Chapter 20 Radical Factors (Part 2)(2/2)

Joel looked at the darkness and reached out and silently pulled out the black sword at his waist.

Puji Puji. A tall but slender figure moved a little in the darkness at the edge of the fire.

"You are still alive." The figure said again, "You... are the same as me?"

"Big, sir?" Hemi called softly, tremblingly.

The figure was stunned for a moment, then stopped. He didn't say anything, but retreated. Puji pji. Then he disappeared into the darkness.

"What is that?" the old nun asked in horror.

"Two deformed souls." The old man's ghost said mysteriously.

"Who is there?" the old nun asked in panic again, but the old man's ghost did not speak anymore.

"You're here to wait," Joel reminded Hemi, "stay with the old nun and lock the door. I'll come back to pick you up soon." After that, Joel temporarily put away his sword and reached out to touch Hemi's head. Her soft hair was like her mother, Joel thought.

"But...Mr. Kangting!" Hermi wanted to reach out to grab Joel's hand, but Joel had already drawn his sword again and walked towards the darkness where the figure had disappeared just now. "Mr. Kangting!" Hermi shouted with great difficulty. Her mother's death not only made her cry and blind her eyes, but also made her throat unable to make too loud noises. "Please wait..."

Joel ignored Hemi's call and just walked forward with the sword in his hand. The black lantern in his other hand drove away the darkness around him. The old man's ghost followed closely, which made Joel feel a little relieved because he knew that this ghost would not let him die easily, and it might be better if he was helping.

"Okay, Hemi, go in quickly." The old nun walked to the door and said to Hemi, "Let me leave it to Mr. Kang Ting."

"But, Sister Nanan..." Hemi was breathless because of anxiety, "Sir, he...he..."

"Sir? Who are you talking about?" the old nun who closed the door asked in confusion.
