same time he threw out the steel knife in his hand and headed straight for the chef. The machete was extremely powerful, and he slashed down with one knife and directly slashed a crack on the ground. The steel knife that Zhang Yang threw out was blocked by the chef's right hand and was embedded in the flesh.

Zhang Yang turned over and stood up, took out another steel knife from behind. He wanted to run away because the chef gave him a feeling of being too dangerous. This was definitely a mutated zombie. Both strength and speed would be several times that of an ordinary zombie. However, the chef did not give him a chance, and suddenly jumped up, covering Zhang Yang like a black cloud, and the machete in his hand slashed down again!

Zhang Yang could only dodge in a mess. If he had not had some experience in fighting with zombies in recent days, he would probably not be able to hold on even a single encounter.

"I will definitely not be able to hold on if this continues!"

After a heavy blow in a mess again, Zhang Yang thought to himself that he began to run around the chef, using his agility and speed to move constantly, preventing the chef from finding a chance to take action. At the same time, he was also observing, observing the chef's weakness. Obviously, the bone-clearing knife was too threatening, so he had to knock it out first.

Thinking of this, Zhang Yang made up his mind and suddenly rushed forward. The shield in his hand protected him and hit the chef's chest hard. The huge force knocked the chef hard and then leaned down. Zhang Yang took the opportunity to wave the steel knife in his hand and slashed hard on the chef's right arm. With a harsh sound, the steel knife was embedded in the chef's arm bone.

The chef roared and slapped Zhang Yang away with a slap. Then he pulled the steel knife from his arm down and threw it to the side. He rushed towards Zhang Yang with big strides.

The severe pain came from his back. Zhang Yang forced himself to hold it up, raised his shield, blocking the bone-knitting knife that was slashing over. However, the huge force still knocked him out. At this moment, his whole body was injured, and even felt cracks appeared on the bones of his arms.

The chef roared lowly and walked towards Zhang Yang step by step. The bone-clearing knife in his hand emitted a faint cold light. At this moment, Zhang Yang saw a purple ray of light from the distance, and then he saw a purple energy ball roaring towards him. It was extremely fast and almost blasted the chef's back. It actually bombarded the chef's huge body and threw it into the restaurant.

Zhang Yang struggled to stand up and saw three people walking not far away. The man in the lead was a bald, bearded and strong. He was carrying a large sniper rifle. The thick gun was covered with purple patterns, and a purple smoke screen rose at the muzzle. It was obvious that the energy sphere just now was shot out from the sniper rifle. He was wearing a dark combat uniform, covering his chest and forearm with a layer of armor similar to steel plates.

The bald man followed two people, who seemed to be twins, each holding two metal swords in his hands. His upper body was naked and his red hair was eye-catching.

It was the first time that humans saw humans in this damn world. Zhang Yang was so excited that he didn't care about his injuries and stumbled towards the three of them.

The bald man frowned when he saw Zhang Yang. Before Zhang Yang could run closer, he suddenly pulled the sniper rifle in his hand flat and pulled the trigger. A purple energy ball roared out, and Zhang Yang was almost at a close distance.

Fortunately, Zhang Yang subconsciously raised his shield and was instantly flooded by this ball of purple energy. Zhang Yang was shot away and then slid several meters on the ground and stopped moving.

The bald man smiled coldly and no longer looked at Zhang Yang, but said to the two behind him: "Put off this zombie leader, our mission will be completed. You two are quick!"

The twins behind him nodded, then rushed into the restaurant with their two swords. The battle was about to break out and it subsided in an instant. The twins shouted excitedly: "Fuck, this boss is so powerful, look, I'll burst into a star green suit!" As soon as the words finished, one of the twins walked out with the chef's bone-clearing knife.

The bald man took the machete, looked carefully, and couldn't help but smiled with satisfaction: "No, it should be sold for a good price." As soon as he finished speaking, he suddenly felt a strong wind blowing. The bald man suddenly flashed and saw a steel knife flying out on his cheek. Then a strong figure snatched the bone-clearing knife in his hand, and disappeared from the corner of the street between several rises and falls.

"Damn it, this kid pretended to be dead!" The bald man shouted, and he chased after him...
