Chapter 49(1/2)
49. Chaos in the Deep Palace Pool 1
Yu'er and Kurihara were sitting under a tree in the distance.
"You have been in the palace for so long, but have you found any good treasures in the palace?" Yu'er said.
"There are quite a few treasures." Kurihara said, "However, there are not many that can be considered good."
As he spoke, he took out something from his sleeve.
"What is this?" Yu'er took it and looked at it in her hand.
Dark red in color, with a round body, a long mouth, and a curved handle, it is just an ordinary earthenware teapot.
Looking over the bottom of the pot, there are three words written on it: "Cut-off Pot".
"What's so strange about this?" Yu'er looked over and over again.
Now that Kurihara had taken it, he wanted to identify the extraordinary object, but he really couldn't see any mystery in it.
"Even though it looks inconspicuous, it is an incredible treasure. Things stored in it can become immortal," Kurihara said.
"Immortal?" Yu'er looked at it again, still confused.
"Of course you can't see it with the naked eye, and it's all in vain for you to see." Kurihara said.
"Then how do you know if it really has such a miraculous effect?" Yu'er asked.
"I heard what the old Tianxuan Taoist said." Kurihara said.
"He?" Yu'er asked curiously.
"That day I was in the Chongqing Palace listening to the emperor, the prince, Tianxuan, and several ministers talking about the tributes from the Mingdan Kingdom. The old Taoist Tianxuan said, 'Although there are many rare treasures in the world, only our Huanyue Kingdom
The pot with a broken flow is the best, and the things it holds are immortal and incorruptible. Looking at the world, there is no one like it."
Kurihara imitated Taoist Master Tianxuan, pacing, lowering his voice, and stroking his long beard.
"Well, I learned quite a lot." Yu'er smiled, "So you went to find this treasure?"
"Of course!" Kurihara said, "Since there is such a good thing, how can you miss it?"
"You were in Chongqing Hall, and that old Taoist Tianxuan didn't notice you?" Yu'er asked curiously.
"I was in Chang Fu's body and borrowed his body." Kurihara said.
"That's right, your soul-entering technique is better than mine." Yu'er nodded and asked, "Are there any other treasures?"
"Isn't this good enough?" Kurihara said.
"It's not that it's not good enough. No matter how good it is, there's only one thing." Yu'er said.
"If you like it, I'll give it to you." Kurihara said.
"A gentleman does not take away someone's love." Yu'er put the broken pot into Kurihara's hand and said.
"Are you a gentleman? Are you a fox demon or a banshee." Kurihara said with a smile.
"If I take something from you, why don't you blackmail me? I won't be fooled by you." Yu'er said.
"That's true. We've already given such a nice gift, why don't we get down to business." Kurihara approached Yu'er's face and said with an evil smile.
"If you have the guts, why don't you give it a try?" Yu'er raised her eyebrows at him, tilted her head and smiled.
Kurihara stretched out his hands, making a gesture to pounce on her.
Yu'er put her hands behind her back and looked at him with a smile.
Kurihara suddenly stopped moving, staring into the distance and said: "This kid is not stupid, I didn't work in vain."
When Yu'er hurriedly looked back, she saw Chi Lin holding Ning Jia in the distance, and seemed to be talking something, but after all, they were far away and couldn't hear their words.
Chi Lin let go of Ning Jia, reached out and touched the scar on her neck gently, and said sympathetically: "Does it still hurt?"
Ning Jia shook her head: "It's much better."
Ning Jia looked at Chi Lin's face. There were four or five bruises on his forehead and cheeks. She stretched out a hand and touched his injured area and whispered, "Does it hurt?"
"It doesn't hurt." Chi Lin looked at her and said softly.
Ning Jia looked at his arm again. It was still tied with a cloth bandage, but there was no blood on it.
"Is it Mu Yunhui's injury? Does it matter?" Ning Jia said.
"It's just a slight injury, it doesn't matter." Chi Lin said.
"Why not be more careful?" Ning Jia said.
Chi Lin took her hand, held it gently, and said with a smile: "Since you are so worried about me, you should have married me earlier and just look at me every day."
Ning Jia just let him hold her hand, not knowing what to say, so she blushed and lowered her head.
When they were children, the two often played together, and occasionally taught her how to draw a bow and use a sword.
I don’t know when he started holding her hand and teaching her to write. When he drew the bow, she suddenly became shy.
The jade-white face had a faint crimson look, and it was inadvertently deeply engraved in the memory of the years.
"Second sister, will she also..." Ning Jia suddenly spoke, but then paused.
"Could it be something?" Chi Lin asked.
"Would it be possible for you..." Ning Jia said.
"Don't worry, the person the second princess likes is not me." Chi Lin said.
"Who is that?" Ning Jia said.
"That's Meng Hanzhen, the fourth son of the Meng family." Chi Lin said.
"Ah?" Ning Jia said in surprise, "Really?"
"Of course it's true." Chi Lin smiled.
"How did you know?" Ning Jia said.
"They went horse riding in the countryside together last month, did you know?" Chi Lin said.
"Second sister? How could she leave the palace?" Ning Jia was even more surprised.
"Do you think everyone is like you and will just stay in the palace obediently?" Chi Lin looked at her and smiled.
He suddenly stopped smiling and said sternly to Ning Jia: "Don't come out again, I will go see you."
Ning Jia nodded.
"You've been out for a long time, it's time to go back." Chi Lin said.
"How to go back?" Ning Jia said.
"How did you get here and how do you get back?" Chi Lin said.
After saying that, he raised his voice and shouted: "Demon fox, come out."
After calling twice, Yu'er and Kurihara were already nearby.
"You send him a beauty, but he calls you a demon fox." Kurihara smiled at Yu'er.
"It's not wrong, I am a fox demon." Yu'er didn't care and smiled.
He approached Ning Jia and whispered, "How are you? Are you happy?"
Ning Jia looked at Chi Lin, blushing and saying nothing.
Yu'er straightened up and said, "Then go back."
He turned back to Kurihara and said, "Why don't you send him back?"
"I know." Kurihara said, slightly tugging at the corner of his mouth and smiling.
"Let's go." Yu'er said to Ning Jia.
Ning Jia looked at Chi Lin again.
"Go back." Chi Lin said sternly to her.
Yu'er still picked up Ning Jia, stood up, and the blue shadow flashed past, heading towards the palace.
Here, Kurihara had climbed up to the treetops and said to Chi Lin: "Go back by yourself."
The night was long, and he had long since disappeared.
Chi Lin figured out the direction and walked towards Jingyue City.
Ning Jia returned to Jian Jia Palace, full of joy and embarrassment, and lay on the couch for a long time before falling asleep.
The night breeze was gentle, and Yu'er was sleeping soundly next to Ning Jia, when she was suddenly awakened by a low and painful sound.
Ning Jia was seen furrowing her brows, curling up, clenching her fists tightly with her hands on her chin, opening her mouth slightly, and letting out a painful groan.
What's wrong?
Yu'er leaned forward and cupped her face to wake her up, but to her surprise, her face was wet.
Are they beads of sweat?
To be continued...
