Chapter 21 Hunting Night (Part 2)(2/2)
"But countless people will be buried in the fire!" The old nun refused to retreat, "Does it matter if you do this, Mr. Kang Ting?" Then she looked towards Hemi again, "Does it matter if you do this, Hemi?"
"I don't care." Joel stood up and grabbed Hemi's hand.
But Hemi wanted to break free from him. "No, Mr. Kang Ting! I can't..."
"Anyway, I'm going to take her out of here." Joel said to the old nun resolutely.
"No! You can't make decisions for me!" Hemi wanted to resist.
"No, I can." Joel said and pulled Hemi out of the old nun's house.
"Mr. Kang Ting, please..." Hemi was almost crying anxiously, "I can't..."
Joel squatted down again, this time he hugged Hemi. "No, you can." Joel whispered to her, "You don't have to think so much, just leave these responsibilities to the adults." Hemi was stunned. Joel hung the lantern around his waist and reached out to pick her up, "Just leave it to me." Joel looked at the old man's ghost, and the old man replied with a meaningful look.
"The seal will be broken!" the old nun shouted loudly from behind, "Disaster will return to the world!"
Hemi wrapped his head around Joel's neck and buried his head in him. Joel could feel her trembling. "Don't be afraid," Joel told her, "leave it all to me."
"Mr. Contin..." Hermi was sobbing in a low voice.
"You will kill countless people like this!" the old nun screamed almost madly, "Crazy! You selfish mercenaries! You are all crazy!"
"It's okay, leave it to me." Joel told Hemi, holding her hands harder. Joel found that she was wearing too thin and winter was coming.
"Mr. Contin..." Hermi called in a low voice.
"Um."
