Chapter 24 The Slug Ball (Part 1)
"Jack! You lied to me." Hermione and Silver just walked to the door of the auditorium, leaned into the door, and took her back and pulled Silver to a corner.
She looked so angry that she looked very cute to Silver, "You promised me! This is just an ordinary party!"
At this time, another girl in a fashionable dress walked by with a Slytherin student. The girl looked at Hermione, who was dressed in ordinary clothes and had messy hair, and then walked by proudly with her head raised.
"I want to teach her a lesson!" Hermione was angry and about to take out her wand to curse the girl. Silver quickly stopped her. He didn't want to make trouble in front of Slughorn. "Hermione, don't be angry, that woman is just a friend invited by Slytherin. She doesn't have an invitation like you."
"You shouldn't lie to me," Hermione said with a sharp voice. "I'm going back and changing into my dress and returning!"
"Dear, don't do this, it's too late." Silver regretted not to tease Hermione at this time, "You really don't have to care too much about other people's outfits. Professor Slughorn doesn't care about these."
"But I care!" cried Hermione, "If I appeared at the dance, I would have been laughed at for several years."
"With me here, they dare not laugh at you, at most they are jealous of you."
"No, they'll make fun of me!" Hermione grabbed her hair. "Jack, cast my hair quickly, and I hope that at least when I showed up at the dance, my hair wouldn't be as chaotic as it is."
"But--are you very much against doing this before?"
"Isn't it all your fault!" Hermione said crazy. "Now I really hope to do this."
"But I don't know that curse at all. My mom is very good at it." Silver blinked, "Why should I contact her now?"
"How can you do this!"
"Okay, Hermione, don't worry about that much." Silver pulled Hermione into the auditorium, "No one dares to laugh at you, I promise."
They came to the auditorium and found that there were extremely many girls wandering there. When Silver pulled Hermione in, they seemed to be staring at Hermione resentful. Hermione first shrank behind Silver, but soon became bolder, and walked side by side with Silver with her head and chest.
"It's all your fault, you're embarrassing me!" Hermione said on tiptoe and leaned closer to Silver's ear.
"Dear, I think you've earned enough face at the Christmas ball in the Trio." Silver hugged Hermione's waist, "It's nothing to lose a little now."
Hermione giggled, avoiding Silver's claws, "You always like to talk nonsense, Jack."
“Where is the party?”
"According to the invitation, the main venue is in Slughorn's office." Silver took her up the marble steps and left the girls' eyes and murmurs, "I heard that he also invited a vampire to liven up the atmosphere."
"Vampire?" Hermione smiled, "Is this a special guest who is active?"
"This vampire is the protagonist prototype in a best-selling novel. He is very famous. Professor Slughorn has also squandered a lot of thought to invite this vampire in - I remember that Hogwarts didn't welcome vampires very much. Perhaps Principal Sclinger helped him."
They had approached Slughorn's office, laughter, music and loud voices strengthened with their paces.
I don't know if it was this or because of magic, Slughorn's office was much larger than that of ordinary teachers' rooms. The ceiling and walls were hung with green, dark red and golden curtains, which looked like they were in a large tent. The room was crowded and stuffy, and was illuminated by a golden light hanging in the center of the ceiling. There were real elves flashing in the lamp, and each elves were a bright spot of light. A corner in the distance came loud, sounding like a song accompanied by a mandolin; the heads of several old witches who were in great enthusiasm were covered with the blue mist of pipes; some domestic elves squeaked through the jungle of their legs, holding heavy silver plates, covering their bodies, and looking like a wandering small table.
"Jack, my child! Of course, you, the beautiful and wise Miss Granger." As soon as Silver and Hermione squeezed into the door, Slughorn shouted in a loud voice, "Come in, come in, so many people are going to let you meet!"
Slughorn led Silver into the crowd without saying a word, grabbing Silver's arm tightly. Silver took Hermione's hand and dragged her, somewhat reluctantly, forward together.
"Jack, I want you to meet Eld Waple, my former student, the author of the best-selling novel "Brothers of Blood: I Live in Vampires" - and of course, his friend Bloody Ni."
Worple is a small man in glasses, and he grabbed Silver's hand and held it eagerly. The vampire blood Ni was tall and thin, with dark circles under his eyes, and a group of girls stood beside him, curious and excited.
"Jack Silver, I'm so happy!" Wople said, staring at Silver's face with myopic eyes. "It's not an easy thing to see you, the future head of the Silver family. Can you tell me why you want to cash out your assets in England? My friends all say it's because the Silver family is pessimistic about the current situation in England. If I can figure out this problem, I will definitely sell 100,000 copies of this book!"
