Chapter 5 Solid Tomb

Young people in adversity either love to dream of making money during the day or work hard down-to-earth.

I also like to dream of getting rich during the day, but in order to fill my stomach, I have to work hard down-to-earth. I don’t think about Senior Sister Huang Fei anymore, so I politely rejected her invitation.

A month later, I got my first salary in my life. Although it was only 1,700 yuan, I could buy more reference books and I didn’t have to ask my parents for money.

My senior sister called again and insisted on inviting me to have dinner together. She and us also asked me to pay and go to the old town noodle restaurant.

I was a little moved, and my senior sister added: "Old Ma is discharged from the hospital, but she can only spend the rest of her life in a wheelchair."

Xiao Tang actually guessed it right!

I still refused my senior sister's invitation because the weather was getting colder and I needed to buy myself winter clothes.

I called again at home and said that my grandmother was about to lose weight and asked me to go back.

I happened to have two days off. Before I got home, I went to the old book stall to "Taobao". When the old man saw me, he asked: "How was that book last time? Didn't I lie to you?"

I glanced over his old books and replied: "The content in the book is very good, but unfortunately it is not practical. I can't find the physical medicinal materials. Even if I find them, I dare not use them. Who knows if there will be side effects?"

The old man was a little unhappy after hearing this and argued: "That's because you stay in the hospital. If you leave the hospital and stay away from the crowd, you will be able to use it."

I found a hand-drawn version of "Acupuncture and First Aid" at his book stall, which records all the meridians and acupoints in the human body and their respective functions. It is very practical. When asked, it is not expensive, so I bought it for 10 yuan.

My grandmother has returned to my uncle's house. I went to my uncle's house in Huimeng Town, Beigang District and found the broken knife left to me by my grandfather. Now it is so rust that it is not obvious that it is a knife.

When my uncle saw me coming, he shouted, "It's better to have a day than to choose a day. You are here. We will go to build the tomb for your grandfather's new grave today and move the tomb tomorrow."

After hearing this, I complained secretly. My uncle said "tomb tomb" means to reinforce the newly excavated tomb.

My grandfather's new tomb was chosen on the hillside near the Persimmon Grotto southeast of the Ring Road. My uncle took me and a few helpers from the same village to drive us in a motorized tricycle.

There was a young man who was a few years older than me who was tall and big, dark-skinned, but his big eyes were particularly sensual. My uncle introduced: "He is Zhenmin. You two let the cows go together when you were young."

I immediately remembered that Brother Zhenmin is six years older than me, and his father died in an accident while building a new house for his uncle.

Brother Zhenmin’s family did not hate my grandmother’s family because of this, which made my grandmother even more uneasy and tried to pay as much as possible.

"Xiaohua has grown up so old, where do you go to work?" Brother Zhenmin asked.

I quickly replied: "Yes, we haven't seen each other for many years. I work in a hospital in Luoyang. Brother Zhenmin, what job are you doing now?"

Zhenmin replied: "I bought a car with four fronts and eight major east winds, and ran a short distance."

There was also a young man in his thirties in the same car, but he was fair and weak. We called him the "Champion" brother, and we also let go of the cow together.

The champion said: "Your grandfather's new grave is a Feng Shui treasure land. I originally planned to build the house there, but your uncle forced it to buy it for a lot of money."

Zhenmin refuted him: "Brother Chanjun, look at what you said, how could you build your own house on a cemetery? The regional government has already planned to plan it into a high-end cemetery. Only the natives and those who are willing to pay can be buried there."

With the roar and bumps of the tricycle, we rushed to our grandfather's new tomb. This place was indeed a Feng Shui treasure land, backed by the Ring Road, on the left is the loess road up the mountain, on the right is the Shishugou, and on the south is a Willow Stream.

However, I know nothing about Feng Shui, only limiting and sufficient light, and leaning against mountains and rivers, so that at least the grave will not be washed away by the flood or buried by the mud.

The tomb was newly dug, but there were already several tombs next to it. My uncle took me to start unloading cement and bricks to the ground.

This is all hard work. Brother Zhenmin takes good care of me. There is also an old bricklayer who smokes cigarettes on the side. When we unload the truck and make up the mud, we roll up our sleeves and start work with a tile knife.

I had a natural fear of the grave, so I refused to enter the ground. Brother Zhenmin didn't care and took the blue bricks I handed out from below. After the bricks were out of the kiln, they were poured with cold water and quickly cooled down. The color also changed from pink to green, making it more bulky and sturdy.

The champion was responsible for the mud, so he and his uncle took the bucket down to the bottom of the ditch to get water.

The old bricklayer smoked and chatted: "We are the world's number one funeral treasure land, and I don't know how many noble officials are buried underneath!"

I was so tired that I didn't say anything, but Brother Zhenmin retorted: "This is the world's number one funeral treasure land, why don't there be an emperor's tomb?"

Brother Zhenmin is right. Although I don’t know much about history, I have never heard my grandmother and uncle mention which emperor is buried in the Mangling?

The old mason explained calmly: "The emperor is already the emperor's destiny, and will he choose the tomb here? The Feng Shui of Mangling can change the fate of the descendants of the burialist, to be precise, it is to change the poor into the rich, and the lowly into the noble."

After hearing this, I was skeptical. If my uncle becomes an official or makes a fortune in the future, it means that the mason is right.

Even if it is an empty tomb, I will feel uncomfortable when I look at it, so I tried not to see the tomb, but Brother Zhenmin didn't care at all. He stayed in the tomb and continued to talk and laugh with us.

He told me that Brother Champion has been playing tricks since he was a child, and he loves to plot when he grew up, but now he is doing a deadly business.

I hurriedly asked: "Die people's business? What business?"

Zhenmin introduced: "Brother Chanjun opened a birthday shop next to Anle Crematorium, which specializes in funeral supplies. Recently, he has also opened a cemetery. His family has divided dozens of acres of hillside forest land, all of which have become cemeteries, and are ready to be sold at a high price."

The mason was deliberately slowing down. It was only after the sun set in the west that the work was completed. Brother Zhenmin was responsible for packing the tools. He called me casually, and I couldn't help but look into the tomb, which scared me.

A black shadow stood in the tomb. My uncle started the tricycle and turned on the headlights. Brother Zhenmin walked out of the tomb with a shovel.

I returned to my uncle's house, washed my face and hands in a hurry, and had dinner together.

My cousin was about to go to feed my grandmother, so I hurriedly said, "Cousin, please leave it first, wait for me to go."

My uncle and aunt did not object. After a hurry, I picked up the food and went to the wing room where my grandmother lived. The light inside was dim and the kettle on the fire was steaming.

When my grandmother saw someone coming in, she opened her eyes.

I hurriedly stepped forward and said it was me. Grandma answered, and her ears were not good. She drank a few sips of porridge and asked me: "Do you believe in the curse?"

The word "curse" comes from my grandmother's mouth. It was a bit surprising that my grandmother is an authentic country woman who only knows numbers, not Chinese characters, and can't even write names.

I replied: "I don't know, curses are like witchcraft and poison. If they are really effective, they will have been reported by the news and explained scientifically."

"Your grandfather died after being cursed, and Zhenmin's father, both of them have been to the depths of the Yehu Gully, where there is an ancient tomb." Grandma said very slowly, but very clearly.
